Buffy telling Lana she knows how she feels about Sky.
Lil kicking out Svetlanka.
Lana and Stingray talk about the comic. Lana has considered making Boyd a superhero. Stingray wants to be a superhero too, a better one than his previous “Camp-Man”. He suggests “The Green Cake-Taker”, because all the best superheroes are green. Cake-Taker has a stomach of steel, and can eat 1000 fish fingers in one go.
In the kitchen, Svetlanka helps out Harold with the cooking. Harold reassures her that Lil will forgive her over time. Svetlanka isn't too sure. To change the subject, Harold asks her to cook some Serbian food because he wants to put it on the menu. The two of them suddenly notice a young boy at a table. He has been there alone for some time.
Lil tells David that she is worried about Luka. He has not called her for days, despite a large number of messages she has left him. David tells her that he is being looked after properly, and if there was the problem, they would have heard. Sky comes in, very happy, because she and Boyd are back together. While she tells Serena about it, Lil and David go to the lounge room. Lil wants the phone, but David tells her that she's left enough messages, and Luka will get back to her. Lil worries that he does not feel welcome in the house. David assures her that he is, and he has full respect for the “connection” between Lil and Luka. He tells her that right now things are complicated and will take time to absorb, and that Lil might need to face the fact that her need to keep in contact with him may not be reciprocated. Lil tells him that he crossed an entire continent to find her; she can't let him go now.
Stingray tells Lana about the bet he once had that he couldn't drink two whole bottles of Tabasco sauce, but he won. Meanwhile, Harold and Svetlanka try to get information out of the boy. At last he tells them that his name is Sam, and he's seven years old. However, he is reluctant to say where he lives. They do manage to find out he had a fight with his parents, ran away and got lost. He doesn't want to tell the adults where he lives, because they're strangers. Svetlanka suggests Harold gets him a milkshake.
Sky helps Serena study for a test. Serena can't concentrate because she keeps thinking of what happened between herself and Luka. Sky says everything will work out. Serena tells her to think of what it would be like if it happened between Sky and Toby (her step-brother), without either of them knowing they were related. Sky tells Serena that she can't imagine what she's going through, but she'll be there for her. Serena is worried about David, because Luka must constantly remind him of the other man Lil used to be with. Sky gets a text message from Stingray, asking them to meet him at the coffee shop. Sky says they should go, to take their minds off things. Serena tells Sky to go, but she wants to finish studying.
Harold has left Svetlanka to try to get information out of Sam about where he lives. He returns, and finds out that Sam lives in West Waratah. Still know specific address, but Svetlanka tells him there's no rush. Harold goes to get him another milkshake and Svetlanka follows. Harold tells her he wishes Lil could see how nice and caring Svetlanka can be. She tells Harold that Lil can be stubborn, just like she can. She says that things between her and Lil won't heal while she's close by, and has decided she must go back to Perth, but wants Harold to go with her.
David, Lil and Serena eat dinner, but are interrupted with a visit by Luka. While Lil is pleased to see him, David is not at all.
Lana is leaning over the bridge, looking at herself in the pond, looking depressed. Sky comes over, and Lana tells her that Buffy has ended things with her. She tells Sky that Stingray is inside paying.
Stingray asks Harold to put what he bought on his tab. Harold points out he doesn't have one, and refuses to make one for him. Stingray tells him he's good for it, because Karl is paying him to make the website for Lou to sell junk he finds on the side of the road. “Sounds a bit like counting your chickens before they hatch to me,” Harold tells him. Stingray, hearing only what he wants to hear, thanks Harold and leaves before Harold can respond.
Outside Coffee Shop
Sky tells Lana that seeing her with Buffy made her jealous, but after talking things over with Libby she has found that it's because they're really close friends, maybe even soul mates, but the relationship between Sky and Lana is different to the one between Lana and Buffy. Lana says she's glad Sky has worked it out.
Harold, with a chuckle, tells Svetlanka that Stingray is either an emerging Lou Carpenter or a threat to public sanitation. Svetlanka gives him an update on Sam: he has at last told Svetlanka his address, and she's taking him home. Harold lends her his car, and they agree to go out somewhere after he closes up the shop, then he'll go and give David and Lil a good talking to about how they've been treating Svetlanka. She tells him not to, because they'll think she planned it. She doesn't want to cause any more trouble.
Lil offers to make coffee for David. David insists he'll make it, so that Lil, Luka and Serena can talk. Lil sits back down, and she and Luka talk quite comfortably, but Serena is not as warm and friendly. Luka tells a story about how when he was little, he was at a Serbian party in Perth, and during a game of cricket, a lady hit a ball that smashed a window. Completely surprised, Lil tells him that was her. David listens to the whole conversation, clearly not pleased.
Stingray tries to get Lana and Sky to do something fun, and suggests dumpster-diving. While the girls talk, Stingray gets bored and does push-ups using the rails on either side of the bridge. Lana suggests Sky's place, but there's too much family tension. Stingray's place is out, because Toadie and Sindi are making up there. Stingray says he's so bored, he's almost considering doing his English homework. Lou overhears and tells him that if he's bored he should get his act together and do what he's getting paid for.
The teenagers go and work on the website. They sit down and work out how they can sell stuff Lou just finds on the road. Lou comes in and gives them what looks like beer, but it's alcohol-free. He passes it off as free refreshment, but he really wants a taste-test. Sky quickly points out that while they're designing his website for cheap, he wants them to be taste-testers for free. Lout tells them that half an hour ago they were bored, now they're riding the information superhighway with drinks and nibblies for free. Take it or leave it. Suddenly Stingray tells him they'll take it. After Lou leaves, Sky and Lana get up him for caving in. Stingray explains that he has a plan to scare “that fart-muncher”. They will drink the alcohol-free beers and pretend that it's actual beer, which will make Lou think twice about exploiting innocent children.
While Lil and Luka talk happily in the lounge room, Serena approaches her father in the kitchen. She feels that Luka doesn't deserve a relationship with Lil, especially after ignoring all her recent phone calls then just showing up unannounced. David tells her to just give them a chance. The two of them are shocked when Luka asks Lil to tell him about his father. Lil says that Ivan was a musician with a wild side. All the girls liked him. Serena tells David she shouldn't be telling Luka all that stuff about a man who had an affair with Lil, then dumped her. Luka asks Lil for a picture of him. Lil says she should be able to find one. Serena and David can't believe Lil kept photos of him.
Lana is working on the website, while Sky and Stingray play cricket with an umbrella and a scrunched-up piece of paper. They hear Lou coming, and put their plan into action. Lou complains that he's not paying them to have fun. Sky tells him their not getting paid at all, so they thought they'd have a party. They fight over whose turn it is to bat, and Sky drunkenly asks Lou for some more snacks. Stingray does the whole drunk people “I love you” thing to Lou. Lou begins to fear the worst and asks why they're behaving like a bunch of secretaries on a Friday night. Sky and Stingray cackle wildly at Lou's remark. The drunk talk continues, until Lou grabs a bottle from Stingray's hand and tastes it. He practically wets himself when he realises it's real beer. “Oh, wait til my grandad hears about this,” Sky says. “I reckon Suse'll have a bit of a chuckle too,” Stingray adds.
Stingray says the beer is great; in fact, he's going to go to the bar and tell everyone how great the brew is. Lou tells the three of them to stay in the office, and he'll return in a few minutes with some strong black coffee, and begs them not to tell their parents. Finally, the three of them drop the act and tell Lou that it's non-alcoholic. Stingray explains that Lou tasted alcohol because he put a bit in his bottle. Lou tells them all to leave for the night. Outside, Lana walks Sky home, while Stingray sees Serena. He tells her about their prank, but Serena doesn't seem in the mood. He asks her if she'd like a “slightly annoying but mostly loveable cake-taker” to cheer her up a bit. The two of them walk off together.
Lil brings out a box of old photos and stuff and goes through it, while telling Luka there's so much she wants to know about him: what he was like as a kid, what he wants to do with his life, etc. David cuts in, saying it's late so he's going to bed. Luka says he should go too. Lil tells him to wait a minute, having just found a picture of his father. Luka is pleased and says he hopes he can find him one day. Lil reminds him that he found her. He hands back the photo, but Lil tells him to keep it. After he leaves, David goes off at Lil, saying that Ivan mustn't have been as bad as Lil always made him out to be, seeing as how she's held on to his photo, and remembered all that stuff about him.
