Lisa tells Summer that Susan is going to pay for embarrassing her in front of her friends.
Susan sees Karl feeding Izzy.
Gus tells Steph and Max that the next day is his birthday and he wants them to join them for lunch. Steph says she can't because she's got an appointment with her oncologist, but says he can meet him for an early lunch but will have to bail early to take Steph.
Susan is over at Lyn's place and Lyn and Valda are trying to make her feel better. Lyn tries to get her to direct her anger at Karl and not herself, whereas Valda goes one step further, encouraging her to tell Karl and Izzy what she thinks of them both. Susan says she will but Lyn tries to get her to wait until she has “simmered down” but Susan won't hear any of it and leaves.
Lisa and Summer are walking to Susan's front door whilst Lisa makes up excuses for why Susan shouldn't be told it was her. Summer then spot Susan walking to her car and runs up to her, but Susan doesn't hear her and drives off.
Summer has arrived at Lyn's place and asks for Susan's mobile number. She tries to explain the flower mistake, but neither Lyn not Valda seem to grasp the idea of revenge immediately.
Karl and Izzy cheer at something on the television before he checks the TV guide to see whether the rest of the series would be on as well, which it is. Izzy then says that it looks like he'll have to give up his PJ's and bed again, but Karl looks coyly at her and says, “what if I don't want to?” Izzy tells him she's sure they can come to some sort of agreement.
Meanwhile Susan has just arrived at Karl's place and her mobile phones is ringing, she looks to see who it is (Lyn) before turning it off and knocking the door.
SUSAN: And deluded. Did you really think you'd get away with this?
KARL: Get away with what?
SUSAN: Flowers for me and cosey little dinners for her at the same time.
KARL: I did not send you these.
SUSAN: Of course you're going to say that with her in the room. And you! You told me there was nothing going on and I believed you well…
IZZY: No, Susan you've got the wrong…
SUSAN: I know exactly what's going on, so you had better stay well out of my sight. Both of you.
Susan leaves. Izzy puts her shoes on and leaves too, saying she “can't handle this.”
Karl finds Izzy in the pub and he apologises for tonight. Izzy tells him that she likes him but tells him that they can only just be friends. His face kind of falls. Max and Gus watches them.
Harold goes on a rant when the things he wants are not available. He then rants on about privacy but by the time he's finished, he is alone and has some privacy.
Gus walks in with breakfast goodies. When he asked for a birthday kiss from Izzy, Gus gets a muffin instead. After Izzy leaves Max comes in and Summer starts telling them about what Lisa did. Gus suggests she keep quiet, but Max tells her to go and talk to Susan.
Susan is getting ready for school, when Summer arrives. Summer tells her about Lisa and Susan seems incredibly shocked to find out the truth.
Lyn tells Susan she shouldn't be worried, that Karl deserves everything she said to him last night. Lyn stats going into a rant about how Karl must be mad for having that woman at his place, but stops to look around and make sure Izzy isn't there. Susan tells she made a fool of herself. Oscar then starts crying and Harold rather unkindly tells Lyn to take Oscar outside.
Susan goes to Karl's surgery and tells him that she's sorry, but rather than being a bit nicer, Karl behaves like a child and says he could've told her that she was wrong last night if she'd let him. Susan doesn't take too kindly to his words and they start arguing and eventually Susan leaves, telling him to act his age.
Valda is telling Harold about what the Scully kids are up to, which reminds him of the incident earlier with Lyn and Ozzy. He asks her to give Lyn a cake or something as an apology. Valda is appalled by his behaviour. Lil and David then walk in for their lunch and before Harold can apologise for this morning, David tells him that his taking the rest of the family out to dinner so he can have some time to himself. Harold is not happy and storms off. Harold asks to have a word with her in private.
Gus and Max clear the air about their past and Gus tells him what he wants, which is “a family that will love me the way yours do.”
Harold asks Valda what he was like before his stroke and Valda tells him about his old ways, good and bad.
David and Lil are talking about how living with Harold is like living with a hand grenade. Harold then walks in carrying a six pack and says he hopes they can talk. He tells them he wants to take action to change himself to the man he used to be.
Max says has to leave now, but Gus convinces him to stay for another beer and a game of pool. Max agrees and goes off to set up the pool table. Meanwhile, Gus holds a tablet in his hand and looks at it then Max. Eventually he walks over to Max and gives him the beer. They toast to Steph and Gus watches Max as he drinks his drink.
