Rocco asks Lou for help regarding his daughter Carmella.
Rocco warns Connor to keep his hands off his daughter.
Serena is spotted by a photographer at a night club who asks for a photo. He asks if she's a model, but when he hears that she isn't he tells her she should be.
Serena and Sky arrive, Serena is on her mobile, she hangs up and tells Sky that the photographer wants to see her now. Sky warns her to make sure he's genuine. Serena reminds her that she's doing it to help her parents and comments that she's jealous. Serena tells Sky that she wouldn't turn it down if she was in the same position and if she was pretty. Sky says she doesn't want to pose for a teen mag, but she'll come with Serena to keep an eye out. Serena doesn't like the idea but agrees. Boyd and his cricket mates arrive, Sky ignores him telling Serena she's letting him stew for a while.
Joe opens the door to David and Liljana who have come over to invite the Scully's to join in their street Christmas decorations. Liljana gives Lyn the Serbian dish that she brought over. Joe begins to look at it quite keenly till Liljana tells them it's made from pig's trotters. Lyn offers to put it in the fridge till later, Liljana follows her to the kitchen. David explains to Joe how everyone in their street in Perth used to decorate the outside of their homes. Joe worries about the cost and comments how they like to keep Christmas about Jesus. He asks David about the building progress of his house. David tells him that the builders pulled out on him. Joe says he'll check it out for him. In the kitchen, Lyn asks Liljana about their Christmas. Liljana explains that the Serbian Christmas isn't till Jan 7th so they celebrate it twice. Lyn drops a comment about the cost of Christmas. Liljana agrees that she knows what she means.
Serena introduces Sky to Chris, the photographer. He comments on her name, saying it's different. Serena tells him that Sky's mother was a hippy. he asks if she got over it, but Sky tells him she's dead. Chris shows Serena a collection of dresses telling her that they are her outfits for the shoot. While Serena looks over the dresses, Sky questions Chris on his career. He comments that they are very different for cousins.
Rocco brings Carmella to the pub and tells Lou to make sure she works. Trixie whispers to Lou asking if Carmella will actually do any work. Rocco offers to get Lou some Italian wines after taking a look at the wine list. Lou agrees and Rocco leaves. Carmalla interrupts Connor reading a letter from Nina. She asks if she was a girlfriend of his but he says no.
Chris starts taking shots of Serena in various dresses. Sky watches on but continues to get in the way. Afterwards Chris congratulates Serena telling her how natural she is.
Joe catches up with Lyn and Oscar after visiting David's builder. he tells Lyn that the builder was right on schedule and that it was David who stopped it as he had no money, Lyn says it makes sense as it fits with Liljana telling her she knew of their situation. David and Liljana arrive and Liljana starts telling Lyn of her plans to put Serbian dishes on the menu. Joe stands up and informs David that he spoke to the builder and that it's not fair on the builder's reputation for clients to say their running behind when they've really stopped the job.
Chris tells Serena that she really does have the potential to become a supermodel. He tells her he'll show the shots around to a few magazines to see if they can get a contract arranged. He gives her $200. On leaving Sky asks Serena how she's going to get the money to her parents. Serena says she has a plan.
Watching Lyn change Oscar brings back memories for Liljana. She tells Lyn it was really hard to take her out of Eden Hills Grammar, which causes Lyn to realise the extent of the Bishops debt. Lyn says she's sorry to hear it, but Liljana apologieses for going on about it. Lyn agrees that everyone wants some pride. On getting Oscars bottle out of the fridge, Liljana notices that they haven't tried her dish yet. Lyn says she'll try it then and there and on doing so realises that she really likes it. Liljana's face lights up when Lyn goes for a second spoonful.
Serena tells Sky she'll put the money into her mum's old coat to make it look like it was money that they'd forgotten about. Sky asks if it'll work. Serena says it will, but she'll need another plan if she starts earning more. Sky laughs. Serena says it could become a career for her if Chris gets some interest from magazines. Boyd arrives telling them of the cricket match, he suggests that they should come and watch. Sky says no, but Serena says she will. Boyd thanks her and heads over to the table where the rest of the team are sitting.
Rocco catches Connor chasing Carmella after she hit him with a cleaning mop. Rocco finds Lou in his office and offers him a price on the wine. Lou tries to come up with an excuse but fails to get one past Rocco, who asks to borrow 'Irish'. Lou says he can take all the time he needs.
Joe arrives into the kitchen from the garden to find Lyn and Liljana talking. Lyn tells Joe that she's been telling Liljana of their financial difficulties and how they got though. Joe doesn't like the idea, but Lyn tells him it's not always been a bed of roses. Joe returns to mending the lawnmower, Lyn comments on men's pride, Liljana agrees saying she feels a bit ashamed about it too. Lyn suggests a street party as a way of clearing the air between the neighbours. Liljana agrees.
Serena and Boyd arrive back after the cricket, Serena tells Boyd of her modelling gig, he says it's great, but Sky comments that it's better to use your head rather than your body. Boyd questions where she was during the match. Serena too comments that the match was great. Sky says he was glad she wasn't cheering a bunch of airheads. Boyd tells Sky he just wants to have normal friends and leaves, apologising to Serena on the way.
Joe is about to mow the lawns but sees David posting a "Santa stop here" sign in the front flower bed. Joe comments that the women are inside talking about their feelings. David agrees that its good for them to get it off their chest as it's hard when they want to talk to them, who just hide theirs. Joe agrees. David appologises about lying earlier, Joe says its no worries and that he often gets overprotective about the building trade. He offers David some help with the decorations, but they struggle to work together.
Rocco informs Connor to stay in the car. Connor attention is turned to Rocco's photo of his daughter he has in his open wallet that he's left on the seat. Connor turns to look out the window again and is shocked to see Rocco beating a guy into order. Rocco returns to the car and tells Connor to start loading. He does so immediately.
Liljana tells the family of Lyn's street party idea. Serena is happy about it but David isn't keen on the idea of everyone knowing thier financial difficulty. Liljana persuades him around saying it'll be a good chance to set everyone straight. David says he'll ring the council about closing the street, but Liljana tells him not to bother. Sky asks who's coming and Liljana tells her the plan is for everyone to come, so they need to go shopping. Serena goes to get a coat for her mother. Liljana puts it on and discovers the $200. Serena asks if they can put it towards Christmas, David agrees they'll use it to bring Liljana's mother over.
Trixie receives a call from Nina telling her of her wishes, but it's cut short by Nina being on a pay phone. Lou asks how she is, but Trixie says she's worried about her being alone in India. Lou reminds her of Nick, but Trixie says it doesn't help her to relax any more. Rocco arrives with the Italian wines for Lou, Lou goes to open the safe, but Trixie stays and questions Rocco's source. Rocco offers Carmella a lift home but she says she'll walk. He pays Connor and offers him some more work, but Connor says he'll be returning to Ireland soon. Rocco goes to find Lou, and Carmella confronts Connor about returning to Ireland. She says she'll be going to Italy soon and that they could meet half way, suggesting France. Connor tries to avoid the subject but Carmella asks if he's doing anything that night. She says she'll tell her father she's gone to Betty's and asks if they're friends. Connor says their more like co-workers. She asks him out on a date, unaware that her father is watching them.
