Recap
- Carmella getting another mystery note, with the broken heart necklace.
- Sindi telling Stu to seek professional help or she leaves.
Susan's
Stu tells Sindi she better start packing. Sindi tells him she didn't mean it as a threat, and says that he can't keep acting this way. She says that pushing everyone away is only going to make things harder. Stu says he'll make things easier for her: he's moving back into number 30. Sindi tells him not to, she meant harder for him, not herself, but he won't listen.
Number 30
Carmella is getting more worried about the stalker, despite Connor's assurances. He decides to take her down to the Coffee Shop and give her a chance to forget about the mystery person for a while.
Susan's (outside)
Stingray and Dylan unload some groceries from the car (using their green reusable grocery bags - good for the environment). Dylan grumbles that Susan is treating them like slaves. Stingray tells him the alternative would be that she turned them in to the police. Dylan looks up and sees Carmella and Connor leaving their house, and whistles at Carmella. Connor tells him to back off and to stop being a smart ass. Susan and Stingray break up what could be a potentially ugly fight ("Stop before innocent groceries get hurt!"). Connor tells Susan that Dylan's comments are freaking out Carmella, and starts to mention the little gifts. Carmella says that they aren't certain that it is Dylan. Connor tells Susan he's told Dylan to back off before, and he doesn't get the message. Dylan makes fun of Connor's Irish accent, which starts the two off again, until Susan sends Dylan inside. Susan tells Connor that going off like that won't solve anything. Carmella tells her that while she agrees with her, Connor is just worried for her. And the evidence is pointing in Dylan's direction. Susan says that she'll talk to Dylan, and if he's responsible, he'll face the consequences.
Susan's (inside)
Susan asks Dylan why he doesn't just explain to Connor that he isn't the stalker. Dylan says that he shouldn't have to, it's not his problem. Susan tells him it will make life a whole lot easier on everyone if he does. Stingray adds that stirring up Connor and Carmella doesn't help. Dylan says that he was only whistling at Carmella because she's hot. Susan says that it's disrespectful, she's not a dog. She tells him the best thing for now is to give Carmella some space. She asks him why he would let Connor believe he's the stalker when it's obvious he's not. Dylan says that right now Connor's not going to believe anything he says. Suddenly we hear Sindi starting up again, begging Stu not to leave. Sindi explains the situation, and blocks the door so Stu can't leave. Susan asks Stu to explain why he's decided to leave. Stu says that Sindi has decided he's too hard to be around. Dylan and Stingray try to talk some sense into Stu, saying that Sindi will always look after him, and would never think he was too hard to be around. This starts the four of them arguing, with Susan looking on, not impressed at all.
Coffee Shop/Pub
Connor notices a guy at a nearby table checking out Carmella. Carmella looks across and says guys look at her like that all the time. Summer comes over and says hello, making Carmella jump. Summer apologises, and asks if she can talk to her a minute. Meanwhile, Connor goes over to the guy and tries to warn him to stop staring at Carmella. On the other side of the room, Summer is talking to Carmella about breaking up with Caleb. Carmella congratulates her for doing the right thing. Summer tells her about a party that Lisa is having, that Summer isn't invited to just because of the reasons she had for dumping Caleb. Carmella tells her that everyone's been in that situation, and Summer should stand up for herself and not let anything like that ruin her life.
Susan's
The argument/discussion continues, though it's wound down a bit. It becomes territorial, with everyone trying to say they have more right because they've lived here longer, which starts Susan off on one of her best quotes ever:
SUSAN: Oh, shut up! In case you hadn't noticed, the person who's lived here the longest is me! You are all guests here and guests do not carry on like that, not in my home, not anymore. (to Stingray and Dylan) You two, one more second's trouble, and your bags will be packed and you'll be out that door. Stuart, since your bags are already packed, I think it's a good idea if you continue on to number 30. You're clearly not ready to accept Sindi's help, and I think some time apart would be a very good thing. Sindi, for God's sake, woman, pull yourself together! Right, now this may come as a revelation to you, but I actually have a life, and I would like to be able to live that life, especially in my own home. Does anyone have a problem with that? Good, very good. Then I think we can move on, don't you? Excellent! Sindi, put the kettle on.
That night, Stingray and Dylan prepare dinner. Stingray tells Dylan that Susan likes her potatoes cut bigger than he is. Susan comes in and says that she wants to sort out the whole stalking thing once and for all. He says he had nothing at all to do with it, so he should go over and tell Connor and Carmella that. Dylan says he was planning on going out after tea, and Susan reminds him that she has banned him from driving, so a trip over to number 30 will have to do. She then adds that he should cut the potatoes bigger so they don't break up when he boils them. "Told ya," Stingray says. Sindi comes in and apologises for causing trouble with her and Stu. She has decided she will work on taking control of her life, and stop relying on other people, particularly men. Susan tells her that while it doesn't look like it, Stu leaving was for the best, he needs to burn off some anger and it's better he isn't directing it at Sindi. After that, he'll realise that he wants to be with her. And meanwhile, Sindi needs to become stronger, and realise that she has no reason to be needy.
Number 30
Stu has finished moving in and Carmella says she'll cook up something special for the returnee. Stu suggests phoning in a pizza because Susan never allows it there. He asks them about the latest on the stalker, and tells them it's probably better for them to do something about it instead of just sitting there. Carmella tells him about the more recent gifts and letters, and how he left the necklace right on the doorstep.
Susan's (outside)
Dylan complains about "The Blair Witch" (Susan). He says the only reason he doesn't just drive off is that he figured Stingray would whinge if they got into trouble. Dylan is seriously tempted to drive off, but he notices someone in his mirror. He mentions it to Stingray, but he doesn't see anyone. They go back to Dylan considering leaving, and Dylan says there's nothing for him here. Stingray says he's gained a lot since he's been here. Dylan thinks Susan still doesn't believe him about the stalking. Stingray tells him to prove it to her, because they're a lot better off than at home.
Number 30
Connor tells Stu that he suspects Dylan, but Carmella doesn't agree. Stu says that stalkers fear rejection, so they stay secretive so they won't be knocked back. Connor says that they're all weirdos, like Dylan. Stu says that he hasn't exactly been avoiding direct contact. Connor tells him about how he keeps coming on to her. Stu says he won't completely rule him out, but it's doubtful. Summer pays a visit to give Carmella some biscuits to say thank you. She says that she told Lisa what she could do with her party. Stu comments on a smell, and Summer says it's the cookies. Connor asks Summer to leave, and Carmella tells her that they're just in the middle of a serious problem, and she tells her about the stalker, and how they're leaving some gifts and it's a bit creepy. Stu asks Summer if she's wearing perfume, and says it smells a lot like Carmella's. Summer admits that it is the same. She confesses to leaving the perfume, but she just wanted to say that it was cool being her neighbour and all. Carmella and Connor are relieved to have found out who the stalker is.
Outside Susan's
Dylan gets out of the car; apparently he has decided to stay. Suddenly Dylan sees the guy again. He gets into a car and drives off. Dylan runs back to his car, and Stingray tries to stop him. Dylan says he's going after him, so he can either get in the car or go away. Stingray gets in the car, and they drive off.
Number 30
Summer apologises, and Carmella says it wasn't her fault. Connor asks in future to just say it instead of all the "secret admirer stuff". Summer agrees. Carmella says she really appreciated the gesture, but she can't keep the necklace. Suddenly Summer is confused. She didn't give her a necklace. Or flowers. All she sent was the perfume and the note.
Some street somewhere
The boys return, unsuccessful. They didn't see the car or the person. All they have is a dark car with a blonde man, maybe.
Susan's
A bit later, they are home, and tell Susan where they went, and that they couldn't catch the driver. They convince Susan they are telling the truth, and she asks them not to give her a reason to doubt them. She also asks them to go and tell Connor and Carmella what they saw.
Number 30
Susan and the boys have told them about the stalker. Stu has just called the police, and they'll be there in half an hour, but other than taking a statement they can't do much else right now. Susan says that at least they have the start of a description, thanks to Dylan and Stingray. Stu tells them they did good. Connor apologises for suspecting Dylan, and with Susan's prompting, Dylan apologises for stirring up Connor and Carmella. After Susan and the boys leave, Stu tells them that the stalker probably hasn't been scared off for good. Connor says he'll take tomorrow off work so he can be there with Carmella. Carmella says the guy may have her scared but she's not going to let him ruin her life.
Susan's
The next day, Dylan offers to drive the three of them to school. Susan immediately picks up that he's trying to get her to lift the driving ban, and doesn't let him. She says they should have called the police instead of the chasing the stalker, and mentions the other incidents they've been involved in. She mentions freeing Audrey, and says they could have just phoned the pound and picked her up, but they chose a more extreme approach. She tells them that they do the right thing, but go the wrong way about it, so for the time being, the ban saves. Stingray tells him to think about how much petrol he'll save.
Number 30
A mysterious person goes up the stairs out the back, to a bucket of soapy water.
Meanwhile, Sindi knocks on the front door and Stu lets her in.
The person out the back squirts soap all up the top of the stairs.
Sindi tells Stu that whatever he needs to do, do it. She knows it not the real Stu, and when he comes back, she'll be waiting. Stu starts to say something, but Sindi tells him she's okay, just don't let the real Stuart stay away too long.
The stalker splashes water all on the steps.
Connor is on his way out the back to hang the washing, and his phone rings. He talks to Carmella on his way out, while Stu leaves out the front door to go for a walk. Connor hangs up the phone at the top of the stairs, still having not noticed all the water. He takes a step, slips and falls to the bottom. Unfortunately, now the house is empty. Who will find him?
