Harold agrees with Joe and offers a different point of view - she is going into small business just like David and therefore should be proud of her instead of lecturing her. Whilst she away making the call, Bree wonders if the cheque has cleared and if so they can go to the bank to withdraw the money. Zeke thinks Alex has found out about the cheque and that is why he is late but Bree points out that there is no way he could know. Susan finishes the call and tries to reassure Zeke just as Alex appears. He apologises for being held up at a meeting and the kids are sent off to get some things for the picnic they are going to have. Susan goes over to see if he is okay as he looks a bit distracted and Alex lies saying he is annoyed because of office politics.

Lassiters Lake
Over a picnic, Alex asks his kids how they got on living at No. 26 as Audrey and B5 run past them with Joe and Lyn right behind. Susan is surprised to say the least and Lyn lays into Joe for not asking Susan first but he replies who wouldn't want their dog walked for free and besides she wouldn't want to come between star-crossed lovers! Susan replies that they are dogs and Joe adds that they are crazy about each other as Alex's phone starts to ring. He takes the call them comes back and tells the kids to start clearing up as the picnic is over - the bank manager was on the phone!
Scarlet Bar
Izzy helps herself to a drink and money from the till as Boyd comes in after sitting his exam. He asks if she is fine as she doesn't look good and about her trying to pick Dylan up. Oh yes, he also knows about her coming off the meds too and asks if she should be drinking. Izzy replies that she is a grown adult capable of looking after herself just as Paul comes in. Boyd wants to know how bad Izzy is and he replies bad, so Boyd tells him about Izzy helping herself to the money from the till and they both head off to see Izzy (she's gone out the back).
No. 28
Everyone comes back to Number 28 and Alex tries to send Bree home but she tells him she is involved and explains that she was lending Rachel the money so she could buy him a birthday present and simply got the cheques mixed up with the one Janelle gave her to cash. Alex puts a spanner in her plan by telling her his birthday was two months ago, so Zeke says they should just tell the truth. The kids explain that they found the cheque at Lassiters and Bree said there was no harm in cashing it since whoever wrote the cheque could obviously afford to lose it. Susan sends Bree home and suggests she confesses before she phones Janelle. With Bree away, Alex lays into the kids for lying to him and Susan tries to get him to calm down but he demands to know what else they got up to , however before they can reply he tells them to get into the car as they are going home.
No. 28
Serena is trying to clean up when David calls round with some food for her as a peace offering. He explains to her that she handled what has happened with Paul so well and reluctantly admits she has turned into an adult over how she dealt with it. Serena wants some help with a business proposal for Bounce and asks if he can smooth things over with Lil, which he agrees to do.
No.22
Paul and Boyd have frogmarched Izzy home and she isn't exactly thrilled. Paul reassures her that this is the worst and it will get better as Boyd decides to leave. Izzy wants Paul to say with her instead of getting her tea and biccies.
IZZY: I can't stop thinking the same things over and over again. I'm a bad person, and everything I touch turns rotten. I deserve this and more and
Paul consoles her and says she isn't a bad person and Izzy asks that he helps her get better, which he nods his head to.
No. 26
Joe and Lyn are having a candlelit meal and Joe announces that B5 has been entered into his first race. They go to have a smooch just as the lights come on, music of the non-romantic variety is played and to cap it all Bree appears wanting to know what dinner they have cooked for her. Subtly Lyn says it there is only enough food for her and Joe but he is less subtle by telling her to take an apple and eat it outside! Bree rejects this in favour of making a waffle and goes to make it until Lyn suggests she have the leftover pie instead so she can get back to her romantic meal with Joe.
JOE: You know the answer - kick them out.
Lyn replies that she couldn't do that because she'd rather face World War 3 than Janelle! Joe suggests staging a fake fire and while they are on the front lawn, he'll change the locks and throw their stuff out! Joe switches the light off so they can get back to what they started before they were rudely interrupted - pashing.
No. 22
Izzy is explaining to Paul that she hated boarding school but loved the times Max would appear to visit and tells him about a trip they took once in his car when they broke down. She goes on to tell that Max has always been there for her regardless of the trouble she has caused and now he hates her. Paul says he doesn't hate her he loves her and will forgive her, which Izzy doesn't think he'll give, but he then tells her that real love isn't conditional, it just is.
No. 28
Alex comes back and apologies for over-reacting earlier. Susan chips in and tells him that he has good kids who can put a foot wrong from time to time or to give into opportunitism but Alex replies that they know stealing is wrong and is disappointed the kids gave into temptation. Alex is beginning to have doubts about how he raised his kids but Susan explains that if something happens then you pick them up, dust them off and carry on until it happens again and then you repeat the process if necessary. Alex isn't so sure but Susan reassures him, so he wonders what he would do without her in his life.
No. 22
Izzy comes back down refreshed after having a shower and wonders if he is sick of her yet, he isn't. She apologies for how things have turned out for him and says she owes him although Paul doesn't think so. Izzy then starts to pash with him but Paul pulls back. She asks him if he misses having a physical relationship and after thinking about what she is asking him for, he leans in to pash her.
