Recap
- Stu telling Sindi he is going to talk to Steiger about his paranoia
- Summer being offered the chance to go to Gillard's
- Steph and Max asking Kayla if she is having doubts about the adoption
Hospital
Kayla tells Max and Steph that it has been hard trying not to bond with Ashley but she hasn't changed her mind, she still wants them to be Ashley's parents. Steph tells her that it means the world to them and when Kayla hopes that Ashley has a great life, Steph promises Kayla that she will. Max asks her if she's mentioned having doubts to Boyd and she replies that Boyd has got the wrong end of the stick and thinks he's just got caught up in it all and is perhaps confused and Max half-heartedly agrees with her. Steph, who's been holding Ashley, says that she smiled but Max says it was a burp.
The General Store
Boyd is telling Serena that Steph and Max are going to be gutted (if the adoption falls through). Serena says that she hopes Kayla knows what she is doing and Boyd replies that it's Kayla's decision. She then says that Kayla will still be on her own but Boyd says that she'll have Ashley and that is all that matters. As Janae enters TGS, Serena reminds him that Kayla still doesn't have a job or any support and even with Government help she'll find things tough for years. Boyd says that Kayla will manage, but Serena isn't so sure and Janae decides to butt into their conversation, saying that there is nothing wrong raising a child by yourself. Serena isn't happy that she butted into their conversation and says that Janae misunderstood what she was saying and to listen closer the next time. Janae doesn't respond to it but tells Boyd that they are late.
SERENA: Before you go one thing, you're rude but I guess you knew that already didn't you?
JANAE: Newsflash princess in case you hadn't noticed, your mum is a single mum too now, welcome to the real world.
Serena replies that her parents are almost back together and Janae asks how long for this time and Harold stops them bickering and Janae and Boyd leave. Harold goes to speak to Serena about her parents but she bites his head off and tells him that she doesn't want to talk about it.
Ramsay Street
Boyd and Janae walk home after their aikido class talking about a move she couldn't do and Boyd says it was because of her run in before class with Serena. She tells him that Serena was asking for it and asks him why he told her his problems in the first place since Serena has led a sheltered life, so Boyd asks her for her opinion. Janae tells him that most guys wouldn't care about "a scrubber getting knocked up", so Boyd tells her that Kayla isn't a scrubber and perhaps he isn't like other guys, which she agrees with, before adding that it is full on the responsibility for raising a kid. She tells him that he'd make a cool dad and he says it would be fun and he'd like to be one, one day. They reach the driveway of Number 32 and spot Max's ever-changing 4x4 in the drive, and he isn't exactly thrilled. Janae tells him that she hopes it doesn't get ugly and he says his goodbyes to her.
The General Store
Sindi comes in with a parcel to send to her mum. Lou asks why she never speaks about her family but she doesn't answer and instead gives him the address to send the parcel to. He notices it is to an address in Anson's Corner and comments that it isn't far but she says it is hard to get to by bus. Lou asks her for details about her mum - what is she like, what does she do and if she's single! Sindi doesn't answer that but tells him to send the parcel before leaving.
Harold is trying to talk to Serena about her parents, but she's behaving like OstrichMax and refusing to listen. He tells her that her parents may not get back together and she should prepare herself for that. Serena says that her parents love each other, so why would they not get back with each other and all they need is time.

Stu's been busy cleaning the house for his Auntie Raylene's visit when Sindi arrives home. She's pleased to be meeting one of his family members and asks if he's angry because he hasn't met any of her relatives yet and he says no because they are in Finland! Changing the subject, Sindi asks what the catch is with this relative coming to visit and he says there isn't, just that his Aunt is officially down for a church conference but unofficially to report everything as his mum values Raylene's opinions. Sindi firmly tells him that they've nothing to be ashamed, which he confirms before adding that "Raylene is three hail Mary's short of Mother Theresa", so Sindi says to keep the sleeping arrangements quiet! He says to keep about the astrology, the fact Toadie is a wrestler, the bikini shop and that the footy nights don't exist either.
No. 32
Summer is looking at photos of the cute Ashley on the digital camera that were taken at the hospital, saying that Ashley is beautiful and then announces that she can't go to music school because she doesn't want to miss out on Ashley growing up. Boyd comes home and asks what Kayla said to them. Max tells him that Kayla says he's got the wrong end of the stick, and Steph adds that it has been a hard few days but that Kayla still wants them to have Ashley. Boyd is stunned by this and tells them that Kayla only said these things after they convinced her and pressurised her. Max tells him that he's become emotionally involved, which Boyd tries to deny, and that he needs him to stay away from Kayla.

Stu has now chosen some conservative clothes for Sindi to wear but she isn't exactly happy but it is too late as a knock on the door signals Aunt Raylene's arrival. She comes in and greets Sindi with a hug and welcoming her to the family. Raylene is impressed with the spread Stu provide and asks if the scones are homemade. Stu nods indicating Sindi to lie, and Raylene is highly impressed that she knows the value of home baking. Sindi further lies saying it is an old family recipe as Stu quickly covers up the box they came in! Raylene gives Stu her seal of approval of at long last finding a nice lady and gives them her congratulations before commenting that she hopes it will be a church wedding. Stu says it will be and Sindi adds that she's always wanted a big church wedding and everything that goes with it.
RAYLENE: So you two have been abstaining then?
Sindi just about chokes on her drink and both keep quiet.
The General Store
Janae comes up to Serena and tells her that Boyd isn't interested in her and she can stop playing the concerned friend and Serena tells her that she doesn't have to explain herself to her. Janae tells Serena that Boyd is going through enough at the moment without her trying it on, which Serena denies, and Janae says it didn't look like that earlier. Serena turns it around and tells Janae that everyone knows that she likes Boyd and at the end of the day Boyd has to decide who he wants to go out with. Janae them comments that Serena obviously likes Boyd (Serena doesn't reply) and all she wants is a clean shot, so Serena comments that Boyd isn't a prize but Janae adds that maybe he isn't to her. Laying her cards on the table, Janae tells her that she really likes him and she knows he's starting to like her. Serena wishes her luck and Janae then apologises about what she said earlier as she wants to work through this situation with Boyd without anything getting in the way. Serena says okay as the last thing on her mind is a relationship.
Harold asks Lou if the mail is ready to be picked up and as he turns away from Harold he accidentally knocks Sindi's parcel to the ground and we hear a smashing sound. Lou opens the parcel to discover one smashed up plate. Serena tells them to hurry up and fix it before the mail is collected and hopes they're good at jigsaws!

Raylene asks what Sindi does for a living, and she tells her about her job at the Scarlet Bar, and receives a lecture in return about the public consumption of alcohol being nothing but trouble. Surprisingly Sindi agrees with her but adds that the Scarlet Bar is a place for families and mentions that the owner's mother is a reverend. Raylene comments that she is glad Sindi is being open unlike some of the terrible lies she's been told by her nieces and nephews just so she gives them her approval and Stu can't believe his cousins would do that. Raylene also comments that his cousins have given up attending church too, and asks if he still attends regularly and since he's already lied to her, he continues and says he goes to church every weekend. She now asks Sindi about her church activities and Sindi continues the lie further by saying that they actually met at church and Raylene says that the local priest must be very happy. Spotting a photo of Connor on the fridge, Stu says, "that Father O'Neill seems happy with the situation".
No. 32
Steph brings Max in a cuppa as they listen to Summer practicing and Steph comments that she is getting better everyday. Max says "yeah" and Steph picks up that there is something wrong, and thinks it is because he doesn't want Summer to go to the music school. Turns out that Claire used to play piano too and was pretty good at it! This shocks Steph (and us!) and she asks why he never said so before, and Max replies it was so Summer didn't feel under pressure to take piano up. Summer comes out of her room and into the livingroom and Steph says she sounds good but Summer isn't happy as she keeps on messing up part of it. Steph then says that she'd be missing a great opportunity if she didn't go to the music school but Sum says she can go in a few years time once the baby has grown up. Max leaves them to go and get something for Summer to listen to.
Hospital
Boyd comes into see Kayla and Ashley wanting to know why she's changed her mind. Kayla replies that she didn't say she was changing her mind and that it is right for Ashley. Boyd asks what about her and she replies that it doesn't matter but he says it does because she loves Ashley which means that she'll be a good mum. Kayla replies that it isn't enough and she doesn't want Ashley to miss out on things. This surprises Boyd and he asks if she is really going to do this and tells her that she knows she really wants to keep the baby and for her to admit it. Kayla says to him that even if she changes her mind it doesn't change a thing, she's got nothing to offer and she's not strong enough to do it on her own. Boyd says there are people who can help and she tells him that she's considered that but she still can't do it on her own.
BOYD: Well let's do it together then. Seriously what if you weren't alone? What if it were you and me looking after Ashley would that make a difference?
Boyd is now trying to convince Kayla that they can do this but she says that it is way too much, so he says that this way Ashley will have a mum and a dad and he's willing to do whatever it takes to provide for them both. Kayla says that he doesn't love her and Boyd says they love Ashley and that is all they need for now, so Kayla asks what his parents. Boyd says they will understand once he's explained everything and she replies that they are going to be disappointed but he tells her that they'll come round since they want what is best for Ashley. With a smile on her face, she asks Boyd if they can do this, he says they can and Kayla smiles as realises this way she'd get to keep her baby. Boyd asks her to say the word and she reaches for his hand, so he wonders if it is a yes or a no but she replies that they should wait and think about it for a bit.
No. 30
Raylene says the Lord's Prayer before she leaves saying it's been a wonderful afternoon but she doesn't want to be late for her conference. As they show her out, Sindi says that the next time they see her will be at the wedding but to their horror Raylene tells them that she'll see them every day whilst she is in Erinsborough for her conference and didn't his mum say it lasts 5 days! Stu says that she must have forgotten and Raylene adds that it will be a great way to get to know Sindi before she heads home.
Back in the kitchen after Raylene leaves, they wonder how they're going to manage to pull Father O'Neill out of thin air? Cue close up of Connor's photo and Tin whistle music being played.
No. 32
Max hands Sum a tape of her mum playing the piano the day after their engagement party. Sum says they didn't have a piano and Max explains that went when Boyd and her came along and so she never kept it up. This shocks Summer and she puts the tape on as Max tells her that Claire thought she'd get back to playing after the kids grew up. As the tape begins, it is the same piece of music Sum was playing earlier, and Sum asks if she should try out for the music school. Max tells her to do whatever makes her happy and that he doesn't want her to have any regrets. Sum spots Claire having trouble with the part she's having problems with too.
The General Store
With the aid of some glue and sellotape, the plate is back together again just as Sindi enters and they quickly hide the plate and feign conversation. Sindi asks they what is going on and they reluctantly show her the plate apologising to her but Sindi picks up a sellotape dispenser and smashes it again! Lou and Harold are aghast at this and Sindi explains it was already broken because her mum does mosaic work!
No. 32
Max and Steph are practicing folding nappies and Max shows his prowess as Summer comes in asking if she were to go to the music school can she still come home for the holidays, so Max tells her that she doesn't get out the babysitting duties that easily! Steph asks her if she's considering it and Sum says it won't hurt sitting the exam, as it doesn't mean she is committed either way. Max and Steph joke with her, asking if they can risk her musical hands on nappies, so Summer gets a lesson in how to fold a nappy as Boyd comes in. Max tells him that he's in time for the next nappy lesson too but he "suddenly" realised that he's going for a skate with Stingray.
No. 32 front yard
Boyd comes heads down the driveways and Janae catches him asking where he has been. He says busy and when she says she tried him on his mobile he admits he was seeing Kayla at the hospital and now he's off for a skate. She stops him from leaving to ask if he wanted to go for a swim in No. 24's pool but Boyd turns it down saying he isn't in the mood. Sensing something has happened, she asks him to tell her. He says nothing and asks her to drop it but she tells him that she likes him and thought he liked her too. Boyd says he does and she tells him that she knows what she wants - him, and starts to put a bracelet onto his wrist but he tells her that he doesn't want the same thing and he's got too many other things to worry about and tells her he is sorry before leaving.
