Harold's Store
Lou is going through the contents of a shopping basket while Toadie and Lucas watch. He suggests they ditch the Earl Grey, because Harold can't stand it.
TOADIE: Nah, he had a cup at my joint the other day. He loved it.
LOU: Well he was just being polite, because that's what he does.
LUCAS: Chamomile, that's what he wants!
Lucas walks away and past Ringo, who's looking awkward because Donna's just walked in.
RINGO: Hey.
DONNA: Hi.
LUCAS: (whistles) That went well.
Rachel comes in and says she needs to Ringo to drive her somewhere. Ringo points out that he doesn't have a car anymore. Donna is wondering why they are being so secretive. Rachel tells her they need a car and Donna offers up Elle's, because she knows where she keeps the spare keys. Ringo is looking for anyone else who could possibly have a car, but Ty's car is at the garage and Declan isn't answering his phone.
DONNA: See? You so need me! Do we get to wear disguises?
Rachel rejects this suggestion and the three of them walk out.
Ramsay Street
Donna and Ringo are walking down the driveway of number 22, Donna telling Ringo off for walking loudly. They hide behind a bush to avoid being seen by Elle, Paul, Harold and Lou who are standing in the street talking. Donna realises that she's holding Ringo's hand and drops it, apologising.
Harold declares that he is officially into remission - no more chemo - and everyone is happy for him. Here comes Sass down the driveway, with Tegan and Simon in tow. She's seen everyone out in the street and has brought some muffins to go with their tea; it's the least she can do. She's thinking of having a working bee later, because her garden needs work.
Donna desperately starts waving, trying to get Tegan's attention. Tegan finally notices, but doesn't move. Donna pulls out her phone and calls Tegan.
DONNA: I need your help.
TEGAN: Have you had too much coffee again?
DONNA: No, I need you to distract Elle, okay?
TEGAN: Why?
DONNA: I don't have time. Just do it!
They hang up and Tegan pulls Elle away, telling her about the bargain jacket she bought.
RINGO: Your family is unbelievable.
DONNA: Shut up and drive.
Number 26
Miranda is in the kitchen, cleaning something in the fridge. Bridget comes in and thanks her for being so cool about all this (meaning Joanna). Miranda warns her to be careful but Bridget says she's not the enemy. Steve comes in and agrees with Bridget. He thinks they should invite her around for lunch today, so Bridget goes out to call.
MIRANDA: So now you expect me to cook for Joanna!
STEVE: This way we can keep an eye on her.
MIRANGA: I did the right thing.
Steve walks out.
Phil's Temporary Abode
Zeke walks in, closely followed by Rachel, Ringo and Donna. Zeke flashes back to learning martial arts with Phil, while Donna is finding it hard to believe that he lived there. Zeke is going through one of the boxes and picks up a chess piece, before flashing back to more martial arts with Phil. Donna knocks something off the table, interrupting the flashback, but Zeke yells at her to stop trashing the place. Ringo steps in to defend Donna and suggests they leave. Zeke agrees and tells them to go and leave him there. They walk out.
Number 26
Miranda and Steve are in the kitchen getting ready for lunch. Bridget is in the lounge room and wants to look nice for Joanna. She wonders if her parents will be alright and Declan thinks they'll be freaking out. Bridget thinks maybe she should cancel, but just then Joanna knocks at the door. She's got a baby monitor as a present for Bridget and some flowers for Miranda.
Cut to everyone sitting at the dining table in silence. Bridget tries to talk to Joanna about her job (she's a florist) and Joanna asks about her nickname, Didge. Miranda says that Riley gave it to her and Bridget tells her he's in Sydney. Steve asks Joanna if she has any children - Joanna has two little girls, Josie and Clara.
Bridget goes to get some water from the kitchen and Joanna follows. She wants to apologise to Bridget.
JOANNA: I didn't say anything earlier because ... because I thought it might upset you. I just couldn't give you and Riley what you needed.
BRIDGET: But that's changed?
JOANNA: It took me a long time to get my act together. Years.
BRIDGET: You could have come back for us. You could have at least looked for us.
JOANNA: I made such a mess of things. You and Riley were happy. How could I undo that? I never, never stopped thinking about you. Every night I'd say a prayer for you both.
They hug, while Miranda looks on, jealous.
Number 24
Harold and Lou are gardening out the front, with Steph and Charlie in the background also helping. Sass comes out with drinks for everyone and Simon is watching her (while listening to his iPod of course). Harold is annoyed that Lou keeps asking questions, but Lou just wants everything to be as Sass likes them. Harold picks up the wheelbarrow but up runs Lucas to grab it, as Harold is supposed to be taking it easy.
HAROLD: I'm feeling better! (long pause) Which is why I'm leaving tomorrow to go and visit Sky.
STEPH: Whoah, hang on. What?
LOU: What brought this on?
HAROLD: Her doctors want to bring the baby on earlier and I just want to be there to help her.
STEPH: But we won't get to say goodbye!
HAROLD: We're saying goodbye now.
STEPH: It's not the same and you know it.
HAROLD: (turns to Lou) Come on, you must have your two cents worth to throw in.
LOU: You're a stubborn old codger who won't listen to anyone. Why would you want to listen to me?
HAROLD: Sky needs my help. Anyway, it's not as if I'm not coming back.
STEPH: Well you'd better, Mister.
Steph and Harold hug, while Simon points out to his mother that Paul isn't coming - he thinks he's a loser and she shouldn't waste her time.
Charlie's Bar
Paul and Elle are sitting at a table, Elle typing something on her laptop. Toadie comes over and reads over her shoulder, revealing it to be a newspaper article about Zeke. He notices that Karl and Susan will be on the front cover again and Paul thinks they should start leading normal, quiet lives like the rest of them. Toadie asks if they're joining the working bee and adds that he's shouting everyone pizzas for lunch.
PAUL: Actually, I think I might pop over there. Just to be neighbourly, of course.
ELLE: Yeah, why not? Play right into her claws. Sorry, hands.
PAUL: Saucer of milk over here, thanks!
ELLE: See you men, so simple falling for the obvious.
TOADIE: Obvious doesn't cancel out hot. Alright, time to get fawned over!
PAUL: Tell Cass I might see her later, hey?
TOADIE: No! (He leaves.)
ELLE: You do realise this whole working bee thing is just a simple ploy for her to get poor, lonely, sad Paul Robinson out to play.
PAUL: Well maybe poor, lonely, sad Paul Robinson hasn't had a play date for a while.
Elle looks appalled and covers her ears, as Paul wonders what to wear.
Number 24
The working bee party (minus Harold) is in the kitchen, eating pizza. Toadie is shocked at the news that Harold is leaving tomorrow, as it doesn't leave time for a big send-off. Lou remarks that that's why he didn't mention it before now and Steph wants to send him off in style.
Cut to Sass and Simon in the living room. Sass wants to know why Paul is a loser and Simon says it's because he gave him a big lecture, like he was his Dad. He spills about super-glueing the door and Sass looks shocked. She hugs him, telling him never to do that again, but is looking very happy. She sits down on the couch next to Tegan, calling herself Mrs. Robinson.
Phil's Temporary Abode
Rachel, Ringo and Donna are outside by the car, talking about Zeke. Rachel thought bring him here would help, whilst Donna thinks she would hate to be him and that they should be nice to him. Ringo disagrees but Donna points out that they're meant to be friends.
RINGO: You just like having him around because he's got the hots for you!
DONNA: God, you're such a jerk sometimes.
RACHEL: Just shut up! Both of you.
Ringo asks Rachel what she wants to do, who replies that she just wants to look after him.
She goes inside to rejoin Zeke, who is staring at a chess set and crying.
ZEKE: He told me that I was his son. It's like, it's like he took you all away. How could he do that?
Rachel leans down to hug Zeke.
Phil's Temporary Abode
Zeke is packing some of his stuff up to take with him, although Rachel wonders if he really wants to keep it. They are interrupted by Phil, who thinks he should keep it, seeing as it's his. He reveals that he got bail and tries to talk to Zeke, but Rachel tells him to shut up.
ZEKE: You're right. I do want it. It can remind me who I can and can't trust. (pause) You lied to me.
PHIL: Yeah, I know.
ZEKE: And that's supposed to make it alright? Everything you put me through. Everything you put my family through.
PHIL: I lost my own boy. And I ...
ZEKE: No. I'm sorry, that doesn't make it alright.
PHIL: Yeah. Yeah you're right. I'm sorry ... Zeke.
ZEKE: I could never be Trent. (pause) Thank you. Thank you for saving my life.
They shake hands.
PHIL: You're a fine young man, Zeke. You're family has raised you well.
ZEKE: I guess they have.
Zeke and Rachel leave, holding hands.
Number 24
Harold is raking the grass, when Steph rocks up with Lucas and Declan in tow. They are talking about a send-off for Harold. Declan reveals that he wants to escape the house, because it's like World War Three in there. Steph pricks herself and Harold notices the three of them and hands Steph a pair of gloves.
Along comes Paul, with Elle following behind. Steph remarks that his clothes are quite formal for gardening, but Paul thinks he will just supervise. Elle joins the group, looking around for something.
ELLE: Hey, has anyone seen my car?
LUCAS: (laughing) Did you forget where you put it?
ELLE: No, I could have sworn I left it over there.
HAROLD: Ah...well, I think I saw Donna looking at it before.
ELLE: Donna?!
LUCAS: Yeah, she asked to borrow a coat hanger from me.
Elle gasps and hurries off.
LUCAS: Joke!
Declan, Lucas and Steph leave when Sass arrives, amazed that Paul came. She tells him that the next time he stands her up because she's helping Simon, to call her. But she thanks him for taking the time.
PAUL: It was nothing.
SASS: Good. Harold will show you where the tools are. The gardening tools.
Harold's Store
Zeke and Rachel walk into the store, where they are greeted by Toadie. Rachel and Zeke sit down at a table with Donna and Ringo, where Lou brings them two Lime and Ice-creams. Rachel reminds him that he loves them, but Zeke thinks it's disgusting. Donna is talking about Zeke's memorial, where everyone had to drink them, however Zeke just wants her to stop talking for two seconds. Once again, Ringo jumps in to defend Donna and Rachel and Zeke leave. Donna thanks Ringo, but is soon accosted by Elle, who is demanding the keys back.
Number 26
Bridget is thanking her parents for being so great, however Miranda still isn't happy. She tells Bridget that she doesn't want her seeing Joanna anymore and that she's not good for her. Bridget disagrees and walks out, rejecting Miranda's wish that she promise not to contact her again. It's time for Miranda to pull out the big guns.
MIRANDA: She took money to stay away from you. That's why she doesn't deserve you.
BRIDGET: You're lying!
MIRANDA: No I'm not.
BRIDGET: Well how do you know? How do you know?
MIRANDA: Because I paid her.
Harold's Store
Bridget is talking to Declan about what happened, when in walks Joanna. She apologises, but Bridget isn't having any of it. She just wants her to take the money and get out of her life. Joanna tries to get her to keep the money, because it's for her and Riley. Bridget is angry at her and Miranda - they're are both liars. Joanna tries to get Bridget to see that Miranda loves her, but Bridget thinks she hates her.
JOANNA: I was just like you. Exactly like you. Too young, too scared and just not ready.
DECLAN: Okay, that's enough. (to Bridget) Don't listen to her. You are ready. We're ready.
