Number 32
Max and Izzy talk about her and Karl's relationship, and Max apologises for the fight they had. Talk turns to the wedding. Max decides to pay for the wedding so Joe doesn't have to worry about it. He thinks Steph wants a small wedding, because she's already had the big posh one (sort of). Izzy tells him that every girl wants a fancy wedding, even if she's already sort of had one.

Hospital
Scott talks animatedly with Toadie, and Libby, sensing that Toadie and Sindi need some time alone, gets Scott and Susan out of the room. Toadie now seems to recognise Sindi, and tries to make conversation, but Sindi leaves almost immediately after the others. As soon as she's out of the room she bursts into tears. Susan comes back and sees Sindi crying. She assures her that Toadie will be fine, and Sindi covers by saying that she's so happy.

Number 32
Max talks on the phone with Summer. When he finishes, he fills Steph in on Summer's phone call. Apparently she has invited everyone in Papua New Guinea to the wedding, and her suggestion of a tribal wedding. Izzy leaves the room when talk turns to the wedding. Max explains to Steph that she's having a bad hair day. Max mentions the traditional wedding he was thinking of. While it's clear Steph doesn't want one, she asks about the wedding Max and Claire (his first wife) had. Max tells her it was a low-key wedding, Claire didn't want a fancy one. Steph senses that this is what Max wants, so she goes along with it.

Hospital
Susan and Scott are back in the room. Scott entertains the group with his usual behaviour - including putting a bedpan on his head and pretending to be a pirate. Then suggesting they could use it at home to put veggies or flowers in. Libby tells him to behave himself or he'll end up in hospital too. Libby asks Toadie if he remembers anything about what happened. Toadie only remembers little bits and pieces. Susan tells him that Stuart didn't give up on the investigation, and Sindi never left his side once they found him. Sindi soon joins them, and when Scott gets wild again, Susan decides they should leave. When they announce this, Sindi makes sure she leaves first to avoid being alone with Toadie.

Number 32
Izzy dumps some garbage in the bin outside and stares off into space, thinking about her relationship with Karl. We see some clips of the two of them: Karl telling her what a great person she is, the two of them cuddling up in bed talking, and finally, Karl telling them they need some time apart to think things through.

Hospital
Susan is still with Toadie. It's now night time and she's watching him sleep. Karl comes in, back early from his trip because he found out about Toadie. Karl explains that Toadie will be fine, but to start with he'll have trouble concentrating, and he'll get confused easily. Susan and Karl try to make conversation about Billy and Anne. Toadie soon wakes up, and seeing Karl and Susan in front of him, thinks that they are back together. They soon clarify things for him. When they leave his room, Karl tries to say something to Susan, but she interrupts, sincerely wishing him the best, and telling him she wants him to be happy.

Susan's
Susan, noticing Sindi's behaviour for the day, tries to get her to talk about it. Sindi tells her that she's realised that Toadie doesn't really love her. The reason she thinks this is that he said Dee's name when he regained consciousness.

Pub
Max comments to Karl that he is "sneaking in under the cover of darkness", returning without telling Izzy. He suggests he call her, because she's been wandering around like a lost soul. Karl tells him the two of them can work it out on their own. Max explains to Karl that it hasn't been easy for Izzy - while he's been away, she's been left in Erinsborough with the eyes of the world on her, judging her. He tells him he hopes that he and Karl both have Izzy's best interests at heart.

Susan's
In the middle of the night, Libby gets a drink and finds Sindi in the loungeroom watching TV. Libby sits down with her and tells her she knows how Sindi feels - she thinks about Drew every day. She mentions a guy she met a while back that she thought she might have a chance with, but it turned out he wasn't ready for a single mother. To get to the point, she says that although she had feelings for this other guy, she still thought about Drew the whole time, and she might have said Drew's name in her sleep just like Toadie did, but that didn't mean she wasn't ready to move on. Sindi thanks her, but she still doesn't think she can live up to Toadie's memory of Dee, because their marriage didn't get tainted by real life, so he has a frozen image of perfection. Libby tells her that Toadie still has things going on in his life that only living breathing people can give him - love, friendship and support. Sindi can give him those things, so she's perfect for him. Libby tells her not to give up on him.

Number 32
Max worries about his conversation with Karl last night - maybe he said some things he shouldn't have. Steph tells him that starting a relationship with a recently separated man isn't a good idea. Max, while agreeing with her, asks her to go easy on Izzy. Izzy comes into the room and Gus talks to her, but accidentally mentions that he's seen Karl. Izzy's annoyed - he's done the big brother thing, so of course Karl won't call now. As soon as she says this, her mobile rings, and it's Karl.

Hospital
Sindi is sitting in Toadie's room. When he wakes up, he tells her he missed her yesterday when she left early - "I hate waking up when you're not here." He can't wait to be able to go home, so that they can get into things. Sindi is happy and the two hug.

Bridal Shop
Melody, the woman who used to be Nina's manager, is now selling wedding dresses. She shows a few to Steph, Libby and Susan. Susan asks if she's caught up with Nina yet and asks about the career change. "Too many knives in the back," she says. She gives Steph a dress to try on. Mel tells her that it's "you". Steph complains that it's too heavy and she won't make it down the aisle. While Melody makes adjustments, Steph wishes Lyn could be there, instead of in her psychology class.

Karl's
Izzy comes knocking and asks Karl about the trip. Karl tells him that Billy's reaction was pretty much the same as Libby's. He has decided that their relationship would be too hard to continue, he would feel like he'd be rubbing Susan's face in it, and he can't do that. Izzy abruptly leaves.

Bridal Shop
Libby tries on a dress. Steph loves it, and asks how much it is. Melody says it's a one-off original, $5000.

Susan's
Steph, Libby and Susan enter, talking about how insane Melody is. Scott leaves just as they arrive, saying he's going to see "Dad" (Serena's dad, that is). When the women suggest "David" or "Mr Bishop" might sound better coming from Scott, he insists David is cool with it, and that Serena's parents both approve of his relationship with Serena. After Scott leaves, talk turns back to wedding dresses. "Why can't I just get married in jeans?" Steph wonders.

Unknown street
Izzy is walking along, minding her own business, when Gus makes a surprise return. Izzy tries to get away, threatening to call the police, but stops in her tracks when Gus tells her he knows she's pregnant with his child.
