Recap
Libby asks a shocked Elle if she's pregnant.
Zeke sees Declan kissing skanky Sharni; he dumps her and she calls him a tool
Bridget collapses at the hospital
Erinsborough Hospital
Bridget is now in bed being comforted by Declan as Karl tells them she'll be OK. It's just exhaustion. Karl reveals to Declan that he knows she's pregnant, and leaves them alone.
BRIDGET: I suppose you'd be happy if there was something wrong wouldn't you?
DECLAN: I don't know, perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad thing if it was out of our hands.
She orders him out, despite his protests that he wouldn't be happy about it.
Charlie's Bar
Rachel is impressed with a song Ty has written for Dan and Libby. As she goes to kiss him, Toadie appears and starts mocking them to Steph and Charlie. Steph suggests that she and Toadie go together to 'the big Kennedy/Fitzgerald on again off again on again off again engagement', but he says he wanted to ask Kelly. There's an awkward moment as Steph tries to hide it and say that's fine. Charlie cutely offers to go with her. Toadie leaves, passing Libby and Dan who are on the way in.
Dan makes a joke about Karl being tight, which amuses Libby. She says if he jokes about Karl's bald spot he'll really be one of the family. Dan uses this moment to bring up asking Dan to the party, which Libby agrees to and further says she wants to invite Elle. This gets Dan suspicious. He forces her to admit she believes Elle is pregnant and she thinks Lucas doesn't know.
Erinsborough Hospital
Rebecca comes in and asks Donna if there's any news on Bridget. She just says she's OK and Miranda goes to ask Karl. He ticks her off as he realises Rebecca knows about Bridget but hasn't told Miranda who he's about to ring. He asks what if it was the other way around, If Miranda knew and she didn't?
REBECCA: I'd heard about this side of you Karl, but I hadn't seen it until now.
She walks off as Karl looks thoughtful.
No 24
Rebecca forces out of Declan that he said something 'really messed up' to Bridget. She guesses what the problem is.
REBECCA: Declan you are not your father. You are honest and brave and you are sensitive and good.
General Store
We see Lucas looking miserable on his own as we pan across to Karl and Susan. She's trying to get him to cheer up, but he's broke and accuses her of liberating the pig. Susan asks if he 'knew about that, did you?'. He suspected, and now she's confirmed it. She says he never would have roasted it. He says he owes her a pig. She pays for coffee and they leave.
Kelly and Dan come in. Kelly goes to talk to Elle at the counter about the engagement party. They are happy that they will have each other to talk to. Elle takes Lucas his coffee and he's now been joined by Dan. Lucas invites her to go the party with him. She brushes him off saying 'I don't need a date...but if you're lucky you might seem me there'.
No 24
Declan looks distracted as Rebecca comes out and tries to get him to talk. He says he threatened Zeke because he saw Declan with Sharni, after Bridget told him she was pregnant. That's why he thinks he's like his dad. Rebecca is shocked but says that he is not his father, and he can prove that by what he does next.
Erinsborough Hospital
Declan finds Zeke waiting for Bridget and apologises. Zeke clearly doesn't want to know. Declan says he's going to tell Bridget the truth. He goes into the room and asks her how she is. She says she's OK and so is the baby. He says he is 'so sorry' and she puts her arms out for a hug, which he takes. He apologises again and Bridget says it's OK. He says it's not, he panicked. He is about to tell her but she insists it's OK. He's worried he's not dad material. She doesn't think she's mum material either, but they'll figure it out. She says she wants to tell her parents. Declan says he'll be there with her. Not yet she says, she wants to have one last day, going to the engagement party.
Charlie's Bar
Ty takes his break and Toadie and Kelly talk about her getting new shoes for the party.
TOADIE: Why what's wrong with those ones?
KELLY: Silly boy, never joke about shoes.
TOADIE: Duly noted.
KELLY: So what do you think it'll be like, speeches, that kind of thing?
TOADIE: Why? Are you one of those people who get all weepy at one of these things?
KELLY: What are you saying?
TOADIE: I'm just trying to warm you up to the idea that I'm one of those people who gets all weepy at these things.
Libby and Steph are watching and both decide they are happy for him, although Steph is sad that she's going to be the only single person at the party. Not true, says Lib, there's Dan's mate Liam. Steph says he just moved in with his girlfriend. What about Matt? Says Lib. 'Gay' says Steph.
STEPH: See, only single in the Village.
Libby says it doesn't matter, it's her party, and she's going to have a great time. Lib also wants to help her tidy up to get there on time. At this she puts her ring on the stereo, and goes to serve a customer. Steph tries the ring on for size, but when she tries to get it off again, it's stuck fast.
General Store
Elle notices that Dan is watching her. She asks what's up and he suggests that Libby told him she's pregnant. Of course, he denies it. He asks about the test and she says it's none of business, so he agrees that he and Libby will butt out. Lucas walks in, finishing a phone call. He asks Elle what she was talking to Dan about. At first she jokes, they're in love and eloping but when pressed, she tells him it's nothing to worry about and walks off.
Charlie's Bar
Steph's finger is smeared with butter as she and Libby attempt to get the ring off. Lib suggests they just go to the party with her wearing the ring, but Steph doesn't think that's a good idea.
STEPH: Unless we can just stop at a jeweller and they cut the thing off and we just fix it later.
LIBBY: or we could just stop at a hospital and they could cut your finger off and we can just fix that later?
Elle comes in wanting a word. She tells Lib to keep her 'big nose and wild assumptions' out of her life. She also wonders if she can smell butter!
WINERY
Rachel examines Ty's finger as an excuse to hold his hand and kiss it. Ty is worried it will seize up when he's playing. Rachel offers to do a naff dance which she demonstrates to distract everyone. Karl comes over and offers to play in place of Ty, but Rachel jumps in saying he's fine.
(Phew. Good save).
Bridget is staring out at the gorgeous view on her own. Zeke asks Declan if he's told her about Sharni yet. He hasn't, he says because Karl says she should have no stress. Zeke sarcastically snaps that it wasn't a selfish decision, and does Dec want him to lie? Declan says no, he can do what he has to, but his priority is to look after Bridget.
DECLAN: It was just one kiss, it's not like I'm ever going to see her again.
Declan goes over to Bridget and they hug. Suddenly a female voice says to Zeke "aren't they sweet?" He turns round and it's - you guessed it - Sharni. She's working at the winery.
Kelly and Toadie arrive and she introduces him to Andrew Simpson, the principal at Erinsborough High. He and Kelly joke about their Uni days together and she suggests introducing him to Steph, but he's not keen. Elle comes over briefly to give Kelly a drink and make eyes at Andrew, who is distracted by her too.
Karl comes out followed by Libby, Steph and Ben to announce the arrival of the happy couple and everyone goes inside. They all gather together and Karl and Ben introduce the fashionably late couple. As everyone claps, Libby and Elle notice they're wearing the same dress and swap looks. Steph makes a speech. As she does so, Kelly pulls out a tissue and hands it to Toadie. A toast is made and Ty and Rachel sing the song Ty wrote. Libby and Dan start dancing and are slowly joined by everyone, most noticeably Elle and Andrew. Boy, he's a fast worker
Later, Kelly plays matchmaker for Elle and Andrew, and when she says she's a journalist he instantly recognises her name from her column which he says is well written. She smiles.
Kelly asks to see Libby's ring. When she realises it's on Steph's finger she comments that it's not a good sign. Obviously she's superstitious. Then she changes the subject:
KELLY: (pointing at Lib and Elle) Hey, are we allowed to talk about the dress? Because we're all thinking it so I'm just going to put it right out there. You both look insanely hot; it's just a bit funny.
Andrew agrees (that Elle looks hot), and so does Lucas. Elle decides she's leaving, and when Andrew offers her a lift, Lucas' smile drops. Steph tries to laugh the dress conversation off and Kelly makes amends by admiring Libby's shoes.
Outside, Lucas runs after Elle and Andrew. He pleads with her to stay.
ELLE: It's late. It's too late.
LUCAS: Is this about a dress?
ELLE: This is so not about a dress.
She makes it clear she's sick of Libby and 'her games...her whiny little voice...her dramas' Then she takes the dress off and throws it at Lucas and leaves with Andrew.
Winery
Rachel and Ty and Bridget and Declan are talking about the song when Zeke comes over and takes Declan aside. He reveals that Sharni is there. Declan brushes past him He tries to talk Bridget into going home. Just then Sharni comes over and says 'Hey Declan'. Then she reveals that Declan was 'all over me like a rash'.
