The robbery. Connor tells Michelle he won't get a visa for a year.
Michelle, Joe, Connor
Michelle talks to Tahnee about preparation for the interview. Tahnee poses questions which she answers for practice. She's still confident that Connor will try the lottery.
When she asks Joe to have lunch with them and help give her advice, he's still very down and tells her to ask someone who knows more about overseas exchange programmes.
Lyn goes to talk to Joe, who's in the garage again. He won't come in but says he's planning to make it into a sort of den for himself, so he has his own space.
Michelle is getting the forms ready for Connor to apply for the green card lottery. He's not eligible because he didn't finish High School. He doesn't seem very concerned that they'll be separated for a year, then promises to visit her as often as possible.
Lyn interrupts to ask Michelle if she has really talked to Joe as what she said really hurt him deeply.
Joe asks Connor about Michelle. He's confident and happy about it because he thinks it will be good for her. He reminds Joe he felt right at the start he wasn't good enough for her, so he's always been sort of prepared to lose her.
Michelle asks Joe, assuming he'll say everything's OK between them, but he doesn't, still stays very cool.
The following morning she tackles him again and says she doesn't believe everything's OK. She knows he's shutting her out, but asks if he can't be happy for her. He eventually points out that he can't brush off the things she said because they hurt so deeply. He feels she's ashamed of him and goes on to tell her she can't expect to have these outbursts and not hurt people. He says he's happy for her but is still very down when he leaves for the garage again.
Toadie talks to Susan about Kev being missing. His mother's frantic, but they've talked her out of contacting the police yet. He says he's worried Stuart will move out if she stays with him much longer.
He goes on air to repeat the offer of a prize to find out who the 'diva' of the unknown song is. Michelle, Nina, Tahnee and Connor listen. Tahnee loves the song and rings in to say she's the singer, as it seems the real person won't own up. She gives the name Miss T and promises to go into Uni FM to sing it for him the following day. She thinks it funny that he believes her and to the others' surprise, plans to go through with it. Nina leaves, uncomfortable about the whole thing, so Connor follows her out to persuade her to stop Tahnee doing it. She reminds him he promised not to let on it was her and so he should clean up the mess he's caused. Michelle remarks to Tahnee that the two have been spending a lot of time together but Tahnee reassures her that he's faithful to her.
Nina asks Toadie about people's reactions to the song. He raves and says some people have really responded emotionally.
The following day, Toadie introduces Tahnee on air in front of a small crowd. won't believe either that she'll go through with singing it live. Connor and Nina listen in the Coffee Shop, incredulous that she'll actually go through with it..
Tahnee has started her acceptance speech when Connor bursts in with Nina in tow. He says it's not fair-Nina wrote the song, not Tahnee. Toadie says he wants to hear it from the horse's mouth-if it's Nina's, will she get up and sing it for them?
Chloe comes in to work, still shaken but insisting she's OK. Darcy offers to go round and have some champagne with her, but she refuses.
Darcy wants to help Chloe by spending time with her, but she continues to brush him off. He asks Susan if she saw how Chloe couldn't get rid of him fast enough, but she replies that she saw someone who was trying to conceal her true feelings.
Chloe has been persuaded by Darcy to meet him. She stops him when he starts to say he wants to know where it might go. She says she feels both have now got out of it what they wanted and it's time to let go.
