Recap
- Frazer tells Boyd that Charlotte is a con artist.
- Mary telling Kerry that she is not going to lose her.
- Harold and Janelle go to the prison to tell Sky that Mary is mentally unstable.
The Prison
There is a siren going off, and the wardens are getting the inmates in, and the visitors out. Word is that there is a riot on D block, and Sky is distraught to realise that that is where Kerry is right now with Mary.
Inside the prison there is furniture being thrown about everywhere, as Mary is hugging Kerry and telling her that she is going to take her where nobody will find her.
Back outside the wardens are desperately trying to get visitors to leave, but Sky is very uptight, trying to get in to her baby, and Janelle and Harold are refusing to leave, until they know Kerry is OK, but eventually some of the guards forcefully from the premises. As Sky runs inside to the cell, Kerry is gone. Another inmate is threatening Mary, but she says that Kerry is gone. Sky is frantic, as Mary refuses to tell her where Kerry is.
The General Store
Rosie is affronted to hear that Toadie is charging clients $1 a page for photocopying, $1.50 if it's colour. It cost's them only 4 cents a page, Toadie thinks that this is an impressive mark up, but Rosie doesn't like it. She doesn't like the bad reputation that lawyers have, and doesn't see the funny side when Steph tries to lighten the mood with a lawyer joke. Rosie says that she has issues with the way the firm is run, but Toadie is making a joke of it. When Janae comes in, she refuses the invitation to join the others, and Steph says that she is concerned that she and Janae have barely spoken since she and Boyd split. Rosie wonders if she knows about his new girlfriend, and they agree that she would have to by now.
The Prison
Sky is still frantically trying to find Kerry. Mary tells her to come with her, and they can all be together, but Sky pushes her away in disgust, and heads towards the roof. When she gets there she looks over the edge, and is alarmed to see Kerry's buggy lying askew on the ground, Sky frantically screams for her baby, and runs down the stairs. When she gets to the buggy there is no sign of Kerry. Just as it looks as though Sky is about to have a break down, Mary appears with Kerry in her arms. Sky is delighted to see that her baby is OK, Mary tells her that she had her hidden in a safe place. Mary tells her that Krystal deliberately started the riot to grab Kerry, in an attempt to get back at Sky, Mary says that she heard them discussing it. Sky thanks Mary for saving her baby.
The General Store
Rosie is telling the others that she can't see what Boyd sees in 'that woman' but just as she is slating them, Boyd and Charlotte walk in, and it is obvious to them that they have been talked about. Boyd is going to say something to them, but Charlotte says that she is fine, it just feels weird since this is the first time she has been in The General Store since 'that guy' was killed. Boyd continues to talk, but as Charlotte catches a glimpse of someone using a sugar dispenser she has a flash back of the night that she killed Terrence, and says that she can't stay. She rushes out and Boyd goes over to the table where Steph and the others are sitting, and lets rip. He says that if they can't handle him being with Charlotte, then he will move out, something which Toadie and Steph both say that they don't want. Boyd however is not keen to back down, and goes on to make a speech aimed at Steph, saying that he is not the only one there who has stuffed up a marriage. He says that he wasn't happy about Steph and Toadie getting together, but he has learned to accept it, and he feels that they should do the same for him.
BOYD: Charlotte and me are really happy together, and we plan to be together for some time.
Just as Boyd delivers the final line of his speech, he turns around to see an upset Janae sitting at another table. I guess this is the first she has heard of his new girlfriend, and I don't think that is the way that Boyd had planned on her hearing about it.
The Surgery
Boyd gets to the surgery and sets about reassuring Charlotte on the earlier events. He tells her that once everyone gets to know the real her, they will be fine. Yes, I am sure that the residents of Erinsborough will be delighted to welcome a murdering fraudster in to their midst, but then Boyd seems to be blinded by lust as usual. Charlotte tells Boyd that he is really sweet. Boyd asks Charlotte if he can stay with her for a while, as he has threatened to move out of Steph's house. Charlotte doesn't think that it is such a good idea, as they have only been going out for five minutes, and they don't even know each other, but a naive Boyd believes that they know enough.
Oh Boyd when are you going to learn, believe me when I say that you really do not know Charlotte. But in typical Boyd fashion he thinks with his trousers and sets about charming Charlotte by declaring to her that he is crazy about her, he thought she felt the same way. Charlotte is not convincing when she says that of course she does, but Boyd just doesn't want to see that, and takes her at her word, and is delighted when Charlotte relents and says that he can stay with her. Boyd moves in for a kiss, but Charlotte is not keen and tells him that it is not the time, as they have a full list of patients to see.
Before Boyd leaves he reminds Charlotte that Karl will be dropping by later in his new role as a drug rep. Charlotte asks what kind of drugs he will be flogging, and when Boyd mentions them, Charlotte says that maybe she should get some herself, as she is feeling extremely tense at the moment, but a confused and perhaps ever so slightly suspicious Boyd says that actually they are for blood pressure not stress, but by now a pro at fooling Boyd, backtracks and says that it was a joke. Boyd seems to accept that, but when he leaves the room Charlotte is quick to do a google search on the drugs Karl will be selling her so that she can bluff her way out of the meeting.
The General Store
Karl and Susan have finished their lunch, but before they leave, they invite Toadie and Steph and Frazer and Rosie to dinner, in celebration of Steph's birthday. Steph doesn't seem to like her birthday being advertised as she is ever the modest type, but she agrees to the dinner on the condition that nobody buys her a present. Karl excuses himself, telling the others of his appointment with Doctor Stone, and the others are keen to get him on a spy mission, Karl says that he will be asking some questions, I assume in an attempt to trick her, and the others ask him to report back, it seems that we have some clever residents in Ramsay Street, as they have all been fairly quick in sussing Charlotte out.
Before she leaves Steph stops by Janae's table, to apologise for the way she found out about Boyd and Charlotte, but Janae puts on a brave face, saying that Boyd can do what he likes.
Over at the other table, Rosie is keen to get subject of wedding talk. When she asks Frazer what church he wants, he admits that he doesn't want to get married in a church because they are not religious, and he is a gambler which is a sin. Rosie protests that she is religious, but Frazer begs to differ. Rosie says that the church question is still on the table, and moves on to item two, she wants them both to make up with their families before the wedding, but Frazer says that is unlikely. Rosie says that it is important to her, but it obviously isn't to Frazer, who agrees to a church wedding if he doesn't have to have a church wedding. Rosie says she will give him twenty minutes thinking time and then she will meet him at the Scarlet bar.
As Rosie leaves, Ned arrives, and when he sees Janae eating something that her training schedule doesn't allow he scolds her and sends her to the garage for a work out.
Doctor Stone's office
Karl is going through his products with Charlotte. Karl tries to trick her with one of his questions, but Charlotte is on the ball and has obviously done her homework and passes his test. Karl hasn't caught her out this time. Charlotte shows Karl out telling him that she won't be buying any of his products. As Karl leaves, Boyd scathingly asks Karl if Charlotte has passed his little test, and Karl feigns surprise, telling Boyd that he has no idea what he means.
The Garage
As Janae finishes her work, she sets about for her training with Ned, but she doesn't seem to have her heart in it, and Ned guesses that she has Boyd on her mind. Janae at first denies it, but then tells Ned that she doesn't think that she is over him completely, but she doesn't know why she cares so much as Charlotte is welcome to Boyd. Before she can get anymore in to the conversation with Ned, Janae changes the subject and starts her training, it seems that Boyd is not something that she wants to talk about.
The Scarlet Bar
Steph looks like she is having fun playing a racing video game in the bar, and is delighted when she gets the top score.
Rosie and Frazer have met up again to talk more about the wedding. Frazer says that he will get married in a church, but he is not going to convert to Catholicism, and he doesn't want to eat those little wafers, and quite frankly I can't blame him because they are horrible. He tells Rosie that however, he can't do the family thing, as they are nutters, and he also raises the point that he won't be able to invite his parents without bringing Johnny along too. Rosie doesn't seem to mind the fact that Johnny might come to the wedding, but Frazer says there is a limit, they cannot invite her ex-fiancée to the wedding. Rosie laughs, she says that one mention of his family makes him morph in to a sulky six year old. Frazer doesn't deny this, but he tells Rosie that she is the same with her family, she says that she has recognised that it is time to make changes, she is going to call both her parents before the wedding and work things out. She wants Frazer to at least try to do the same.
A Parking Lot
Frazer and Rosie are still thrashing out the issue of inviting his family to the wedding. Rosie tries to blackmail Frazer into inviting his parents to the wedding for the sake of Ringo, but Frazer doesn't think this is a valid reason, as Ringo hates their parents as much as he does. Rosie says that she doesn't want to spend the rest of their lives regretting their stubbornness, and their families will be coming to the wedding and the discussion is closed. Frazer doesn't seem to be pleased with that, but when he sees Janae and Ned training he takes the chance for a change of subject. He notices a car in the garage forecourt and asks to buy it. Janae, initially agrees, but then says that she isn't ready to sell it.
When they get in to the garage, Ned goads her about not being over Boyd, they are clearly flirting with each other, Janae feigns disgust at Ned, by telling him how annoying he is, but the cheeky smile on his face says that he thinks that he is going to win this girl round eventually.
Number 28
Karl is showing Frazer and Rosie his new exercise equipment, they seem to be mildly impressed, as Karl tells him that you don't get a body like his by accident.
Toadie, Steph and Charlie arrive to add to the festivities. Susan summons Karl to get them all drinks.
SUSAN: Hey Mr Universe, can you tear yourself away from that to get us all drinks.
Toadie asks if Susan is OK, as she seems to have a sore back. Susan claims that she hurt it earlier gardening, but a knowing Karl tells the others that she actually hurt it lifting his weights, Susan denies the claim that she is unfit, but Karl hammers home the point.
When Rosie asks how the game at the bar is going, and Steph says that it's good, but Toadie points out that a mystery player has beaten her top score again. Rosie muses that it is just a game, but Toadie thinks that nothing is a game when you have a killer instinct like Steph, it all seems rather suspicious, could Rosie be that mystery player with a penchant for racing games.
Anyway, Karl answers the door to an addition guest, Doctor Stanford Mundy, a good friend of his, but Doctor Mundy isn't staying he just popped by to drop of some paperwork. Eagle eye viewers will have noticed that Doctor Stanford Mundy was the name on the medical certificate that Charlotte removed on her first appearance, and it seems that noticing this may pay off, as when Karl happens to mention that the glass figure he saw in Charlotte's office is similar to one that Doctor Mundy himself has. Doctor Mundy tells Karl that he used to have a glass figure, but it was stolen a couple of months ago along with all his medical certificates. Karl's suspicions grow when he says that he saw a glass ornament today exactly the same, but Doctor Mundy thinks this would be impossibe, as he bought the said ornament overseas. Doctor Mundy leaves, and Karl wastes no time telling the others that he is positive that the ornament is sitting on Charlotte's desk, and her medical certificates were from the same institution as Doctor Mundy got his from. The others seem equally suspicious of Charlotte following this new revelation. It seems that the fake doctor may finally have been sprung.
The Prison
Mary is apologising to Sky for scaring her earlier, she says that she didn't mean to, she was protecting Kerry, something which Sky is keen to accept. Mary goes on to tell Sky that she lied about the reason she is in prison, she admits to Sky that eight years ago something happened in which she got hold of the wrong end of the stick. She says that all she could think about was revenge, until she snapped and had a breakdown. She gets emotional, as she goes on to admit to Sky that she did some really awful things to a lovely person, she couldn't see it then, but she does now, and she knows that she needs help. She tells Sky that she is not really a cruel person, Sky agrees, she tells Mary that she is a loyal and very loving friend. Showing her trust in Mary she lets her cuddle Kerry, and the three share a hug. Sky breaks down and cries, but Mary is there to reassure her. As Sky reflects on her own reasons for being in the prison she has a flashback, and has a revelation when she realises that she only hit Terrence once. It means that Sky is realising that perhaps she is not guilty of murder after all.
Later on Sky has calmed down a bit, and as Harold and Janelle arrive at Sky's request, she tells them that she wants them to take Kerry home. She says that Kerry is not staying there, and neither is she. Sky shares her revelation with Harold and Janelle, telling them that she definitely only hit Terrence one. She realises that there must have been someone else there who delivered the fatal blow to Terrence, and Sky says that she is going to fight to prove it. Harold and Janelle are delighted at the news. Sky tells them to take Kerry and call Toadie as she is getting out of there. Harold, Janelle and Sky all look a lot happier than they have been for a while.
The Surgery
Charlotte is bemoaning her tough day, but then I guess when you are pretending to be a highly qualified medical professional, life is never going to be easy. Charlotte is keen to get out of there, but Boyd wants to stay for a second, he is looking for Paul Robinson's current patient notes, he asks if Charlotte has seen them, and of course she says that she hasn't. Boyd says that his specialist wants them couriered over to the hospital, but he can't find them. Boyd goes to the computer to find his notes on the computer, but he can't find them. Charlotte tries to distract him, but trying to find the notes herself. She asks Boyd what the specialist said, and Boyd mournfully tells her that Paul has an acoustic neuroma. An ignorant Charlotte says that it is good news, as she thought it might be something really serious, like a brain tumour even. Boyd is getting suspicious now, as he tells Charlotte that an acoustic neuroma is a brain tumour. He demands to know what is going on.
