Number 22 - Night
Izzy's looking for her shoe and guess what, she finds it behind CamRob! Now she needs her keys, calling up the stairs to Elle asking if her handbag is up there. CamRob calls out in a pathetic attempt to sound in pain. It's a back cramp. He asks if she could massage it, Izzy telling him he now owes her for a foot massage. She starts massaging him saying this is what he gets for playing those computer games hunched over. He asks her to move over to the left as Elle strides in with Izzy's handbag. Izzy grabs the bag and her keys, Elle asking Iz where's she's going. It's out to dinner with her dad so she shouldn't wait up.
After Izzy leaves Elle asks CamRob what was that, him replying that it was nothing. Elle immediately assumes that she was hitting on him again. CamRob goes along with it, saying he can handle it but it is getting a bit full on. He doesn't want her to tell their dad... which she won't because Izzy would deny it and he would believe her. Unless he had undeniable proof. He doesn't want to hurt their dad but Elle thinks they would be doing him a favour. CamRob doesn't think Izzy would let herself get caught so they should just leave it. Elle tells him that she may not let herself be caught, but Izzy can be trapped. CamRob contemplates this.
Scarlet Bar
Some random bartender is about to take Rachel's order when Max tells him to shonk off unless he wants to lose his job. She says that she was just admiring the menu. Pfft. Max says that she shouldn't even be there without an adult. She gets all sarcastic saying she is now, and he agrees; he's accompanying her home. She tells him she can walk but lucky for her he has a car - so he wins. Rachel thinks that for an adult he doesn't act his age and besides age is irrelevant. Max tells her to tell that to the licensing board. Ah Paul arrives just in time to rub in the fact Boyd's getting married with the fact that Lassiters do nice weddings, and can cut him a deal. Max thanks him for his kindness very sarcastically.
Dylan's taking money from his 'dudes' over at a nearby table, which is very secure place to do your dealings. They leave as Paul comes over wanting a word. Those people aren't the type of people Dylan wants to be associated with are they? Dylan starts his big guy act, saying maybe he's the one calling the shots. Paul thinks he's kidding himself, but Dylan reminds him that he gave that up around the time he got sacked. Paul admits he did make a mistake and wants to put it all behind them. He offers Dylan a job starting immediately. Dylan acts shocked, then says it's a shame his bootlicking days are over.
Number 24
Whahey it's Skray! Sky and Stingray walk out of her room trying to justify what they did while Harold listens on. Sky says it was a mutual thing so they shouldn't beat themselves up about it. It's just that crazy quantum physics! Stingray will give her a call, but Sky doesn't think there is a need they will see each other in the street like usual. Stingray leaves, Sky finally collapses against the door and looks over to see Harold standing there.
Number 26
Dylan on the phone cheesed off at the fact he's missing some cash and his dude is taking petrol money. As long as he has a receipt (which the dude has). Stingray enters all mopey and Dylan thinks it's because of his dodgy business, but Stingray doesn't care. Dylan asks if this is payback for the stuff he said about ickle miss saddle club. Dylan tells him that he was just yanking his chain, and in case he missed it that was just an apology. Stingray says he did miss it so Dylan grabs him in a headlock asking if he wants to play cards because he's hardly seen his bro. Stingray doesn't want to but Dylan throws him to the sofa saying he can even cheat.
Number 24
Sky's on a stool in the kitchen, Harold standing nearby ready to give a lecture. He says it's one thing to ruin her own life but to pull poor old innocent Stingray into it? Chger! Sky asks him if he would've rather her picked up some stranger from a nightclub.
SKY: You don't understand. I needed someone to make me feel better, to make me feel like myself again.
HAROLD: So you just used him?!
SKY: .............. yep.
HAROLD: Oh dear. Oh dear if your father was here.
SKY: Well he's not here! Are you finished because I'm over this. (goes to leave the room)
HAROLD (grabbing Sky): No I am not finished. I'm not finished by a long shot. Not until you've seen some sense.
SKY: Get off me!
HAROLD: No you listen to me. You need to sort yourself out. Either you go back to uni or you get a job, a proper job. Or you can pack your bags and get out.
Ooo.
Number 28
Rachel gets in first by saying there is no need for Katya to give her a lecture she can slap her wrists. Katya can't believe it, underage drinking is she nuts? Rachel tells her she had no intention to drink, she was just experimenting. To prove that she looks 18, and obviously she does. Yeah Katya looks like 110 after a week on nightshift it doesn't mean she is, it's not about how you look. Rachel knows it's about the way you act but anyway she does act mature for her age. Katya thinks that oh yeah sneaking around to bars is soooo mature. She knows it's hard but if Rachel wants a boyfriend why doesn't she find someone her own age. Rachel informs her that boys her own age treat their girlfriends like dirt and the other half just want to score. Stingray would never pressure her into something she didn't want to do. Katya says she doesn't know that, most of the men she's met have had no self control.
RACHEL: That's because you have a bad habit of attracting creeps.
Ouch. She apologises but Katya tells her it's okay, she does have issues with men. Rachel thinks she's got it right this time with Cam. Anyway it's nothing worth fighting over, Stingray isn't interested. He doesn't even want to be her friend anymore.
Number 26
Dylan has a full house, Stingray has nothing. He doesn't even want to play but Dylan suggests they play something he's good at, various easy card games, while rough housing. Stingray gets mad, asking why he has to be such a jerk. And that he sometimes deserves all he gets. Dylan asks what this about, he's been sending off vibes since he walked through the door. Is he in some kind of strife? Stingray ponders this, then says it depends. Dylan asks him to cough it up but Stingray's saved by the knock on the door. It's Rachel so Dylan leaves them to it. She's come over to give him a note, it could be the solution to all their problems. Stingray thinks that's great but he's already solved their problems, he's seeing someone else.*squeals* Someone more his age and his style. Rachel looks devastated. Stingray says that at least she knows the truth, he's a hufta. Rachel walks away leaving a heartbroken Stingray. Awwness you have Sky!
Scarlet Bar
Paul has ordered a bottle of champagne and Max is wondering what the celebration is. Health and prosperity. Max says yeah lucky for some. Paul tells him that the baby belt is still a goer he's just got to be patient. Max hopes the next investor doesn't skip town like the last one did, asking what happened to him. Paul guesses he's living it up in Majorca one step ahead of the taxman. Max says oh well at least they still own the patent. Actually technically speaking it's... Paul's. Oh the look of disappointment on Max's face!
Over at the table Katya is complimenting Izzy's shoes. Paul arrives with the champers wondering when they showed up. Katya says they weren't planning on staying but CamRob interrupts saying they'll stick around for a drink seeing as he's got the good stuff. Paul's about to get more glasses when Elle runs up saying her taxi is waiting. She's wondering if that new credit card her dad promised to get her had arrived. Paul holds it up saying it arrived that morning. She takes it much to Izzy's disgust. Paul reminds Elle that the credit card does have it's limits so he's keeping an eye on the bills. Izzy asks him if it would be better if he taught her to be self sufficient. Elle whirls around on the attack.
ELLE: This again?
IZZY: You can't go through life being cushioned and indulged.
ELLE: Oh I love it, this coming from you?
IZZY: You need to know what you are capable of.
ELLE: Yeah well we all know what you're capable of.
IZZY: Pfft.
Elle kisses her dad goodbye and is about to walk out when CamRob catches up with her asking what she's doing. It's Izzy making Elle sick again. He tells her comments like that will make Izzy think they are up to something. Elle asks are they up to something? Doesn't he want her exposed? Cam should get the evidence so they can dance on her grave.
Number 24
Elle marches in telling Sky to get changed and put some lippy on their going out for the night. Sky wants to give it a miss, she'd rather stay home and read the paper. Elle grabs the paper seeing that Sky is looking at becoming a telemarketer, hoping she's joking. Sky thinks it's an honest day's work. She can't even think a day ahead at the moment and it's better than nothing. She's on a leave of absence with uni, she doesn't know if she's going back yet and she can't just sit there and do nothing so it could be fun. Elle agrees it would be if they both do it. Sky asks why she needs to with good old daddy giving out credit cards. Elle explains about Izzy and how she'd look as good as gold if she got a job.
Number 28
CamRob's brought Katya home. She thinks the champers has gone straight to her head even if she's only had half a glass. She says he probably didn't bet he'd have such a cheap date. Hmm. He tells her she needs a good night sleep and kisses her goodnight. Oh but she wants him to stay. Katya can feel his heart beating, maybe it's Morse code. Actually he wants to leave before they get sprung. Luckily for him no one is home and Katya is mighty keen. She says it's okay because she's scared too, scared because it's right. She never thought she would feel this way about anyone again. She asks if he feels the same way. He does so she wants him to stay with her, giving him a good pashing.
Number 26
Stingray is reading Rachel's note to him. Well it's her voice but... you get what I mean!
Dear Stingray,
Firstly I want to apologise for putting you under pressure. I want to thank you too for being a gentleman. For holding back like you did. Most guys would've taken advantage. That's why I like you so much. You're honest, respectful and great fun to be with.
(cut to Rachel crying in the General Store)
It's your friendship I value the most. And if friendship is all we can have between us, then I'm happy to settle for that. Just so long as you're part of my life.
(back to Stingray)
Love, Rachel
He screws up the note and starts crying. Dylan comes in asking if he's alright. Stingray tells him that his life has turned into c.rap (We have a filter for that don't we?).
General Store
Harold's preaching to Sky about what she's throwing away. She thought he said get a job but he was only trying to make her see sense. She says it does make sense, she can't go back to the person she was and she doesn't like the person she's been lately either. So it's time she moved on with her life. Harold thought her artwork was what was important to her. She's sorry to disappoint him.
Number 26
Dylan tells Stingray to get used to it, life is one big disappointment. That's why he should take what he gets and not expect too much. Stingray says that might work for him... Dylan thinks well he isn't the one covered in snot (eww) over some chick. Stingray would rather be covered in snot than be like Dylan.
General Store
Harold's tending to the till while Sky asks Rachel if she's spoken to Stingray. Rachel informs her that they aren't really hanging out anymore, he's kind of seeing someone else. Sky asks if she needs a lift home because they are locking up soon. Rachel thinks she's okay. Sky doesn't think she looks it.
RACHEL: I thought I looked alright, you know for a girl who's just had her heart stomped all over. I guess that's just what you get for trusting someone.
Call Centre - Day
Elle and Sky are looking over the Tupperware they have to sell. Elle comments that her mum had these in her cupboard and never used them. Sky tells her they're meant to be looking at the products. Elle asks what this weird drainy looking type of spoon is and we get the next number in our secret numbers leading up to episode 5000 hunt - item #994 Boiled egg remover. Handy for removing boiled eggs from the saucepan so you don't burn your fingers. Elle asks if they have not heard of a spoon and if Sky has checked out the script. Sky tells her it's not a joke, she really needs this job it's all she's got. And if it makes people around the world doing similar things happy then she's in. Elle thinks that's the saddest thing she's ever heard. She bets ten bucks she'll make the first sale. Sky wants to make it twenty, and shakes on it.
Scarlet Bar
Dlan shakes hands with some dudes after doing business with them. Max sidles up saying that doesn't look dodgy at all. Dylan tells him it would just a mate coming good on a loan, walking over to Stingray and plonking some food in front of him to try and cheer him up.
Up the back Elle asks Sky if she finds it just a little bit creepy that they make a big deal over a sale. She thinks its okay, it's them at least getting a commission. Paul sneaks up asking if they actually get a lunchbreak. Dylan runs away and I think Sky follows him because she's disappeared in this scene. Paul's brought Elle over to Izzy's table saying that she wants to talk about her job. Elle's been tied to a headset for the past four hours and she isn't finding it that bad. She's been talking to a whole bunch of interesting people, Izzy making a dig at her about them slamming the phone down. Elle says that she hasn't had that, all her clients have been great. She hasn't made any sales yet, she's only still perfecting her pitch. She thanks Izzy for getting her off her butt, she's really enjoying the job. Paul asks her to stay for lunch but she can't, there is a bag in the Lassiters gift shop she just has to have. Paul's proud as punch, telling Izzy that Elle will probably spend that pay packet before she's earned it.
Ooo Skray in the office. Sky apologises to Stingray but he doesn't want her to go there, they are both old enough to drink, vote and... do what they did. She sits next to him saying they made a mistake and she's guilty as hell but the weird thing is she's really glad it happened. It made her take a good look at herself, same with Stingray. He wants to just forget it, it's not like he's taking out an ad. No one else has to know. She asks if they will still be friends and yay they will, Stingray thinks nothing has to change. She leans on his shoulder. Aww no, get together!
Call Centre
Sky and Elle are trying to sell their product. Elle is going really badly, saying she has no idea if the Tupperware is microwavable so just try it and getting ridiculed. Sky on the other hand is making small talk with the customer and going really well. Elle turns to face Sky saying she can't believe he hung up on her. Sky proudly announces that she made her first sale, and rings the little bell to inform the others. Elle tells her to be careful, she'll end up like one of them.
Number 28
Whahey! CamRob looking for his stuff in the lounge room and Katya standing at the hallway in her pyjamas asking if he's looking for his shoes. She asks if he wasn't really planning on leaving without saying goodbye. He wasn't, he just didn't want to disturb her. It's too late though according to her she's already very disturbed, it's disturbing to be in love. Katya asks if it's too much, then if he's disappointed. CamRob isn't he's never felt this close to someone. She wishes she could spend the whole day with him but she has to get ready for work. They start kissing when Rachel walks in, she's forgotten her lunch. CamRob makes a quick exit, Rachel noticing that he wore the same outfit yesterday. Katya makes up some lame excuse about it probably being his favourite. Rachel's glad that Katya's found someone that's made her so happy. Yep she's so happy she could just burst.
St. Luke's Hospice
Robert is erm getting Cameron's fingerprints all over some tools. He talks to his bro, saying he hates his feelings because love equals loss of control and he needs to stay in control. He doesn't need any distractions but Katya makes him feel like all these other things aren't important anymore, and Cameron thinks it's funny that someone loves Rob (I don't see him laughing!). Well he tells coma boy that it gets funnier, she says she loves him for who he is too. But is that Cameron or Robert or some freaky combination? Robert thinks that maybe she's having a good old laugh behind is back too.
