Recap
- Stuart learns about the life form of yoga, though Connor isn't interested!
- Joe finds Steph and Jack arguing, and asks what's going on.
Scully Driveway
Steph tells Joe that she was supposed to have given Jack a message and it turns out that it was pretty important. He agrees that he did over-react, but they agree to let it rest. Joe tells them that since their mother's had a break through, they're supposed to be having a party. Jack follows Joe inside. Steph gets on her motorbike, and spots Max and Summer in the Hoyland driveway. She drives past them.
Number 30
Kaveesha is taking Connor and Stuart through a meditation whilst lying on the floor. Connor isn't very focused and keeps fidgeting. He takes the opportunity to make a run for it when Kaveesha goes to get heat packs for their eyes. Stuart tells him to stick around if he wants him to clean the bathroom for the next month.
Number 26
Jack tells Joe that he and Steph's little argument has been sorted out, but Joe tells him that he knows he's not telling the truth. He tells him that he doesn't like secrets in the family, and asks if Steph is having trouble with Max. Jack is saved by Summer knocking on the door, reminding him of the football team meeting. Jack says he'll come with her now.
Number 30
Kaveesha leaves and Stuart begins to go on about how he's really enjoying and feeling the yoga now. Connor tells him that he should have hit him for two months cleaning as his love for yoga will only last as long as his love for Kaveesha. Stuart goes to clean the bathroom.
Number 32
Jack is conducting the football meeting, he's going to reshuffle the pack to encourage more passing of the ball. Summer reminds him that Lisa and her 'friends' aren't present due to the meeting being at her place. Jack reminds them that the game of football is all about having fun and working as a team, he informs them that it's most likely their attitude to one another that isn't allowing them to win.
Coffee Shop
Joe catches Steph grabbing a take-away and notes that he's come to do the same thing. He reminds him of Jacks last match of the season, and asks her to come. She makes a petty excuse, which Joe doesn't approve of, causing him to ask if Max is still causing trouble for her. He tells her break-ups happen all the time and she has to move on. She tells him she'll try and get to the footie. Joe tells her it's not good enough and as a family they should be supporting one another.
JOE: You're a Scully, get your chin up.
Number 30
Connor wakes to find Stuart 'saluting the sun'. He offers him coffee but Stuart tells him caffeine is a toxin. Kaveesha calls and invites them to a 'One Real World Festival', but Connor doesn't want to go. Stuart tells him that he's agreed both of them will come. Connor suggests selling his tickets, but Stuart offers to do backyard poo cleaning duty.
CONNOR: 8 weeks poo duty and I only have to stay for an hour. Take it or leave it.
He takes it!
One Real World Festival - Community Hall
Stuart tries to get Connor interested in the festival, but it appears Tammy hasn't been able to make it, so he tries to make a leave. Kaveesha goes to get a programme to try to interest him. Stuart tells him the poo cleaning deal will be off if he leaves as he agreed to an hour, but Connor is more interested in the afternoon of extreme sports that he had planned on the TV. He doesn't realise Kaveesha has returned and tells Stuart that the only reason he is here is to 'tickle Kaveesha's shakra'. Kaveesha isn't impressed and walks away leaving them standing in the middle of the hall.
Random School Playing Field
Jack is giving the team a pre-match talk. He tells them to stay defensive for the first half, and then they'll move into the attacking during the second half. Mrs Jefferies keeps piping up about how it would be much better if Lisa was on the field, but Jack reminds her that the team positions were decided at the meeting the night before. Max tells him to keep his mind on the job. As Jack continues his talk, Steph arrives on her motorbike, but on seeing Max, turns and leaves. Joe watches as she drives away.
One Real World Festival - Community Hall
Stuart finds Kaveesha and apologises for what happened. He explains how at first he pretended to like yoga so that he could be with her, but he's grown to like it. She asks about Connor and Tammy. He explains how he thought they could work together as friends but realises now that it did not work out. She tells him that the most important thing in a relationship to her is trust. She tells him that they should go their separate ways as she needs some time to think, and he needs to grow up!
Random School Playing Field
The game is in play, and is pretty even. Summer gets a shot at goal but misses. Mrs Jeffries continues to make comments to Jack about how Lisa should be on the field, so he passes the clipboard to her and walks off. She passes it on to Max who takes over with the coaching. As it nears the end he sends Lisa onto the field, but tells her it'll only work if they play as a team. The game continues with Summer collecting the ball and dribbling it up the field, she passes it to Lisa in the centre, who scores allowing them to win the game, they celebrate.
Lassiters Car Park
Stuart's car has broken down, and while he waits for the spare part to arrive a stranger approaches him. He asks if he can do anything to help, and comments how he looks a bit too upset for it to be just a car motor letting him down. Stuart explains how he's just been dumped, so the man gives him a card 'Jonathon Verne - Life Mechanics'. He tells him to come along to the meeting later, if his car is still giving him trouble.
Long Winding Road Somewhere in the Aussie Outback: Steph drives along on her motorbike at top speed.
Number 32
Summer is playing football around the lounge, but Max calls full time. Lisa arrives at the door, and Summer is pleased to see her. They congratulate each other on the match, and Summer asks if she can stay for dinner. Max agrees. Lisa tells her she brought her Christina Aguilera CD with her so they can make up dances. Max subtly leaves.
One Real World Festival - Community Hall
Jonathon Verne, the life mechanics leader is giving a motivational talk about how they are the engine of their own lives, and it is only themselves who can make the change. Stuart creeps in half way through and Jonathon throws a quote at him about his car troubles, relating it to the troubles they have as people. He finishes his talk and the audience applauds.
Long Winding Road Somewhere in the Aussie Outback
Steph continues driving along the road, when she comes across an up turned car at a bend. She jumps off her bike and goes to have a look. There is a lady in the car.
Number 26
Joe hangs up the phone as Jack walks in. He asks where he's been, as he took off so quick from the football, but Jack tells him he just needed a break. Joe informs him that his team one, but asks to know the truth about what's going on. Jack denies it, but Joe instructs him to sit down, telling him he won't go anywhere until he tells the truth.
Long Winding Road Somewhere in the Aussie Outback
Steph calls for an ambulance and reassures the lady that they will come soon. The lady tells Steph that she doesn't want to die, but Steph sits with her, holding her hand, telling her she's not going to die.
