Recap
- David asking Liljana to come back home
- Boyd looking up schizophrenia and Summer finding out about it
Paul visiting Lil in her room...and placing the 'Please don't disturb' sign.
Lil's Hotel Room
Lil lays it down on the table for Paul. She has learnt a lot about herself these past few days and she values her friendship - it's special. While they do have something more...she can't take it any further. Even THIS meeting between them is a betrayal towards David. After 18 years of marriage, no matter how much she...well, she just can't! Paul just moves closer to her face. However, Lil has the willpower and asks him to leave. And he does.
Hoylands'
Sky's busy peeling the potatoes when Boyd starts complimenting on the pretty perfume she's wearing. Yeah right! Sky can't smell anything except for the roast. He insists it's flowery...Steph and Summer come into the kitchen at that moment. Boyd is still resentful towards his little sister and Steph finally asks them to clear the air. Summer was just worried when Boyd was looking up those mental health pages, but he insists he does not have a problem. He is sorry though, and says so. Hurrah! "The Cold War" is over. Sky, not having a clue about the websites suddenly has to leave after receiving an urgent text message from Serena.
Bishops'
Relaxing classical music plays, as David anxiously twiddles his thumbs. He did what Harold said, but it's been 6 hours and no Lil! Sky greets Serena, along with some loud R&B music with her. Evidently, one of the neighbours are having a party. Serena whispers she is really worried, as her mum hasn't come back yet. David voices his annoyance at the loud music at that moment when Dylan bursts in - announcing the P-A-R-T-Y for his sisters. Dave isn't pleased at all - he's not going to roll out the welcome mat for a couple of petty crims...Harry is more understanding, he doesn't think right now is the best time and he's already met his sisters! Once he's gone, David fumes they need to stay away from them. Remember how Janelle slashed his tires? HUH?
Lil's Hotel Room
Lil is trying to distract herself by watching the tv...when Paul drops in for another visit. This time, he announces his love for her.
PAUL: Lil. I love you. There I said it.
He continues to pull out all stops to make her stay. They share is something so very special. She knows it! She is his one last chance to make a life he can be proud of. He doesn't want to imagine a life without her. Won't she stay with him?
Evidently not ... he can't change anything, he is just making the situation worse! Paul looks shaken then eerily goes calm. He leaves, apologising on the way. He's sorry, just forget about it.
Bishops'
The remaining Bishops are also trying to distract themselves by watching television also. They don't really notice Lil walk in, until the door slams shut. She and David share a teary embrace. She's home. To stay.
Bishops' Driveway
David sees Lil off to work, they agree to meet for lunch later ... quite politely.
Ramsay Street
Serena and Sky look on - they're also concerned at the stilted situation. Boyd greets them and they make their merry way off to school.
Summer also runs out ... Steph chasing after her as she's forgotten her lunch. They both notice Bree across the road examining the glass bottles from the recycle bin. Summer walks on over and they make their introductions. Evidently, Bree doesn't have to go to school as she finished when she was 11. Nothing else they could teach, you see. David spies their friendliness and calls out that Summer she should run off. She's perplexed, but has to leave for school anyway.
Once they're nice and alone, David makes his way over to Bree and notices she's carefully looking at the bottles in the sunlight. Jumping to conclusions the way Dave can, he immediately accuses her of underage drinking, did she learn that from her mum? Oh, and don't forget about disturbing the peace last night! Or the shoplifting, yes, he knows all of it! Bree simply drops the glass bottle back - David now accusing her of malicious damage, bet she learnt that from her brother! Dylan chooses this opportunity to chase after David - bullying little girls now is he? He stammers he'll have Dylan for assault - hmmm, just like David did to Scotty? David storms off with a huffing look, Dylan imitating it. He lets Bree know he'll take care of it, Dave has had it coming!
The General Store
Lil orders a latte from Harold, but doesn't notice Paul sitting in the back. Harry asks how things are going, and they're going fine, okay-ish. He is however, glad to have Lil back home, he missed her. Lil turns around and low and behold, Paul is standing behind her. She tries to be normal, asking about their meeting later - unfortunately, Paul's cancelling and will let her know when he can fit her in.
Bishops'
Empty house. Classical music plays overhead as Dylan sneaks in. He goes over to the mantle, grabbing a photo of David - he's first unsure about smashing it, but then does it anyway. He spots the golf clubs, and picks one up (with his gloved hands) and begins to smash pictures and vases. No actual sound played, except for the classical music.
The General Store
David has arranged the work between his other duties and so it wouldn't cut in with family time - but before taking it, he just wanted to run it by Lil first! She is perplexed, he's going to do simple accountant duties for Paul ... but agrees if he can handle it, he should take it. David sweetly kisses her on the cheek, thanking her. Harold looks concerned.
Bishops'
Close up of Dylan out of breath ... we pan out to see Dylan has in fact finished smashing everything and anything in their house. The house is totalled. He runs away.
Ramsay Street
Dylan runs out, passing Bree is reading on the street. He passes Paul and his shiny red car, who advises getting rid of the black gloves if he doesn't want to arouse suspicion. "It's bloody David Bishop!" Paul simply sighs and suggests they go for a ride.
Summer bumps into Bree again, as she's gotta grab her sports gear. Though, she wishes she didn't have to go to school. Bree however wishes she could - but she can't go to school. She's got an incurable disease you see, and could drop dead at any moment. Summer can empathise, she had Long QT disease but is better now. Oh no, Bree doesn't have that - it's some long name no one can pronounce. She doesn't want Summer to tell anyone either, it's hard for her mum to be reminded her daughter will die at any given moment!
Somewhere...in Paul's car
Dylan is freaking out, he's going to go back to juvie for sure! Paul tells him to calm down, he'll incriminate himself at this rate. (Dylan should be taking notes at how to break the law and be cool and collected) He will of course, provide an alibi for Dylan, he's put too much effort into training him. He theorises no one saw him during that time of day (besides Bree, but she won't tell), and despite it being David Bishop ("what's there to like?") there are better ways to deal with it.
PAUL: As they say, don't get mad. Get even.
Hoylands
In the kitchen, Steph talks to Chipmunk!Max over the phone, she misses him so much! Thus, she doesn't hear Boyd and Summer come home. Boyd whispers he's got a brilliant surprise for Summer - it'll be the best day of her life! He writes a note for Steph and they leave.
Scummins'
Sky gives Dylan their English assignment, though he's very spacey and doesn't hear her completely. Someone knocks on the door. Though with Dylan being Mr Spacey, and Bree reading "Swept Away" it goes unanswered. Dylan finally grabs it - it's Dave. He's surprised to see Sky there and urges she go home immediately. Once she's gone, he digs into Dylan about the vandalism on their house. Of course, Dylan denies all - he was with Paul! He does trust Paul doesn't he?
The General Store
Summer bugs Boyd for clues about the surprise, but he does not relent. She's soon convinced it's some kind of evil trick...but he assures her it isn't. She shouldn't be scared, it's an awesome thing!
Bishops'
The police soon leave, as the Bishops, Lou and Paul look around at the devastation. They're perplexed at who it could be - not Dylan of course as he was with Paul all day. Though, it appears the vandalism happened at 10am, when the clock stopped. Paul suggests it could be Council related, afterall David did annoy a lot of kids when he shut down the skate park.
Lou offers a place to stay at his house, then laughs as long as it's okay with his landlord. Paul then picks this time to mention HE is Lou's landlord and has been since Valda sold it to him when Charlie died. But of course, it's okay if the Bishops stay there - the least he can do for David in hour of need...
Scummins'
Dylan tells Bree he smashed the Bishops' house 'cause he just felt like it. Good enough for Bree, and they both sit down to watching "Lust in La Villa". They don't get that in Colac!
The General Store
Lil bumps into Paul and thanks him for being so generous with the house and everything. Well, Paul just wanted to make it up to her, after all the embarrassing feelings. Lil says it's okay, she understands that. However...it's probably better if she does quit her job. Working so closely together, it is probably not the wisest idea. Of course, Paul works his magic and simply lays down the truths. They're a good team, professionally and hopefully they're adult enough to put their personal feelings aside. But of course, it is Lil's sole decision - and she agrees.
Bush somewhere
Summer's throwing rocks, fed up with waiting for Boyd's surprise! She's about to go when Boyd stops her. It is okay, "she'll" be here soon. Who? Their mother! Who Steph? No, THEIR dead mother. She told Boyd herself.
