- Stingray taking off in David's car
University
Although we can't see his face, Jack is talking to a Dean-type of figure, as he explains his situation at home and how busy he has been, thus unable to keep up with his course. He's sorry and knows that he will have to forfeit his place, but the Dean is completely understanding and tells him that there will always be a place for Jack.
Unfortunately, that was all a figment of Jack's imagination because we know see Jack looking frazzled and shaky as he takes a drink of water. The Dean walks into the room, apologises for being late and they get started.
No.32
Sky is poking fun at Boyd's sandwich with leftover fillings, before Serena runs in and frantically yells that Stingray has flipped out and they need to help.
No.28
Sindi asks Susan to remind her to pay her share of the gas bill because she does not want to forget...like she has forgotten to pick up some bread so now Stingray will have nothing to eat. Susan assures her not to worry, she'll let him sleep him and take him out for breakfast later. At that very moment, Serena, Sky and Boyd rush in and break the news that Stingray has just taken off in David's car. The group split up to look for him and to inform Toadie.
Street
Furiously driving down a street, Stingray switches gears pulling him into a faster speed.
No.30
The group tells Toadie that Stingray has run away in David's car and Susan is checking out his friends' houses. Sindi tells them about the note that he left which explained that he didn't want to be cause of any more trouble so he's just gonna take off because he loves them. They're unsure of what to do, as they can't call the police or else he'll probably get thrown into juvenile detention. Connor interrupts them, and asks to keep it down as he had just got Maddy to sleep, after her being awake for most of the night. Bitter, that he'll also have to explain a tired and irritable Maddy to Lori, he again blames Toadie for his stupid cousin. Toadie flatly tells him that his 'stupid cousin' has taken off.
No.26
Jack on the phone, is assuring Lyn that everything is under control and he'll take care of all the payments. He hastily excuses himself.
No.30
Toadie decides that he's going to look for Stingray himself before the police pick him up an the teens go with him. Sindi decides she'll ring around again, though Connor doesn't know why and thinks it's good riddance to rubbish. Sindi asks how Connor can be like this, as even though Stingray did something awful, he is still a little kid and Toadie feels exactly the same way he did when Maddy went missing.
No.28
"Bail Me Out" by Pete Murray plays over this montage
Susan reads Stingray's letter:
"Deer Toadie, Sindi, and Suse, I'm so sorry for takeing Maddy and losing her. I totally spazzed things up wish I could undo it. But I can't! I'm a spiggin Idiot, and I never want to make worry aggain! So, I'm heading off. Things be better without me. Tell Serena I love her."

No.28
Shot of the letter again as Sindi walks in and tells her that Toadie and co. are out looking for him. Sindi says Toadie didn't want to call the police yet...however if he's not back within an hour Susan says she will as he's a 16year old behind the wheel of a car! They both blame themselves for what has happened. Susan thinks she has been too preoccupied with Tom, but Sindi blames herself, as after all she is the clairvoyant. Someone knocks on the door and they are both surprised to see Lil there. Lil asks if she has seen anything suspicious because David's car has been stolen! She asks to use the phone to call the police, but the two need to tell her something first...
No.30
Connor sadly talks to a sleepy Maddy about how he knows he messed up, but hopes that he will get a second chance. He kisses her on the forehead, saying he just loves her so much.
Street
The group hop out of Toadie's car, unsure of what to do next. Serena asks if they should tell Stingray's parents in case he turns up there, but Toadie regretfully says they probably wouldn't care. In fact, as he is the legal guardian - they would probably sue him! It's just the Timmins' way to turn something tragic into something profitable. There's a screeching sound and Boyd points out David's car which is barrelling down the street. Stingray's car is about to collide with a white one but luckily, swerves in time to miss it and pulls up onto the curb. They run over to him and Toadie persuades him to open the car door. He silently gets out, but then tries to run away. Toadie grabs him behind the waist and forcefully asks him to settle down. Stingray tearfully yells that 'he's just rubbish'.
No.26
An ever nervous looking Jack calls up Mac, who is at the Coffee Shop. He shakily tells her that he has just been kicked out of university, is being questioned by more police, on top of his mother calling him every 5 minutes and asking about how the business is going. He wants Mac to come over right now and threatens to expose her true identity when she refuses. Mac warns him not to mess with her, and that she can't just drop everything to go see him when he warrants it. Jack just yells at her to get over here and hangs up the phone.
No.28
Stingray has no internal injuries, but it was recommended that he see a paediatrician straight away. Toadie asks him what he thinks about this, but Stingray merely shrugs and opts to have a rest - even after Sindi offers to cook him a big plate of fish fingers. Lil, who was sitting on the couch dryly asks if his bedroom window is locked but Susan doesn't think he has the energy to do anything. She has never seen him like this, however Toadie thinks he will just bounce back. He turns to Lil, and knows that she has every right to press charges, however to really think about what she is doing. No one was hurt, and involving the police could affect the rest of his future. Lil asks Toadie that if the outcome was different, would be still be defending him this way?
Coffee Shop
A guy hands Mac over a handful of money, but she angrily tells him that it's not enough! She doesn't to hear his excuses and to remember that "I'm in charge here and I don't think you want to forget that."
No.24
Boyd and Sky discuss Stingray's behaviour - they felt so useless that they couldn't do anything and wonder if they should see him. Boyd doesn't think it's a good idea, thinking he might be embarrassed about what happened. Lil walks out with a teary Serena. Serena has no idea what to do about Stingray, as she has never seen him like this. She's upset that she didn't know what to do, and he wouldn't even look at her. Lil comforts her, thinking that she needs to give him some time alone, as they have no idea what is going around in his head. Serena asks if Lil is going to tell the police and begs her not to or else he will go straight to juvenile detention. She has no idea, and is going to have to speak with David first, but Serena knows that David will want to involve the police straight away. She reminds Lil of her own words that they have no idea what is going on in his head to make him act like this and she needs to give him a chance.
No.28
Lil has just told Toadie and co. that she is not going to press charges. They're all extremely grateful and now wonder how they are going to handle Stingray. They need to get him back to eating more healthy foods, and Toadie realises that he requires more attention that first thought. Stingray overhears this and hopes that they're not going to send him away. He tells them that he will try harder, but they already know that, they just want to figure out how they're going to keep better tabs on him. Stingray tells them that he wants to go back on the medication and begs Toadie to just make the appointment.
Erinsborough Hospital
Toadie and Susan have a talk, as Stingray goes to his appointment alone. Toadie feels useless, and wonders if him being here has just made him worse, and not better. Susan asks that if Stingray did not respect, or love him, would he be in there wanting to be better? "Underneath that chaotic exterior, that kid is gold."
She knows he's being too hard on himself, and he's done the best that he could. He has made Stingray believe in himself, something that no one else has done.
No.30
Connor stares down at a polaroid of himself and Maddy when Toadie comes in and asks how it went with Lori. Of course she blames him, but he knows that it wasn't his fault but what can he do? Connor thinks that Stingray should be locked up, despite Toadie informing that the kid has an attention deficit disorder. He recalls the time that Connor was given a few second chances, just like Stingray should be given. There's a brief silence before Connor announces that he needs to go down to the pub, and tells Toadie that he's paying.
The Pub
While the two guys play darts, they both lament about how hard it is to raise kids. Connor thinks that Toadie is being too hard on himself, and that's he's just done the best he could - but he can't seem to apply the same to himself and Maddy. Connor looks at other fathers like Max and thinks they just have all the answers, though Toadie points out that he's been doing it a lot longer than he has. He thinks he lost it with Stingray because if he's not there to protect Maddy, than who will be? The two laugh at themselves, noting about how responsible the two are, whereas a year ago the hardest decision was whether or not they should have pizza or pasta for dinner.
No.28
Seated for dinner, Stingray helps himself to some green vegetables. Susan and Sindi glance his way. He's quiet for a moment because he goes to the counter and picks up some of his medication. He brings them back to the table and takes them, and continues to silently eat his dinner.
Coffee Shop
While Boyd notes the wonder of the coffee/chocolate combination (you don't have to decide which you want), Sky asks Serena about Stingray. As she knows him better than they do, what's going on with him? Serena corrects them, she knows him as well as they do and excuses herself.
No.26
Jack, looking extremely unstable answers the door and embraces Mac. He's grateful to see her, wondering why it took so long to get here! She had turned her phone off because he kept calling and got here as fast as she could, without being seen by Stuart. Jack freaks out with all the things going on in his life and tells Mac he loves her. "I love you. I need you." She thinks he's just freaking out and has no idea what he wants. However, he knows he wants that money she took, but Mac just tells him that the money is gone and it's never going to come back. However...with a glint in her eye she tells him a way to get the money back. However, Jack refuses to have anything else from his site missing as it would just seem too dodgy, however Mac is not talking about his work site. As Darren is already a suspect, having been an ex-crim...they can go and steal some stuff from the sites he is working on. All they need is evidence, which they are going to give to him.
