Recap
- Paul comparing Dylan and Elle's plans to celebrate Lassiters 20th anniversary and going with Elle's ideas.
- Karl asking Susan why she is rushing into her marriage with Alex and how well does she know him.
- David and Harold catching Sky draw Dylan in the nude.
- Harold catching Lou serving up the food he took from TGS and being very unimpressed.
West Warratah Caravan Park
Harold and Lou dish up food from the Barbie and Harold wonders why Lou is doing this. As he watches some of the residents tuck into the food, Lou replies that there are other lonely people here and they've joined together to form a small community. Harold is satisfied with the answer but wishes that Lou had told him where the food was going to in the first place.
Over by the bus, Stinger reminds Dylan that it is almost time for another hard rubbish collection and adds that he's on the look out for an MP3 player and a blender to replace the current one as he heads in to get the car keys. Sky is surprised to hear that someone would throw out an MP3 player and volunteers to go with them to help get something for her geography portfolio. Stinger overhears Dylan and Sky talking about him posing nude and wants detail and pictures, which naturally Dylan refuses to show or tell.
School
It's that time of year again - cleaning out the only classroom and corridor with the help of the random parents! Susan is surprised to see Paul given his busy schedule but he's happy to lend a hand. Paul disappears with some rubbish as Karl arrives to lend a hand and also sees it as a way to apologies to Susan for how he reacted over Alex. Susan tells him that Alex will be along later even though he should be at home taking care of his bad flu.
Scarlet Bar Office
As cute Ozzie plays with some paper cups, Lyn and Steph talk about her pregnancy and the fact Oscar will become an uncle when the baby is born although Lyn points out that they'll be more like siblings given their closeness in age. Steph comments that this is likely to be her only child but Lyn thinks otherwise as the two bold heroes arrive fresh from bungee jumping, and this from the man who chickened out of going up in a hot air balloon because he didn't like heights! Steph is surprised, indeed stunned and Max confirms that Joe also participated although he seemed to lose his lunch on route! The ladies want to drag their men home but Max has another thing he wants to score off the list - he wants to take part in the comedy show that is happening tonight!
The General Store
Stinger, Dylan and Sky return from a not-so successful hard rubbish collection but Sky is happy that she managed to get some snaps for her geography portfolio. As they chat, a guy follows them in and sits at the next table, paying attention but trying to remain inconspicuous to them. Janelle arrives and moans at the three of them for not studying at home but they point out that it is quieter here than at the bus (well it would be quieter since music isn't played in the background anymore!) Happy with that answer, Janelle joins Lou in getting more food for the residents of the caravan park and Harold moans about how much it is costing as Joe arrives and announces to the gathered that Max is doing a stand up comedy routine at TSB. Lou quickly announces he has other plans and the teens are amazed at the thought. Joe winds Janelle up that it wouldn't be her scene but she replies that it is right up her alley and heads out the door.
The guy who followed the teens in earlier, gets on the phone to someone to tell the caller that "they" are here at Lassiters and wants confirmation that the plan is still on for tonight.
Scarlet Bar
Max is up on a stage in TSB and his routine is lame to say the least and isn't getting many laughs from the gathered random extras. Even Steph is cringing for him! Janelle starts to give him a hard time and the random extras laugh when she tells Max to get off stage. Max carries on regardless and Janelle continues to heckle him and Steph asks her to first of all can it and then if she could do any better. Janelle thinks so and much to Dylan's surprise, heads up to the stage and replaces Max. I don't know who is more grateful - him, the random extras paid to be there or the audience watching at home.
School
Paul is scrubbing a locker clean as Karl passes by pushing a trolley of cleaning materials and stops him to ask advice on what to do about Izzy. Karl refuses to have anything to do with Izzy because she isn't his responsibility anymore and tells him to send Izzy to a shrink instead, which takes Paul by surprise.
Karl resumes pushing the trolley and he hears Susan on the phone to Alex. Apparently his 'flu' is worse so she tells him to continue resting at home and she'll be there as quick as she can. Karl brushes Susan off and she wants to know what his problem is with her and Alex since he keeps changing his tune. He tells her that he wants her happiness and that he doesn't dislike Alex. Susan wants to know what that means and he says that he can't tell her yet but he will, which leaves Susan perplexed.
Scarlet Bar
Max's routine went down like a lead balloon and Janelle has replaced him on stage. But wait, the audience are loving her antidotes about life on a bus with 4 kids but Stinger isn't impressed at his mum's tales. At the bar, Max comments that Janelle is funny and Steph tells him that at least he tried and gives him a kiss as a reward.
Janelle's tales continue and Stinger asks Dylan how they can shut her up! Joe tells Lyn that kicking Janelle out has obviously opened up a whole new career for her. Dylan's prayers have obviously been answered, as Paul comes over wanting a word with him, which he is happy to do since he's dying of embarrassment. Paul tells him that he did favour his daughter over him and that he has decided to go with Dylan's idea for the Lassiters anniversary project, to which Dylan is happy to hear.
At the bar, Steph has a worried look on her face and tells Max that something is wrong.
Surgery
Karl leads Max and Steph into the surgery, closely followed by Joe, Lyn and Oscar and tells Steph that he's sure there is nothing to worry about. Lyn suggests that it is just the baby moving that Steph has felt as Karl leads Steph and Max through to his office. Joe tries to follow them but Lyn stops him.
In the office, Karl asks Steph to describe the symptoms she is having and Karl comments that 'he' is trying out for a footy team. Max picks up on the 'he' bit and Karl quickly adds that ladies play footy too these days and he didn't mean to be sexist before getting a foetal monitor to check on bubs.
No. 28
Susan is stunned to hear Dylan and Stinger plead to be allowed to move in, so they can get some peace and quiet to study as it is virtually impossible to study on the bus but she has to turn the down as she is getting married.
Surgery
Joe plays with Oscar in the waiting room as in the office, Karl gives Steph the good news that 'he' is healthy and fine and that there is no need to worry, the baby just kicked. Again, they pick up on Karl's use of 'he' and Karl explains that it is better than calling the baby 'it' all the time. Lyn hugs Steph as they make their way out of the office, relieve that everything is all right. Steph announces that she wants to know what the sex of the baby is but Lyn and Max are vehemently against knowing. Steph however wants to know and as the put their fingers in their ears and start going la-la-la as Karl tells Steph that she is carrying a boy and he wasn't being sexist earlier.
Grease Monkey's (next day)
Sky is taking more photos for her portfolio but Dylan and Stinger are annoying her by blocking her view, so she gives up taking the snaps and invites them to join her for a coffee instead once they've tidied away. Stinger turns down her request as he has something to do at school but on his way there, a car quickly pulls up and the guy who was watching them last night gets out and pushes him into the car! Stinger tries to get out the other side but the guy restrains him and tells the driver to go and they quickly speed off.
The General Store
Harold spots Lou yawning and hopes he isn't planning on going to any more parties tonight as he complains about having a headache. Lou reminds him that it is a while since he's had a check up and that he should go and see Karl.
Janelle comes in for the coffee's she ordered and notices Susan and Lyn chatting in the corner. Lyn is telling Susan how good Janelle was in TSB doing the comedy routine even if the boys were hiding underneath the table. Janelle goes over to the table to give Lyn the coffee she bought (she thought Lyn would be at work) but Lyn says she's just finished one. Janelle hands it over hesitantly anyway, and Lyn tells her that she missed her too, which cheers Janelle up immensely. Susan confirms this and the pair of them leave to continue their chat on the way to work.
They leave and Sky and Dylan enter, ordering coffees. Paul approaches Dylan to ask him to stop by the office so they can plan the anniversary trip, which he agrees to before Paul leaves. As they are chatting, Dylan takes a call from Stinger. He tells Dylan that he is in trouble and can he come to get him but Dylan thinks this is a joke. Eventually though, he realises it isn't a joke, so Stinger tells him where to go but before the call can be ended, Stinger tries to warn Dylan but the guy stop him from saying more. Roo takes the phone and tells Dylan that it is time they had a chat but not before Dylan threatens violence if his brother is hurt.
Scarlet Bar
Steph is looking through a book of baby names and Max and Joe are unimpressed with her suggestions, especially Humphrey and I quite agree with them on that one (no offence to anyone called Humphrey!) Steph suggests that if she told them the sex of the baby, it would make choosing a name much simpler but Max tells her he doesn't want to know.
A happy Janelle and Lyn arrive in all friendly, which Joe picks up on immediately, and Lyn tells Janelle she can have the day off work before heading up the bar to speak to Joe. He is alarmed to hear that not only have Lyn and Janelle made up but that Lyn is letting the Timmins' move back into No. 26 too. They have a bit of a domestic as Joe is put out about not being consulted, so he gives Lyn an ultimatum - either them or him!
Surgery
Harold is in for a check and apart from his blood pressure being a bit high, he is fine but Karl reminds him that he needs to be calm given he only has one kidney. Before Harold leaves, Karl asks him for his advice over a moral dilemma he is facing - watch someone suffer unreasonably, "or break your vow of confidentiality," Harold finishes off for him. Harold tells him that the vows he took are sacred, just like a priest's, and should only be broken if someone's life was at risk. Karl ponders for a minute then tells Harold that it is an extreme situation and thanks him, which slightly puzzles Harold.
KARL: I'm going to help someone who means more to me than any other person 'cos I don't think I have any choice.
St. James' park
The car that Stinger was pushed into pulls up and Dylan opens the door to speak to the driver. As he does so, he notices Stinger being held in the back of the car. Stinger says "sorry" to his brother but is firmly told to keep quiet as Roo starts to speak.
ROO: How are you mate? While you've been getting an education, I've been inside getting some information and do you know what I learn? You were the one who grassed on me. So guess what buddy - it's payback time.
