Max asking Steph to give up her bike and move in.
Libby and Taj kissing.
Max is walking Steph to the front door and says he's glad she stayed over. She says she is too but is sorry that she wasn't good company. Max says it's ok and he hugs her. Max asks Steph if she's still going to move in today. Steph says she hasn't really thought about it but she probably shouldn't seeing as Toadie's next door. Steph asks why this had to happen to Dee. Max hugs her saying that he's learnt there's nothing certain in life. Boyd and Summer begin arguing in another room and Max tells them to settle down.
MAX: Life goes on, hey?
STEPH: Thank goodness.
Max hugs her and leaves.
Libby leaves Taj's place quietly. As she's walking down the steps Taj comes out and asks Libby if she wants breakfast. Lib says she has to get home as Ben will be getting up soon. Taj asks her if they can meet for coffee before school. Libby says she can't, she has to prepare for class. Libby turns to leave and Taj asks for “one last kiss”. Libby turns and runs off.
Max is in the lounge telling Boyd and Summer about what happened to Dee.
BOYD: But they were so happy.
SUMMER: Why does God let bad things happen to good people?
Max replies that it's all part of a greater plan. Boyd wants to know “what plan?”. Summer wonders if Steph is still moving in today. Max says probably not for a while, Dee was a friend of hers and she's upset.
Libby comes over to talk to Steph before she goes to school. Libby asks what all the boxes are for. Steph says she moving in with Max today. She wasn't going to because she felt bad about getting on with her life after what had happened but she realised that life is short and that Max wants her to be apart of his life. Steph said if Dee was here she's be saying “Go for it girl!"
Lou walks up to Harold with an Afro Harold poster. The poster says that Afro Harold will be appearing for Uni students at the pub tonight. Harold says that it was booked for the wedding and he can't cancel at the last minute. Lou pleads with him not to do it, to think of Toadie.
Max opens the door and Steph hands him a box filled with her stuff commenting that her arms are about to drop off. Max says she should have called and he would have helped her. Steph says she's not going to lose her independence just because she's moving in. Max smiles.
Boyd comes into the lounge and asks if she needs some help. Max says no, she's too independent. Steph says because he asked so nicely, her bag is in the driveway. Boyd goes out to get it. Max tells Steph he didn't think she was coming over so he told Lou he'd work at the pub but he'll cancel. Steph says not to but Max asks her if she wants to be alone, she says no. Boyd offers to walk Summer to school so Max can stay with Steph.
Summer comes in and asks what Steph's doing here. Steph says she's moving in Summer hugs her. Max tells Summer to get ready for school and he tells Steph to follow him. She follows him outside. Max picks her up carries her over the threshold and says “Welcome home Steph Scully”.
Jack and Taj are sitting next to each other. Taj is clicking his pen and staring at the door. Jack tells him to stop being so obvious he knows he's hot for Libby. Libby walks in as Jack is teasing Taj.
Max and Steph are lying on the couch. Steph says they've made such a mess and they should really be putting her stuff away. Max says they have all day. Steph asks Max if she can ‘bagsy' the window side of the bed because she's a hot sleeper. Max goes to answer the knock at the door and come back with a box of flowers and a bottle of champagne. Steph says “for me.” Max says she's lucky. Steph hugs Max.
STEPH: I am, for having the most romantic, wonderful man.
Max says she's better introduce him because they're not from him. Steph reads the card and Max asks what's wrong. Steph replies it's from Dee. “Just to let you know that Toadie and I are thinking of you on your big day as you move in together.”
Libby is trying to teach and Jack is still teasing Taj. Libby turns around and yells at Taj saying if you don't have respect for me, think about the other students who are here to learn.
Harold tells Lou that he's right but Afro Harold won't be appearing but Harold Bishop will be. He's going to talk to the Uni Students. Lou tells him to stop being so silly. Nina comes into the Coffee Shop and Lou asks her to be on standby tonight.
Max picks up a photo of Claire and Boyd and puts it in the draw. Steph catches him and asks him why he put it away. He says she wants this to feel like her home. Steph tells him that Claire is Summer and Boyd's mum and that she is a part of the family too. Steph explains that she would never try to and could never replace Claire. The photo should stay as Claire loved Max as much as she does.
Libby is in the classroom. Taj comes in saying he was waiting for her by her car. Libby tells him off for being so obvious and tells him that last night was a mistake. Dee died and she was missing Drew. She broke the teacher/student relationship she will probably have to resign and that it will never happen again. Taj says that's what she said the first time they kissed and he doesn't believe his time either.
Harold is in the office and Lou comes in saying it's not to late to back out.
Max, Steph, Boyd and Summer are in the lounge getting ready to eat the pizza they have for dinner. Max toasts their new houseguest. Steph says it's not like they haven't eaten pizza before. Max does another toast “To the newest member of our family” they clink their glasses and Boyd burps. Max tells him off and Steph asks if burping isn't allowed at the table because she holds the record at home. Boyd asks her to do a demonstration. Boyd and Steph burp and they all laugh.
Harold is on stage and the students are booing him.
Taj is sitting at a table. Jack and Nina ask him if he wants to come to the pub to see Nina stand in for Afro Harold. Taj says no. Jack teases him about Libby. Taj storms off thanking him for embarrassing him in front of his ex-girlfriend.
Lou tells Harold if he can't control the crowd he's taking him off and putting Nina on. Harold has one more go and tells them about Toadie and Dee. The students are quiet and Harold makes a toast “to those taken too soon."
