Sky says Izzy thinks she's the only person in the world who's ever had to work. Izzy comes out says she's got another batch to make then she'll come out and help Sky. Sky and Susan giggle and Izzy asks them what is so funny. Izzy says she expected this. That Susan would try and turn people against her like she did with Scott. Susan says she didn't and like everyone else he can see what's going on.
IZZY: You know the reality is you and Karl aren't together anymore and you can't deal with it. You've got no claims over him anymore and you can't handle it. Wave goodbye Susan. Get over it and move on.
Gus runs into the backyard of a half build house and hides.
Susan has just told Lyn about Toadie and says it's good he's being moved closer to people who care about him. Susan then tells Lyn about her latest run-in with ‘jezebel'. Susan says she hates trading insults with her and she hates feeling like that about anyone but Izzy just makes her blood boil. Lyn tells Susan it's not her fault. Susan says she knows but she has to find a better way to deal with it. Lyn tells Susan there are times you should turn the other cheek but this isn't one of them.
Gus is hiding behind a wall as Max runs into the site backyard. Gus pears around the corner and sees Max he jumps back making a noise. Gus runs into the house and Max follows him.
Sky is washing the dishes and Izzy tells Sky they are not done properly and Sky will have to do them again. Sky tells Izzy there's nothing wrong with them and Izzy should do them then. Izzy says she's not the kitchen hand she's the boss and oneday when Sky's grown up maybe she'll be a boss too.
SKY: I wonder what I'll be when I'm all grown up. I hope I'm still not working in a café chopping up food for a living. That'd be pretty pathetic. You know what, I'd love to be like Susan, intelligent, respected, a good job
IZZY: Unable to hold onto your husband....
SKY: Classy, yeah that's the word. You know what, I can't ever imagine Susan getting involved with another woman's cast-off. I'd hate to end up like that sort of woman at…say… your age
IZZY: Well, when you're 26 why don't you just give me a call and we can compare notes. I'm sure they'll let you use the phone at the refuge
SKY: 26? Izzy, I was talking about your age now, not five years ago!
Izzy drops an egg on the floor on purpose and tells Sky to clean it up. Sky says she's not there to clean up after Izzy. Izzy says yes she is and Harold wouldn't be happy if the mess is left there, as he's worried about the health inspector.
Gus is sneaking around. Max calls out to him asking him to come out so they can talk. Gus sees a ladder leading to the next level. He runs out of the house, calls out to Max and runs back in. Max chases him and Gus runs up the ladder and pulls it up after him. Max asks Gus to come down. Gus says he never hurt Max family and he never would. Max says he just wants to help him. Gus says no. Max sees another ladder and climbs up it and searches for Gus. Gus is hiding and looks like he's about to cry.
Max calls out to Gus again. Gus comes out of hiding.
GUS: I only wanted to be part of your lives, I only wanted good things for everyone
MAX: That's why you sedated me?
GUS: Yeah, but who looked after your kid when you were crook?
GUS: I just wanted to show you that you could rely on me if anything ever happened. I just wanted you to know it would be good to have me around that's all I wanted, for you to want me around
MAX: I've got no problem with you being apart of our lives, it's just the way you went about it
GUS: Oh yeah, the loony way.
Gus is slowly walking backwards, closer to the edge. Max asks him to step away. Gus wants to know if Max thinks he's going to jump. Max says no he just doesn't want him to fall. Gus edges back further. Max tells Gus he's not going to see his family again until he gets help. Gus grabs Max and they fall off the edge.
Sky tells Izzy she's finished mopping the kitchen. Izzy says she'll need to check it later. Sky asks Izzy if she needs to sit down as it probably gets harder as you get older. Izzy says she's going into the kitchen to get some beetroot adding she hopes she doesn't spill any. Sky reaches under the counter and picks up Izzy's purse. She pulls out the driver's license and Izzy catches her asking her what she's doing with her purse. Sky tells Izzy it can't be her purse because according to the driver's license, the wallet belongs to a 30-year-old. Everyone in the coffee shop is looking at them.
SKY: Don't' get embarrassed Izzy, I actually thought you were a lot older than that. You know if I were you, I'd try and steal myself a plastic surgeon not a GP.
Izzy tells Sky to take off her apron and get out. Sky says no. Izzy shouts out she caught Sky stealing from her wallet. Sky says she wasn't she was just checking the drivers license. Izzy tells her to get out or she'll call the police. Sky tells her to. Izzy picks up the phone and Sky walks out.
Steph tells Boyd the police have a car out looking for Gus and Max. Boyd asks her what they should do now. Steph says they just wait. Boyd says the more people looking the quicker they'll find him and they'd have a better idea of where Gus would go than the police. Steph agrees and they run out.
Tom brings Susan over a dvd he's borrowed. Susan tells Tom about her run-in with Izzy and how she can't help but yell at Izzy when she sees her. Tom tells Susan if she doesn't want to be like that then she doesn't have to. She can take charge of the situation.
Max is on a stretcher and the paramedic asks his name. Max starts mumbling about Gus. The paramedic asks Max if his name is Gus. Max says Gus was here. The paramedic asks Max his name again and Max says his family are in trouble.
Tom notices Susan has taken her wedding ring off. Susan says she's not sure what the next step is but she doesn't want it to be divorce. Tom says he's glad but some people see divorce as the only action not the last resort. Some marriages can be saved with some work but others can't be saved no matter how much work is done.
Susan asks Izzy if she can have a word to her.
SUSAN: I've let the situation get out of control. I don't like what you did to me and truth be told I don't like you but that's for me to deal with. I'm sorry for the things I've done that have made you uncomfortable. It would be hypocritical of me to say I would like us to be friends but I would like us to be civil. So again I apologise for my behavior
IZZY: OK. Well, I'm all for being civil.
Susan sees Lyn standing in the door of the coffee shop. Lyn walks out and Susan runs after her. Boyd rushes in telling Izzy that Max has been hurt and Steph is in the car ready to go to the hospital.
Max is lying in a hospital bed with Steph, Izzy and Boyd looking on. MAX: That career as a stunt man is looking good isn't it. Max tells them Gus didn't go it on purpose he was trying to stop himself from falling. Boys says if he ever sees Gus again he'll tear him apart. Max tells him to leave it to the police. Boys says no, Gus tried to poison Max and not he tried to kill him. Izzy gets dizzy and Steph hand her a glass of water.
Tom is telling Lyn about the film he bought Susan. Lyn says she hasn't seen it and Tom suggests she could watch it with Susan. Lyn says Susan might invite Isabelle. Lyn says Susan changed her mind about Izzy and is now bottling it up. Tom says maybe Susan isn't bottling up, maybe she just wants to move on. Tom asks Lyn is she's got a problem with him being friends with Susan. Lyn says no she's just surprised by Susan's turnaround.
TOM: Lynette…Is there more to it than that?
LYN: I don't know… Is there?
TOM: Oh, this goes back a long way doesn't it
LYN: What does?
TOM: Lyn, I know how you felt about me before I became a priest
