Lyn is overjoyed at Michelle's news. Michelle tells Lyn she is concerned about everything that is going on at home. Lyn tells Michelle to grab the opportunity, but suggests she thinks about it a little first but Michelle says that they need an answer by tomorrow. Valda walks in with shopping bags a plenty, even though she says she knows she needs to tighten her belt and asks what they are talking about.
Darcy is on the phone to Dee in Tasmania, initially he enquires after her Gran, but then turns the conversation around to ask her if she has given any thought to them. Toadie walks in and Darcy quickly ends the conversation to Dee. Toadie buys Darcy a drink; he is in a good mood after winning a case.
Toadie asks Darcy if he has heard from Dee, he lies and says no. Darcy then looks very uncomfortable when Toadie says he might take a bottle of champagne to celebrate his win with Dee.

Lou is asking Harold if he is still full up from Gino's special Moroccan blend. Lou continues quizzing Harold on his and Gino's current living arrangements.
Valda is asking Lyn about Lori. Lyn says Lori is used to being dependant, Valda replies by saying Lori will have to learn to accept some help. Valda asks Lyn what Susan said about Michelle's studies and Lyn explains Susan doesn't think it will be a problem, and that she will soon catch up. They continue discussing Michelle's trip. Valda tells Lyn how marvellous she is for always putting her family first. Lyn says they have had their up's and down's and Valda tells Lyn she wouldn't swap her for the world, and gives her a big hug.
Darcy and Toadie are multi-tasking by eating and discussing Dee. Darcy sets about talking Toadie out of visiting Dee. Darcy tells Toadie the timing isn't quite right, and Dee needs time to clear her head, Toadie agrees to wait until Dee returns.

Taj and Tahnee are chatting about Taj's new job at Lassiter's. Tahnee announces she is short of cash and Taj mentions Lassiter's are looking for restaurant staff and he could use his influence to get her a job, so they go off to fill in an application form.
Lou is on the phone asking Connor where he is when Connor then walks in behind him. Connor tells Lou he has been having trouble trying to pass off the ‘Rusty piece of barbed wire' as no-one thought it was genuine, so Lou replies that he will need to think of something else. Lou leaves telling Connor to meet him later in the pub.
Connor orders a coffee from Harold when Michelle walks in behind him and offers to buy that coffee she owes him.
Valda is on the phone trying to get hold of Andreas. Lyn asks if she thinks she will ever get her money back but Valda is however is more concerned about her beloved dogs being returned to her. Valda tells Lyn it's all her own fault for falling for a young good looking chap. Valda then lets slip that she won't be making the same this time. Much to Lyn's surprise, Valda announces she has her eye on someone else and despite Lyn's best attempts to extract details, Valda won't reveal who it is.

Connor is trying to persuade Michelle to go to New York but Michelle is still expressing doubts. Michelle tries to get Connor to tell her to stay, but he says he won't. They discuss their past relationship, and he says she was his first love. Connor tells Michelle again to go, but she must bring him back a cheesy T-Shirt. Connor then receives a call from Lou telling him to get to the pub so he kisses Michelle on the head and leaves.
Darcy thanks Toadie for the meal when James approaches asking Darcy about tonight's poker game. Darcy tries to worm his way out of it, however a few choice words from James gets him to change his mind. Darcy tells James they can hold it at his apartment.
Lyn is painting Valda's toenails and Valda is considering changing her hairstyle too. Lyn quizzes Valda's desire to look younger as she tries to sneak more information about Valda's new mystery man but all she will reveal is he is in the pub a lot.

Taj and Tahnee are celebrating Tahnee's job at Lassiters but Taj discovers her first shift is alongside Nina. Taj tells her not to think about getting revenge on Nina. Tahnee promises she is a changed person and tells Taj to trust her.
Connor is telling Lou Michelle is going to New York. Connor tells Lou he will miss her, Lou reassures him by saying time heals. Valda walks in with some food for Lou, she tells Connor he will find some in the kitchen. Now she has him alone she asks if he notices anything about her and after some persuasion he notices her toenails. Valda then sets about encouraging Lou to change some things in the pub.
Lyn is dusting when Michelle walks in. Lyn asks if Michelle has seen Jack but she hasn't. Michelle asks Lyn if she thinks Jack and Lori will get back together but Lyn doesn't know. Michelle tells Lyn that Connor said she should go to America. Lyn says she has spoken to Joe, and he thinks it's a great opportunity too. Michelle then tells Lyn she has decided to go and Lyn then becomes all emotional, and gives Michelle a hug.
The poker game is in progress. Darcy looks a little stressed, the game isn't going his way. Darcy is given the opportunity to bow out, but he decides to play on.
Michelle and Lyn are celebrating and Valda comes over and tells Michelle she has made the right decision, she joins them at the table. Michelle goes over to see Connor. Lyn notices Valda is talking to Lou about changing the pub and Lyn tells Valda about her call from Joe. Michelle tells Connor she is definitely going, and thanks him for his advice. They both reminisce and agree they don't regret anything that happened between them.
The game is getting serious, only Darcy and James are left in the hand. Darcy reveals his hand - he has a full house, aces and kings. Darcy believes he has won. James reveals he has four of a kind, and Darcy has lost the game. Darcy looks shocked when he is told he owes James $60,000
