Number 28
Karl asks Rachel what's going on, she says it's nothing. Libby comes in the door followed by Zeke giving Ben a piggyback. Libby tells Rachel she just saw Ty going over to their place with 'her keyboard'. Rachel says it's not her keyboard, and she wishes everyone would stop going on about it. Karl says it's a mix up, but Zeke points out it was addressed to Rachel. Rachel again wants everyone to stop talking about it, and storms off. Ben is sad because he wanted a go, which Libby & Karl think is cute.
Donna comes in followed by Declan, Bridget & Ringo.
DONNA: Please tell me your mum is auctioning that hottie, he is so slaveworthy.
DECLAN: She's not my mum, she's a random weird woman that doesn't even know me.
Libby asks what they're talking about and, showing her a picture on her phone, Donna says 'your friend Dan's brother, Lucas'. The boys explain he's joined the Dingoes as Dan's replacement. Libby says 'how about that' and her and Karl exchange looks before she tactfully makes her exit to go shopping with Ben.
BEN: Can we buy a keyboard?
LIBBY: Sure!
BEN: Really?
LIBBY: No!
Ringo mentions 'exploitation - like a piece of meat' Declan says 'Dirty and cheap, just the way I like it'. Zeke says if Miranda doesn't buy Declan, then Bridget will. She says he's hers, 'and I better get my $5 worth'. Donna asks Bridget why she's not for sale, but Declan is against the idea. Donna accuses him of double standards, and Ringo tells him to get his money out. Bridget says he better pay top dollar or 'I'm going to find myself a new home'. During this, Rachel gets a text. Zeke comes over to see who it was from and grabs her phone. She tries to stop him but he sees the message 'C U 2nite'.
Charlie's Bar
Rebecca and Miranda are putting up posters for the slave auction, and they're having a laugh doing it. Steve is helping set up with a couple of random extras. Rebecca asks Miranda how things are going. She says 'OK, when we don't think about it too much'.
Just then, Nicola arrives. Everyone stares as she walks up to Miranda and asks if she can help. Miranda rejects her offer and Rebecca exits. Nicola says it's hard for her to walk in there. Miranda doesn't want to hear it, but Nicola asks her to look at her. She does and Nicola says she never set out to hurt her. Miranda says Nicola doesn't mean that, but she insists. Miranda says she's just sorry Nicola ever came back into their lives.
NICOLA: So, you'll forgive him but not me? How do you sleep at night knowing your husband and your sister kissed twice.
General Store
Zeke is running a book on the slave auction.
Thanks to J Bar for saving me having to type this very funny bit:
Ringo: 18 to 1. Hard working. Struggles to get out of the pack and up in the morning but is a team player nonetheless.
Ty: Odds on favourite with dan for the big bucks but Lucas is a real contender.
Lucas: He's promising but recent form is unknown.
Declan: 15 to 1. A show pony. Recent bidding indicates your mum and your girlfriend are having a war on who wants you more, mate.
Ty comes in as Rachel gets another text message. He wants to talk to her, but she walks away, not wanting to talk there. Zeke watches. Ty asks everyone if they're going to the auction. Bridget says she's on sale. Rachel says she can't. Suddenly Libby's asked her to babysit. Ty is disappointed she won't be there. He says 'Front Counter' are playing.
DONNA: Front Counter? No way! I stalked their drummer for months.
Everyone looks a little scared as she phones Josh to tell him. She says it's going 'so well' between them. Ty asks Rachel if they can catch up later. Zeke suggests he back off, and he does. Bridget asks Rachel if everything's OK. She says it is, but she doesn't seem to convincing.
Lassiter's Complex
Libby sends Ben running off to buy spaghetti sauce as she passes Toadie and Steph. He begs her to come to the auction. She says 'Too many Fitzgeralds, and she doesn't have a babysitter. Toadie wants her help with 'his look' She says Steph will help him, but she says she's too busy. As they get to TGS, Rachel comes out and asks if they need a babysitter. Toadie jumps in to say they do. Libby asks if she's not going to the slave auction. Rachel says she has homework to do. Encouraged by Toadie & Steph, Libby accepts her offer. As she walks away, Toadie cheers, nearly deafening Libby.
Charlie's Bar
It's now night time, as Steve kicks the evening off welcoming Declan & 'Miss Erinsborough' - Toadie in drag. The lads come out from backstage where a sign on the door reads 'Clearance on Last Year's Boofheads'. As the boys deliver their opening speeches, Dan & Libby stare at each other across the bar. Dan & Lucas have a brief chat, but all is not really well. Rebecca rounds up the slaves and gives them their contracts for their 'owners'. Rebecca tells them to get their shirts off. This makes Ringo uncomfortable and he walks off. Carmella asks him if he's OK, but he just walks off.
Number 32
Rachel hears noise outside the house and it upsets Harvey too. She tells herself not to be a wimp then gets up and hits a note on the keyboard. As she does Ben comes in and makes her jump. She agrees to read them a story and sends him back to bed. Just then her phone goes. This message reads 'R u feeling lonely tonight'. There's more noise outside and Rachel is clearly spooked now. Ben comes in and she jumps again. As she's talking to him her mobile rings. The background music gets more sinister, but it's only Libby. As they begin talking and Rachel keeps looking outside, the screen splits in 3 showing both girls and a door handle. Libby's just checking in, and they hang up after a short conversation. More noises outside. Harvey barks. Rachel panics and runs to lock the back door, then crouches to hide behind the worktop.
Charlie's Bar
Steph wins a bidding war with Libby for Topless Ty and leads him off, claiming 'you're mine'. She tells him he can put his top back on. He seems relieved, but Rebecca tells her most of them couldn't wait to get their kit off, although some were reluctant.
On stage, non-shirtless Steve is up for auction and Miranda opens the bidding with $5. Carmella asks Rebecca if she's seen Ringo. She hasn't but he's on next. She goes off to look for him.
Donna is sitting on Josh's knee, flirting outrageously, watched by Bridget. Bidding for Steve goes to $12. Toadie pushes the crowd for $20. Nicola offers $30. The two women keep bidding against each other with Steve begging Declan to end it when Miranda is higher. Nicola pushes bidding to $80. Bridget eggs her mother on and she goes to $100. Nicola offers $150. Toadie tries to lighten the tension. Miranda offers $200. Steve begs Toadie to drop the hammer and he does. She then makes her point by leading Steve off by the hand.
Charlie's Bar
Outside, Carmella finds Ringo. She tells him he's 'up soon' and says it won't be as bad as he thinks. He's clearly embarrassed. Carmella says he's amongst friends. She takes his hand and asks if he remembers how they used to trust each other. He looks round nervously and back to Carmella as she gives him a reassuring smile.
On stage, Shirtless Dec is sold to his mum. Toadie introduces the band and they rock the place. Donna enjoys the routine from Josh's lap while he looks at Bridget. Dan stares at Libby who stares at Lucas.
Ty asks Libby if Rachel's OK. She says she is and wonders if there's anything going on between them. Ty doesn't answer and Libby apologises for asking. He walks off and Libby looks puzzled.
The band finishes the song and Toadie offers Bridget for sale 'damaged goods but still reliable trouble'. Declan bids and Josh bids against him. As they compete, Donna tries to laugh it off but he ignores her, and she gets the hint. Eventually Josh bids $80 then Donna bids $100 and Toadie calls 'Sold'. Donna walks off and Josh has blown it.
Number 32
Harvey paws at the back door. Rachel comes to see what's up with him and we hear what sounds like someone trying to get in. Rachel calls Karl but can only get his answering service. She starts to leave a message but opens the door to see nothing but Tazzle on the other side. She tries to get Harvey to hide with her again but he wanders back to the door. Camera work suggests someone watching outside.
Charlie's Bar
Declan tells Bridget he knew Josh was trouble and 'he'll get what's coming to him'. She was impressed with Donna though. Declan tells Donna they owe her big time. She says it was just money. Bridget says a lot of money and asks why. Donna says no reason. Bridget wants to know what she's in for. Donna says she'll think of something.
Toadie takes the stage again and announces Dan's next up. As he goes toward the stage, Steve stops him, saying he can't risk him with his shoulder the way it is. They've got the finals coming up after all.
Karl calls Rachel after getting her message. She tells him it was nothing, just the pets. He says he's off to work and to call if she needs him. As he leaves, Toadie calls Lucas up to the stage. He takes his top off and the crowd go nuts. Libby can't take her eyes off him. Sienna bids against Bonnie who eventually wins at $110. Even when he's with his master, Lucas clearly has Libby on his mind.
As the party carries on, Ringo is alone and feeling unwell, watching everyone have fun. Toadie and Declan announce Ringo as the last slave of the evening. Rebecca whispers in Toadie's ear and he announces Ringo is off the market, having been sold to 'some hot Italian chick' already for $150. Carmella waves the contract, Declan pats Ringo on the bum and he walks off 'Saved by my sister-in-law' is his response. She says it wasn't her, it was the store that bought him as they have odd jobs that need doing.
Libby gives Steph a drink and says she's leaving. Steph says 'don't look now' as Bonnie and Lucas come up behind her. Bonnie gives Libby the contract for Lucas.
BONNIE: I might have bought him, but I get the feeling he's yours.
She leaves.
Lucas says he picked her for more than someone who'd break up by phone. She asks if he ever gives up, as Dan watches them He says no - he's a slow learner. He asks her what her plans are for him.
LIBBY: I'm sorry, but there's this other guy, and he needs me more.
LUCAS: Dan?
LIBBY: My son. You and Dan can play your games, just not with me.
He leans in and says he won't give up. Libby smiles as he leaves, then grimaces.
Number 32
Rachel has turned the radio on and is sitting in the kitchen. She looks about to nod off then something stirs her. She starts looking around in fear. She calls 'Who's there?' and the power goes out. Now she's scared.
Rachel panics, grabs a bat then hides next to the door as someone comes in. She hits them on the head then screams at Charlie and Ben to wake up. As she runs to the bedroom, we see who's knocked out cold on the floor - it's Ty.
