David wonders why Lil always tells him about self defense class at the last minute.
Lori puts her heart on the line to Jack.
Allan hitting on Lil.
Outside of Pub
Serena has seen enough and stalks away in disgust. Lil takes her hand away from Allan's and says she's happily married. Allan doesn't get it, she's been flirting with him all this time and now she doesn't want to do anything about it. “It's okay, I should have known you were all feathers and no fur.” He goes back inside leaving Lil looking dumbstruck.
Jack has organized to meet Lori to tell her that he's ashamed it's taken him so long to realise his mistakes, and that he loves her. He can feel it and he wants to make a go of it with her and Maddy. Lori shushes him and they kiss.
Lyn bumps into Lil and scares the life out of her. Lil sheepishly tells her that Allan hit on her, but she set him straight. Sky walks by and says hello but looks suspicious when the two women act strangely. Lyn tells Lil that she's done nothing wrong and to try and forget about the whole thing.
Harold is asking Karl how Libby went with the promotion but it's obvious that Karl hasn't spoken to her in a while and he looks uncomfortable.
Lori and Jack are basking in their rekindled love and Maddy is having celebratory hiccups for the occasion. Jack says they'll have a 3-bedroom house. Lori brings the mood down a bit and says they'll have to let Connor know what's going on. Jack suggests they both tell him, but Lori thinks it would be better coming from just her. Harold comes over to coo at Maddy while Lori and Jack share a schmoopy look.
Lori's happy mood is lost when her and Connor have an argument over the new living arrangements. He's happy that she's not going back to New Zealand, but not so happy that she's moving in with Jack. Stu picks a great time to interrupt and inform them that no one remembers selling Toadie anything from his credit card statements. Lori chooses that time to take Maddy and leave. Connor looks at Stu in annoyance, and Stu realises his not so impeccable timing. “Oh, did I interrupt? Sorry!”
Jack is telling the happy news to Lyn but not getting the reaction he'd hoped for. Lyn wonders why he wants all the responsibility of being a step-parent at the age of 20. Lori comes in the open door with Maddy, crying. She says that Connor didn't take the news very well which makes Jack annoyed. He says that Connor shouldn't have the right to come near them if he's going to upset Lori. Lyn doesn't look too impressed.
David thinks Serena has been out with Scott again and yells at her. She snaps back and says he has no idea what's going on behind his back, but then feels bad and gives her dad a hug, saying she loves him. David looks pleased, “I love you too!… Does this mean I was right?” Sky swoops in and saves Serena by saying they'll go and sit outside for a while.
Outside of the Bishops
Serena tells Sky that David caught her with Scott that morning, but that's the least of her worries at the moment. Lil drives up the driveway and Serena sarcastically asks her if she's had a good day. Sky whispers to Serena that she sprung Lil and Lyn gossiping earlier, “something is definitely going down.” “Not yet it hasn't,” says Serena, “but it's about to.”
Lil comes in to chat with David (after classily tripping through the door) and seems extra “kissy” with him. She asks him if he knows why Serena gave him the evil eye as she walked in, but he has no idea. He tells Lil he found her at Scott's earlier covered in fruit, just as his mobile rings. “Fruit? What kind of fruit?!” He tells her it was just a smoothie. The call was from Tim, he wants to see David in the office ASAP.
David leaves as Serena comes in. Lil warns her that she shouldn't be making contact with Scott against her father's wishes, “especially contact that involves fruit!” Serena yells that she's such a hypocrite. “If anyone knows about contact it's you.”
Horsham & District Hospital
Rocco walks through the hospital corridors and steps on a child's toy. Lo and behold, he's stepped on a toy that Ben Kennedy Kirk is playing with. Rocco apologises to Libby and keeps walking.
Serena informs Lil that she heard every word that guy was saying to her and she is disgusted. Lil tries to tell her that nothing is going on. “That's not what it sounded like to me,” Serena spits.
David finds Karl in the pub and happily tells him he just scored some concert tickets for The Who. His law firm helped out the concert caterers and they paid them in tickets. Karl isn't overly rapt though, and sulks that he thought he'd be going with Susan. “Don't worry about that, mate!” says David. “From where they're sitting all they'll see is our bald spots! Well… yours.” (Off Karl's look) “We're practically in the front row!” Karl has a whinge about how being single was supposed to be a new phase in his life.
Serena and Lil are still at each other's throats. Serena says that Lil must have got a few tips from Izzy and now she's having a “fling” with her self-defense teacher. Lil tells her that it's all a big misunderstanding and that she'd never do that to David. Serena wants to know if she's going to tell him and Lil spouts some nonsense that if she did he'd jump to the same silly conclusion she did. “That's the stupidest reason I've ever heard!” Serena shouts incredulously. Lil quietly agrees, but pleads with her not to tell her father.
Police training oval
Stu and his police trainee cohorts are running around in circles, tip-toeing in and out of tyres while Snr. Const. Steiger calls out helpful platitudes such as, “Come on Parker, my nana runs faster than that!”
Fast forward to the police academy gang doing millions of push-ups. Steiger presses one person's back down asking them if they're doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. He gets them to hold a push-up midway and says for them not to go soft in the mind. Stu goes all tough guy and mutters under his breath, “You're going down, Rocco.”
Lori and Jack are discussing places to live. Lyn suggest they stay with her for awhile whilst they find their feet, but they just want to get out there. Jack gets up to answer the door. It's Connor wanting a word with Lori. Jack tries to get him to leave but Lori says it's okay. Lyn comes over to get Jack and take him out the back with Maddy so the other two can chat.
Connor says he's sorry about before and he knows he doesn't have the right to dictate who she does and doesn't see. He also says he values their friendship, “and after everything we've been through I'd hate to lose it.” Lori smiles and agrees. She says they should sort some stuff out.
Police Training Oval
Steiger says that Stu did well towards the end but wonders if something is distracting him. Stu tells him that his best mate is missing. Steiger says he'd wondered when this would come up. He knows about Rocco and says sometimes it's better to let these things go. “Sometimes it's a good thing for a cop to be obsessive, sometimes it can be dangerous. You understand?” Stu looks contemplative.
Horsham & District Hospital
Libby and Ben walk by Rocco and she asks if he's okay. He says he's just worried about someone in the hospital. They get to chatting and Lib tells him that they're just calling by the hospital on their way back to Melbourne because Ben had a tummy bug. She's going back home to see her mum.
Karl is still whining to David about his single life and how he thought he'd be having a better time than this. “What do they call the crisis after the mid-life crisis?” “Death.” “Great!” David tries to rev him up and get him excited about something. “You could travel, you could write more songs! No, don't do that. Ahh! You could go back to Uni!” Karl scoffs at first but then says he's always wanted to know more about Roman Architecture. David says that the only other thing he'll need to know are Monty Python routines. Karl happily starts to raffle off a couple of Python-isms while David looks confused and kind of like he wished he hadn't have said that.
Sky rushes over to do one of those dive bomb things – nearly landing on Serena's head in the process while she's swimming laps. Serena is angry at first and says she just needs some “me time” but Sky wants to know what's wrong. Serena tells her that Lil's having an affair and she doesn't know if she should tell her dad or not. Sky says she has to.
Harold and Lori have a chat. He's pleased that her and Jack look to be back on track. She tells him about their plans and that he's welcome to come by anytime and have a swim (they were talking about getting a house near the beach).
Lyn comes in and Lori thanks her for being so understanding about everything. Lyn doesn't look too happy though. She fluffs around a bit and then finally says to Lori that she doesn't think Jack is the commitment type. She says she loves her son and knows his intentions are good, but she's scared. “I'm scared what might happen to you and Maddy when Jack gets tired of being a father.” Lori looks worried but half-heartedly says he wouldn't do that to her again. “I love my son more than life itself, but I can't sit by and watch you make the same mistake again.” They're both looking mighty upset.
