Boyd admits to Janae that he's been acting differently ever since he got back from Tassie, but says it wasn't deliberate. Going to Tassie was his last hope of finding Max and in the end he didn't so he needed to spend some time on his own to deal with that fact. Janae reminds him that now he has a wife though and she wouldn't mind it at all if Boyd took some time to show her just how much he's missed her...
As Janae starts unbuttoning Boyd's shirt it's time for a Flashback™ and we see another pair of hands unbuttoning Boyd's shirt at what is obviously a different time. Then it goes back and forth between Janae slowly unbuttoning Boyd's shirt in real time and CuteGirlInTassie™ is unbuttoning his shirt at another time, she's kissing him too...and well, yeah, that's where it all ends.
Boyd pulls away from Janae and says he can't do it. She wants to know what's going on and why he's pushing her away. Boyd says he doesn't really know why, he's just freaked out about it all. Janae begs him to tell her what's bothering him, but he turns her down again.
Random room with big windows- Where Kerry is the topic of conversation
Stingray's at another AA meeting telling the rest of the group how he's now been sober for 6 days and about the problems he's had with staying off the booze. Now he's got someone in his life that makes him want to change though and he takes out a picture of Kerry and sends it around the circle of AA members. Clearly this is just so they can all go 'Aww' at the cuteness that is baby Kerry in her little hat and blanket. Stinger says that every time he's been tempted to have a drink he just looks at the picture of Kerry and that helps him not to drink since the thought of letting her down 'just kills him'.

Cut to RealLifeKerry™ who's looking very cute in her white and pink clothes as Harry finishes with the diaper changing. Harold and Loris discuss disposable diapers vs. reusable ones and decide to finish off the conversation with a kiss over Kerry's little head, just as Sky returns from her shower.
SKY: Excuse me, if I wanted that sort of behaviour form babysitters I would have hired teenagers.
Stingray shows up to check that Sky got home alright and they all marvel at the cuteness of Kerry. Stinger wants to hold Kerry, saying that he's been sober for a week by now so it should be OK and Harry reluctantly lets him have hold the baby after Sky gives her approval.

Lyn's walking down the stairs when she overhears Paul and Elle talking about her so decides to stay out of sight and eavesdrop for a while before making herself known.
ELLE: If you truly feel that's the way to go then just tell her.
PAUL: Oh come on, it's not that easy.
ELLE: Well, dragging it out isn't helping anyone.
PAUL: So you really don't have a problem with it?
ELLE: My main worry is the business. I mean, you don't even know if Lyn will want to stay working at Lassiters.
PAUL: See, that's the thing- I've got *no* idea how she's going to react.
ELLE: There's only one way to solve that- just take her aside and...
Lyn decides this is the time to let them know that she's there so clears her throat and walks into the kitchen only to find Paul and Elle putting on their best attempts of innocent faces.
LYN: So, what's going on?
PAUL: (gesturing to the bread and butter on the counter next to him) Lunch.
LYN: (getting worried) What's really going on?
ELLE: Well, Dad's just got a problem at work.
LYN: What sort of problem?
(At the same time) PAUL: Invoicing desc...
ELLE: Staffing levels.
Uh-oh. I think they're busted now.
Lyn wants to know if there's anything she should know about, but Paul and Elle says there isn't. As Lyn turns her back at them for a second father and daughter mouth something to each other along the lines of 'What are you doing, now she'll realise we're lying to her!' and they stop as soon as they realise Lyn can see them. They start preparing lunch as Lyn watches in silence.

Thanks to a nice zoom-in of the kitchen table we can see how Karl's prepared a really nice lunch to welcome Susan home- there's bread, there's salad, there's apple juice (I think), there's plates, glasses, serviettes, placemats, even flowers in a vase... And for some reason no cutlery. Hmm, I guess that means Karl's prepared finger food then. He's going for a memorable lunch then, I take it.
A nicely tanned Susan appears at the door carrying all of her bags and she has to yell to make herself heard since Karl's got souly music (which apparently is Susan's music) playing very loudly. Suse turns the music off and goes for a kiss and a hug before telling Karl how Anne looks just...yeah, how all expectant mothers look, radiant.
KARL: Well, I suppose Billy's not over the moon at all.
SUSE: Oh, he thinks he invented fatherhood.
Suse works out that something's going on, why else would Karl be making a nice lunch for her, play her music etc. What has he done now? Well, first of all he's gone to the kitchen to get some cutlery. Good, that makes me feel better, since I was getting worried about the type of food he'd cooked there. Now I'm wondering where the food is though since there are no pots or other physical evidence whatsoever of cooking taking place in the kitchen, but Susan doesn't seem too worried. Instead she's picking up on Karl using the word wife to describe her as he tries to explain about arranging the lunch.
SUSE: First of all, I'm not your wife. And second of all, I know you too well.
KARL: Oh, you're a hard woman.
Suse asks him to tell her what's going on and he explains the issue of Kerry's true paternity being looked into. Cue Susan's 'Oh no' face.
Scarlet Bar
Harry and Loris are having lunch and they're talking about Stingray holding Kerry earlier. Harold's convinced he saw a tremble in Stinger's hand which is a sign of either him drinking or withdrawals, but Loris says to give her grandchild a break. Six days off alcohol does not make Stinger a good father though, Harry reckons, but Loris points out that Dylan's recent behaviour isn't exactly that of a good father's either. Maybe little Kerry could be the one to help Stinger stay off the booze though, but Kerry shouldn't have to pay the price again if he falls off the wagon.
Janae and Janelle enter the bar and they're talking about Kerry and the paternity too, reaching the conclusion that whoever the father is it's not looking good for their family. Then Janelle comes up with an idea- what if Kerry's someone else's kid entirely, hey, that would solve the problem! Janae's not laughing at the joke though, instead she's feeling down about her and Boyd.
Boyd's watching them from afar and he's having more flashbacks when he sees the bartender pour some champagne into a glass. CuteGirlInTassie™ is also pouring champagne into a glass and she's telling Boyd how it's been the most incredible day of her life and she wishes it could last forever. Cut back to Boyd who looks bothered by these flashbacks and decides that leaving the bar is the way to go to avoid them.
No 28- Where Karl has finally found his food and Susan forgets Karl's the only doctor that matters
Suse points out to Karl that there's still a chance that Kerry could be Stingray's, but Karl says that every time he sees Kerry he thinks she's Dylan's more and more. Kerry was small, yes, but not premature. As they sit down at the table Karl has a plate with real food in his hand and it looks like it's just a bunch of different finger foods. Hmm, what a great lunch. Anyways, Suse wants to know why the paternity is Karl's problem anyway and Karl says it's because Sky was his patient. But what about the radiologist then, Suse asks. And what about Dr. Olenski, she checked the tests too, wouldn't she have detected any problems? Karl knows his medical opinion is the only one people care about though, he's insisting that it's his fault. Plus, now he's got Janelle after him too and the Timminses need a scapegoat so he's the one.
No 26- Where Kerry's still the topic on everyone's lips
Stinger is trying to talk to Dylan about the paternity thing and how they can't be sure of what the results will be until the tests come back, and besides they should try to make up. Dylan's sure though, Kerry's his daughter and after those test results come back he's not going to let his brother anywhere near himself or Kerry so if the others can't handle that then tough, because that's how it's going to be. Loris refuses to see her family torn apart like this though and tries to convince Dylan that Stingray's different now to when he took Kerry from the hospital. Dylan brings up the issue of Sky and Stingray sleeping together and how that was wrong and Loris tells him to let it go since what happened was a mistake. She reckons that neither of her grandsons have the qualities of a good father since Dylan deliberately kept Kerry away from her mother for days. A real parent always puts the need of the child first no matter what. Loris says she's determined to reunite the family again since that's what Kerry deserves.
Scarlet Bar- Where my ship is sinking even lower
Lyn is sat at a table looking very sad when Susan finds her there. They hug and Susan starts talking about Kerry's paternity and Karl and her getting on her moral high horse with Sky and...well, Lyn doesn't really care. She admits to Susan that it's Paul that's worrying her since he's been so weird ever since coming back from New York, but she thinks she knows what's going on. We don't find out now though since Lyn's mobile goes off and it's Flick so Lyn excuses herself to talk to her daughter in peace.
At another table we find Harry and Sky who gets a quick visit from Dylan who's bought baby clothes that look like a bunny. Before you know it though Dyl's gone again and Sky realises that they'll have problems on their hands if the tests show that Dylan's not Kerry's father.
Cut back to Lyn and Susan again where Lyn has now solved the mystery of Paul's weird behaviour- Flick has informed her that Paul was seeing someone else while he was in New York, and she was young and pretty too. Susan tries to suggest that there is a good explanation for all of it though, but Lyn tells her not to go there.
LYN: I'll tell you one thing though. I'm going to dump him before I let that snake dump me.
No 22
Paul's reached the conclusion that Lyn's worked out what he's been trying to tell her and she's now staying away from him not to have to hear it. Elle tells him to just get on with it and stop chickening out all the time so he decides to get it over with. There's a knock on the door and it's Dylan who's come over to show off the bunny baby clothes again. He informs them that there's a delivery man in the driveway which intrigues Paul to the point where he goes to see what that's all about.
When Elle questions Dylan spending money on baby clothes before the test results are back he gets annoyed and wants to know if she's not happy about having a boyfriend who's a Dad. She says she's not but doesn't have time to explain further because Paul returns from outside with a box full of champagne. It's Paul's favourite drop and Elle's got it all for him too, how lovely! Except she says she didn't order them despite the delivery slip for $4000 of champagne having her name on it.
Ramsay St
Boyd's picking up his mail when Janae passes him on her way over to Toadie's to go for a swim. He says he'll be over later and is then found by Elle who wants to know why there's a box of champagne at her house in her name without her ordering it herself. Boyd reminds Elle of the time when a box of wine that he didn't order showed up at the Scarlet Bar and how Max thought he was going out of his mind then. Maybe Elle's going crazy too? Elle says she's tougher than that and informs Boyd that her credit cards have been cancelled now anyway.
No 30's pool area
The only part of Janae that's visible when Boyd comes to the pool is her back and if I didn't know better then I'd say she was drowning. She soon comes up to the surface to get some air though and this makes Boyd's flashbacks return.
CuteGirlInTassie™ is in the water and nearly drowning and Boyd's reading his map on a road right next to the river where CuteGirl is drowning. Boyd hears her screams and in true RamboLyn™ fashion he runs down the riverbank and throws himself into the river and swims out rescue her... Cut back to Janae who's now getting out of the pool after testing how long she could hold her breath for and Boyd's not happy. Neither is Janae so enough's enough, it's about time we found out what really happened in Tassie.
No 32
Boyd explains how he had come to realise how pointless the search for Max was and how he got stuck in this back road since he got lost. He pulled over to check the map next to a river and then he heard a girl screaming and she was being swept down the river. He got in the river and managed to get the girl's foot free after it got stuck under water. After they got back up on land it turns out the girl was fine except for a few minor injuries.
Janae's impressed that Boyd saved someone's life and wonders why he didn't tell her this before. There's more to the story though, the girl, Glenn, and Boyd spent some time together talking and... Janae wants to know if they kissed but Boyd doesn't answer. The look of guilt on his face and the following 'babe, I'm so sorry' says it all though. Oh, and here come the excuses despite Boyd himself saying there are no valid excuses. He was such a mess and so scared since he thought Max was dead... Plus, he loves her.
Janae realises that this is why Boyd was so understanding of Steph kissing Toadie- he'd done the same thing himself. She then goes into denial mode and rambles on about how she knows that Boyd really loves her and he was just going through a rough patch and he didn't mean for it to happen and she can understand and... Whatever you need to tell yourself to keep it together, sweetie.
No 26
The Timminses are getting ready to go to the hospital and they find a sad-looking Janae on the doorstep as they're on their way out. She says she's not coming and they'll be fine without her anyway, but then she starts crying and Janelle realises her daughter needs to have a cry before they can go. They sit down on the sofa and Janelle goes on about how good Boyd is and how you can always count on him and Janae just cries and cries...
"Just keep swimming, swimming..."
Karl's office
The Timminses, Mangels and Harold are all gathered in Karl's office as he comes in with the test results in hand. He informs them that he's even made duplicates of them to make sure that they're correct. There's a long silence as Karl opens the envelope and looks at the letter to find out who Kerry's father is...
