Recap
Alan Napier dying and Paul, Rebecca and Ollie discussing the funeral arrangements.
Riley finding out that the newspaper are trying to contact him over the cadetship.
Paul telling Rebecca about killing Gus and that it's over between them.
Rebecca's room at Lassiter's
Paul calls on Rebecca in the middle of the night wanting to talk to her. She doesn't want to answer the door but Paul isn't taking no for an answer and despite the door being locked, barges his way into the room. No, Paul hasn't gone back to his old ways, its just Rebecca having a bad dream. :
The door knocks again but this time its Declan checking on his mum but she assures him that she is fine and sends him back to his room.
Lassiter's lake (next day)
Strange place for a funeral it has to be said as Rebecca does the eulogy for her father with the compulsory tears we've grown to know her for. Elle goes over to hug her and to say she doesn't know why Paul isn't there to support her.
Just as we thought we'd seen the last of Tim following the conclusion of Mickey's custody battle, he turns up at the funeral like a bad smell to hand Ollie a writ from Sebastian/Will wanting his money!
Rebecchi/Cammeniti Law Firm
Ollie has gone round to check out the writ with Toadie and Diana and confirm that the writ is legitimate and that he does have a claim on the money especially now the truth is out about him being adopted. Ollie is fearful that the money and the company will go down the pans if Sebastian/Will gets his hands on it and he promised his parents that wouldn't happen so wants to fight it, which Diana and Toadie accept.
No. 30
Woohoo Rosie is back from Italy (and we'll ignore the logistics of it unless time has morphed again ) and it looks like she's missed Frazer just as much too, as they begin frantically pashing each other. Rosie begins to strip off and Frazer wants it to go elsewhere but she kills that idea in favour of going to work. The passion totally goes when Pepper arrives wanting to catch up until Frazer shoos her off to work and given the lack of passion in her life due to the sex ban, she isn't amused when they start pashing again!
ROSIE: Poor Pepper.
FRAZER: Poor Frazer. Come here!
He starts to kiss her again but Rosie pushes him away so they can discuss the compo money and thanks to Carmy, Rosie knows all about Frazer wanting to have kids and buy No. 30. They finally start to pash again even though Rosie wants to get to work.
School
Didge moans about her forthcoming detentions but doesn't get any sympathy from Rachel or Ringo as they head into class. Pepper follows them in, dishing out the results of their recent exam, moaning that they spent too much time revising MySpace instead of the necessary textbooks.
Declan comes in late due to being at the funeral and gets some ribbing from the other kids for being dressed in a suit and asks Pepper if he blitzed the test. She hands him the paper and he isn't exactly chuffed at getting an "F" (just like Ringo did).
PEPPER: Social health does not mean getting invited to heaps of parties!
Ringo replies that it does in some cultures but Pepper just informs him that the resits are Friday.
He sits down and the RSK's (Ramsay Street kids) check out who got what (the Kinski's and Didge got "A's") but Ringo lies that he got a "B" when in fact he failed it and Rachel remarks that if someone failed that 'easy' exam, how will they cope with the harder ones. Didge offers to help Declan with his revision although she promises that she won't go easy on him just because she almost killed him!
Charlie's/Ramsay Street
Rebecca apologises to Elle for quitting but she can see that Rebecca has made the right move. She asks after Paul, but Elle doesn't know how he is, and if the police have been back round...
...and just at that we cut to Ramsay Street where Adam wants a word with Paul about his confession.
Back to the bar and Elle remarks that the police are unsure whether to believe Paul or not but thinks the whole thing will just blow over. Rebecca asks if she thinks that is possible and Elle replies yes because Paul isn't a bad man.
And back in Ramsay Street Paul seems pleased that the police (well Adam) are taking his confession seriously (but not officially) and believe he isn't sick or a nutcase.
Rebecca is still insistent she isn't going back the same road she went down with Richard despite Elle's protestations although when Rebecca says "how can she be sure" Elle has a puzzled look on her face.
Meanwhile, Paul thanks Adam when he says that he will do some unofficial digging into his confession although he remarks that Paul won't be thanking him if he finds something.
Ramsay Street
During the commercial break, Elle has developed Ninja powers like Susan and transported herself back to Ramsay Street and wants to know what Adam was doing. Paul replies that he was round to talk about his confession. This seems to have taken the wind out of Elle's sails, compounded with what Rebecca said, and she seems a bit hesitant when telling him how Alan's funeral went.
Paul then stuns Elle when he announces that he is going to find Gus' family so he can tell them what happened to give them closure and wants her help to do so. Elle agrees to help him have his atonement on condition that he fools the police into thinking that he is nuts because she doesn't want him going to jail.
Rebecchi/Cammeniti Law Firm
Rosie is in 7th heaven when she introduces herself to Diana. She is put straight back to work though when Ollie comes in with a draft proposal to sell the company rather than let Sebastian/Will get his hands on it. Diana comes out of her office (Rosie's having to share with Toadie for the time being) to remind Ollie that he can't sell while it is being contested and shows him the formal response to S/W's writ and orders Rebecca to shred Ollie's one.
Rebecca and Ollie then start talking about the funeral and that she doesn't need his money. Meanwhile, the courier comes in to collect the file Diana has produced but by mistake, Rebecca has got the files mixed up on her desk and hands him the one that was supposed to be shredded. Oops!
Erinsborough News
Elle is surprised to see Riley sitting behind a desk until he explains that he now works there. She asks for his help on tracing Gus' family but he can't because he is still finding his feet however the journalist who wrote about it is now the editor so he points her in his direction when he comes out to bark at him. Elle introduces herself to Brad the editor as a student studying criminology who is struggling on some research to get him to help her.
School
Rachel runs into Ringo at the lockers but because she started him, some stuff fell out of his locker...including the paper with the "F" on it. She doesn't let on that she has seen it but Ringo looks like he has ants in his pants and rushes off on the pretence of having to get something from the library.
Erinsborough news
Elle's expands her story for being there - she is doing her thesis on the impact of victims of crime in particular unsolved murders and their impact on the surviving families... and asks how she can get in contact with Gus' family. Brad takes out his filofax of contacts but refuses to give her anything (on the pretence of keeping contacts secret) but really because he knows she isn't a student rather the heiress to Lassiter's. The silly man though turns his back on Elle when he takes a call and she subtly picks up his filofax that he took out off his desk and leaves.
Rebecchi/Cammeniti Law Firm
Tim pays the law firm a visit to thank them for the document they sent over... the one that Ollie drew up and not Diana's one. He reminds them that you can't sell something when ownership is contested. Diana says she gave the right ones to Rebecca earlier and just at that she breezes into the office with a coffee in her hand looking none the wiser.
TIM: (gloating) Good help really is hard to find isn't it?
Charlie's
Elle looks through Brad's filofax and eventually finds contact details for Gus' sister - Laura Davison who lives in East Warrahta - and copies it down into her notebook but quickly stops when Riley approaches her saying that Brad helped her today. He tries to get it out of her why she was into the office and eventually buys the 'I'm writing a book' when all her other lies fails to convince him. Before he leaves, he asks for Brad's filofax back adding that he won't press charges if Riley takes it back with him, so Elle is reluctantly forced to hand it over but she got what she wanted out of it.
Rebecchi/Cammeniti Law Firm
Ollie is not a happy chappie because all his assets have been frozen. While Rebecca keeps her head down, Toadie explains that Tim got the wrong file but eventually she fesses up when Ollie starts spouting off and hands over a written apology admitting blame as well as her resignation. Rosie assures her that isn't necessary but her mind is made up.
The General Store
Adam responds to Elle's summons to see her and she really turns on the charm to him for sticking his neck out doing his own digging, so much so that Adam can't get a word in edgewise.
School/outside
Didge and Declan walk along the corridor chatting aimlessly and he invites her out for a drive in his car. We then cut to outside and Declan showing off his car to her but while he goes on about its spec, Didge just likes the colour of it.
Just as they get into the car, Rachel and Zeke run up and remind Declan that he can't drive. He invites her into the car so she can give him a lesson but she refuses because she values her life! Rachel and Zeke depart and Didge gets out and joins them walking home because she doesn't want any more trouble.
Outside Laura's house
Elle and Paul sit in the company car and eventually Paul exits and knocks on the door. Laura answers the door and Paul asks her to confirm that she was Gus' sister but she wants to know what it is all about.
PAUL: I'm Paul Robinson. I...I killed your brother.
