Airport Hangar
A mysterious figure, dressed in a workman's uniform, attaches what looks like a bomb to the plane's engine. There's a small heart-shaped cutout photograph of Paul and Izzy beside it. The bomb is set to go off in seven hours.

Later on that day...
Izzy, Elle and Paul are getting things prepared for the flight. Paul's taking business calls and Izzy tells him to relax. He smiles and says he'll have plenty of time for both his girls, he promises. Elle and Izzy serve him a faux-cheery hug and cheesy grins. They're like BFF. As soon as his back is turned though they drop the façade. Elle breezily says she can't wait to hang out with her "cool step mum".
Bishops'
Harry is tootling away on the tuba when David comes home with a surprise. He knows his dad won't take any money for the plane tickets so he got him private tuba master class sessions with Trevor Foley, who plays with the Eden Hills community orchestra. He's da man in the local orchestra circle, and Harold is more than chuffed that David got Trevor to agree to lessons, Trev usually keeps to himself.
Scummins'
Stingray's nerves are more rattled than a Salvo tin - he's sitting on the couch looking like he may faint, throw up and cry, all in one go.
Sky's talking excitedly with Dylan in the kitchen about the Lassiter's flight until he puts a halt to her happiness - he claims that he can't go because he has to study for exams. Sky can see through this though and asks the real reason. He replies that he had a disagreement with Paul but is saved from elaborating further when Sky's mobile starts to ring. She says she'll see him when she gets back and passes a sick looking Stinger on the way out.
Stingray freaks out about the call but Dylan reminds him it was Sky's phone. Stinger can't see why Dylan's so calm, he thinks the cops will be there any minute, but Dyl says he wiped his prints off the gun like a good 'lil crim.
Police Station - Steiger's Office
Stu stops and has a chat with Steiger; they got an anonymous tip off from someone about the whereabouts of the gun from the service station robbery, and lo and behold, the gun was found in Chamber's Park, West Warratah. Steiger tells him to send it to forensics to check for prints while they have another look at the security footage. Ooh, I feel very CSI and SVU at the moment.
Bishops'
Lil is picking on David for packing too many shirts, last count, 100. "You know I heard they have shops in Tasmania," Lil country yokels. Sky finds out her aunt and uncle are coming now. "What about the Paul factor?" But Lil and Dave are all, "Who?" They believe that him being there is no reason to knock back a nice night in a hotel. Sky lets them know that Dylan's not coming and Harry adds that Lou isn't either, his back wouldn't hold out on the flight. So, the spare ticket is being given to Serena - she's not really in the mood but Sky won't hear of it.
Lil follows Serena into the lounge room (Sky's on a mission elsewhere - looking for an outfit for Sez I think), for a chat while Harry tells David he's so pleased that he and Lil are back on track.
The Bishop gals are having a cuddle on the couch; Serena tells Lil she wants to trust Connor but she can't be sure he won't hurt her again. "You know it is possible to do the wrong thing for the right reasons out of love for your child," Lil advises. She tells her daughter to listen to her heart.
Number 30
Connor takes a leaf out of Stingray's book and fidgets nervously on the couch until Toadie arrives home. He wants to have a serious chat with Toad but Toad is in a rush to suit up for the plane, they can have a natter up in the air he reasons.
CONNOR: I took the money from the shop.
Now that got his attention.
Number 28
Alex has brought Susan a lovely 40s style costume to wear on the plane ride that night, which Susan doesn't look too keen about. Alex thinks it's because Karl gave them the tickets and she doesn't like taking gifts from him, but that couldn't be further from the case.
SUSAN: Confined space with Isabelle Hoyland followed by a night in a casino? It's just not my idea of a good time.
Alex has other ideas though, there's a hot tub in a luxurious hotel suite with their name on it. They won't see hide nor hair of Isabelle or the casino. "Ooh, now that I like," Susan grins, raising her eyebrows. They have a smooch.
Police Station - Steiger's Office
Stu brings back the results; the prints were wiped but they got partial samples, which were matched with seven suspects. Steiger goes through the mug shots and stops when Stu makes a noise. He's spotted Dylan's lovely shot. Uh-oh, spaghettio.
Number 30
Connor is trying to explain himself saying that he needed the money and didn't mean for anyone to get hurt but Toadie's very angry right now.
TOADIE: You want money so badly, why don't you offload your mortgage repayments, hmm? Yeah it's a real renter's market out there at the moment.
CONNOR: Toadie come on, please...
TOADIE: Nah, you're done. It is done. Stuart will feel the same way. You don't rip off a mate, you just DON'T do that.
Connor says he's going to go to the cops and confess but Toadie is past caring, he thinks Connor the "scumbag" will get what he deserves.
Scarlet Bar
Paul's offering Dylan a ride to the airport but Dylan informs him he's not going, he didn't think Paul wanted him there anyway. Paul apologises for being harsh, he was just scared of the thought of Dylan going to jail. "Who's going to come out of there? Not you, jail changes you forever and I'm not going to let that happen to you." Dylan replies that it's no use, he's headed for the big house, but Paul has other ideas. He wants him to come on the flight so they can talk strategies in Launceston; and get recipes for big cakes to hold big files while they're at it.
PAUL: Worst comes to worst? You don't come home.
Number 30
Serena has come by to see Connor and senses that he looks a little worse for wear, but soldiers on. She says they should take a cab to the airport themselves to chat but he's not sure if he's going to be able to go. Serena's a bit cut, she doesn't yet know Connor's a bikini-shop money stealer. He says he has to take care of something first and she frostily bids him adieu.
Toadie silently walks by and Connor meekly asks if it's alright if he talks things through with Serena on the flight first and then he'll turn himself in to the cops.
TOADIE: I don't care what you do. I couldn't give a stuff, I'm not going to be there. And you know what? I don't even care if you ever come back.
Oh man, don't say that, Toad. And just to rewind, don't say that to Dylan either, Paul!
Bishops'
Everyone is dressed in their 40s gear, as well as Alex and Susan who have popped over. Suse is amusing Lil with her dramatic glamour poses to match her outfit while they all compliment one another on how smokin' they look. Harry says he feels like he's in Casablanca with Lil noting that David looks an awful lot like Humphrey Bogart (they both go for a kiss at mismatched times then finally get there, hehe).
Police Station - Interview Room
Steiger and Stu are showing service station man the mug shots so he can let them know if any are familiar. He of course sees Dylan and recognizes him straight away. Wow, they should use that mug shot on Damien Bodie's fan cards, what a stunning portrait.
Bishops'
Sky is cheering Serena up saying that the night's about them, glamour-pusses unite. They have a hug.
Meanwhile, the adults are gathered around the kitchen bench while Lil gazes into David's coffee cup to read his grounds, looking perturbed.
LIL: There's just... nothing there.
DAVID: Oh right, the man with no future, eh?
LIL: (smirks) Or the man who perhaps drained his coffee cup a little too quickly.
Butterflies. Butterflies in my stomach.
Susan gazes into the cup and says she sees hours and hours of misery and torture, "Oh, that would be Isabelle." Kapow! Keep those zingers coming, Suse! Harold answers the knock at the door, thinking it's the taxi man, but it's a very sharp looking Connor with slicked back hair and in a suit.
He and Serena compliment one another on their gorgeousness and Connor lets her know that he wants to tag along. They have a kiss while a horn sounds outside, the taxi has arrived. Connor, Sky, Susan and Alex all head out after saying goodbye to Harold, leaving the Bishops alone.
David thanks Harold for the tickets, and for everything he's done for them, it's going to be great to do something as a family again. Harold thinks it's great to see them like this again.
HAROLD: David? I love you, son.
(He gives him a hug)
HAROLD: I know I don't say that very often, but I do, really.
DAVID: I love you too, dad.
Tears in my eyes right about now.
LIL: Aw, you're the best, Tata.
DAVID: Group hug!
They all crowd together for a quick hug and make their way to the taxi. "Ta ta, Tata!" Lil calls out. Harold gives them a laugh and a wave.
Scummins'
A revved up Steiger and Stu have come to see Dylan. Stingray answers the door, takes one look at his visitors, and makes a bolt for the back door. Only to be met by two more cops. Steiger practically grabs Stingray by the collar and demands to know where Dylan is. Stingray keeps saying he doesn't know. There are more officers in the background, woah. Cop that, Timminses. Arrest that pun and take it to jail where it belongs...
Scummins'
Stingray informs them he's not saying anything till his lawyer gets there. Steiger tries to inflict some wrath into him by saying he could be charged as an accessory. Toadie arrives and asks what's going on, adding that he hopes they've got the conversation on tape if they're having a "little chat" or else it would be thrown out in court. He asks for a private word with his client.

Izzy and Elle are standing near the drinks and nibbles table bickering with one another till it's time to plaster on their smiles. Yes, Paul has come over to them. They offer some champagne to some well-dressed random extras.
Lil and David are checking out the plane. David wonders if it looks safe. Of course it is, y'know, 'cept for the deadly device on board and all. Lil pays him out on his paranoia and tells him to relax and have some fun, giving him a kiss.
Scummins'
Stingray lets Toadie know that the police were after Dylan, "but he hasn't done nothin'." Toad says he's only going to make matters worse for him and Dylan if he doesn't tell him the truth.
STINGRAY: Look, he could go to jail. What's worse than that?
Starts with "P" and ends in "lane ride."
"Just tell me," Toadie repeats.
Airport Hangar
Sky is fixing Serena's hair while Connor hovers around babbling on about getting some champagne. Serena tells him to take a chill pill as some romantic 40s music razzle dazzles in the background, and they all look over to the entrance.
A silhouette bedecked in hat and suit is making an appearance, homage to Casablanca style. Sky grins and runs over to Dylan the silhouette man as he tosses his bag to the side and picks Sky up, whirling her around. Aw, Dylan looks great with a ponytail.
David and Lil bite the bullet and go over to the PIE clan. Paul puts on his best happy face and greets them. Elle compliments Lil on her dress
LIL: You look absolutely gorgeous, Elle. Wouldn't it be nice to be that young again, Izzy.
Hehe. She stole Susan's Kapow! The teens make their way over and get some champagne, even Serena who is only 17; it is a special occasion after all. Elle compliments Sky on her "amazing" frock to which Sky replies that she is the bee's knees. "Well if I'm the bees knees then you're the cat's pyjamas!" Elle smiles. I think they're both the slug's bow tie myself. Paul takes Dylan aside and tells him to try and enjoy himself. He then stands at the top of the plane's stairs to address the masses.
PAUL: Welcome aboard for a night you'll never forget!
Eeep.
Montage of the plane taking off and flying over the city.
Stu and Steiger screech to a halt at the airport, minutes too late to catch up with Dylan. Steiger orders Stu to get on to the Tassie boys, he wants Dylan arrested the minute he sets foot in Launceston.
Plane
Serena notices that Connor looks apprehensive and tells him there's no rush, they've got a lot to talk about and it's going to take a while but they'll get there. "What did I do to deserve you?" Connor smiles. "Nothing," Serena smiles back, "I just couldn't live without you."
Paul walks down the aisle and asks Dylan for a word. When they're away from everyone he tells Dylan that the pilot informed him of the little police party he's going to be met with when they touch down. Paul says he's going to do everything in his power to make sure Dylan doesn't go to jail.
Dyl sits back with Sky and says it was just business talk. They have a kiss and he gives her an intense look. "I love you, you know that, right?"
Izzy giggles her way down the plane aisle, passing Paul on the way back to her seat. She notices an envelope tucked into the seat in front of her labelled, 'To my one and only'. Izzy casts Paul a loving look, thinking it's from him, and opens it. It says, I know what you did last summer ... no, it really says...
Think about your life - and everything you've done.
Izzy looks confused and glances around the plane. She turns the note over but it only has that one sentence on it.
