Steph questioning Marc if eloping is just revenge on his parents.
Marc reassuring her that he still wants to marry her and they just need to find the best way.
Susan discovering her sister is on her way to Erinsborough.
Ramsay Street
Joe, Karl and Rosie start the move of Lou's belongings from No. 22 to No. 24. Joe suddenly stops when he sees a taxi pull up and Elly's mum Liz gets out and waves to Karl. He then leaves Joe to carry the heavy box inside while he goes to help Liz with her luggage.
No. 26
Marc drops by with some pastries and Lyn asks if he is really committed to Steph because it would be kinder to break it off now but he reassures her that he wants to marry Steph. A still sleepy Steph makes her way through to the kitchen surprised to see Marc. Lyn makes herself scarce and Steph asks if there is still a wedding to plan. Again, he assures her that the wedding is on and that he'll try his best with his parents.
No. 28
Karl struggles into the house with Liz's luggage and a few seconds later Liz appears and hugs her daughter and immediately Elly notices something different - he mother is pregnant!
No. 22
Rosie, Lyn and Joe begin to pack up the list of things Lou wants taken to No. 24 and Lyn tells Joe about Marc calling round and tells him that Marc is determined that the wedding goes ahead regardless of what his parents think. Both of them hope that Chloe and John come round before the wedding.
Lou arrives to supervise the packing and just about wants to take everything with him! Joe, having spotted the banter Rosie and Lou have been sharing, asks Lyn is there is anything going on. She replies that they are just good friends but Joe isn't so sure.
No. 28
Karl assures Elly that he didn't know she was pregnant either before Liz appears. Mother and daughter talk about the pregnancy and who the father is. Liz is over the moon at being pregnant and that the pregnancy is much easier this time unlike when she was carrying Elly. Liz also mentions that she is carrying a girl but doesn't want to say. Karl asks if the visit is a permanent one and she replies no, just temporary.
No. 26
Marc assures Steph that they don't have to elope to get married and she seems to thoroughly like that news from him and says that they will be the ones to compromise to please his parents.
No. 28
Liz brags completely about how good life in Sweden is to Elly and Karl and subtly hints that Elly isn't going to see how good it is. Having not picked up on her mum's comment, Elly asks how Lars (the baby's daddy) is looking forward to having a stepdaughter, which almost catches her out before she quickly says that he thinks it is wonderful. Elly has cottoned on this time though and says "really?" and asks her mum if he does know about her. "'Course he does," replies Liz but it sounds far from convincing.
No. 24
Lyn and Rosie are cleaning up the house for them before fitting Lou's belongings in. Harold briefly comes through the kitchen on the way to hang washing out, not exactly thrilled at seeing the 'junk' Lou has brought with them and asks them to distribute it subtly.
No. 22
Joe and Lou finish packing up No. 22 and Joe just about drops the box of valuable belongings he is carrying when he trips on something lying on the floor. Luckily for Lou, he manages to find a seat to fall into before any major damage is done.
No. 24
Rosie reassures Lyn when questioned that she likes Lou and Harold equally and goes through their traits but seems quite excited at being the one to save Lou's soul!
No. 26
Marc and Steph prepare some food for the hoards pleased not to have been the ones moving furniture. She teases him that she'll teach him how to ride a motorbike if he'll teach her culinary skills! The hoards arrive and tuck in. Lyn introduces Marc to Rosie and Lou & Harold are shocked but pleased to hear about the engagement. Lou mentions that Rosie is the minister in the church where Libby & Drew got married and Marc suggests that they get married there. Steph rules it out because Rosie is an Anglican minister but he doesn't understand, so Lyn says it is because they are Catholics.
Steph subtly takes Marc over to the breakfast bar and tells him that to get married in a non-Catholic church seriously matters to her mum when he questions her what difference does it make.
No. 28
Karl at last is alone with Liz and has a go at her for not telling Elly about her pregnancy (she is 6 months pregnant) and he fact she doesn't seem to give two hoots about Elly instead gushing about how good life is in Stockholm with Lars. He then questions her on how long she is here for, so he knows if Elly is leaving or is going to be abandoned in Erinsborough. Liz isn't exactly pleased to be hear the abandoned bit so Karl spells it out a bit clearer to her. He also tells her how hard it has been helping Elly since she arrived in Erinsborough and thinks that Elly deserves some straight answers from her.
Elly arrives home and the conversation goes dead, so she asks if they were speaking about her. Liz lies about what they were really talking about and instead starts to talk about the old days when they went skiing. Elly listens very inventively as she hears that Susan only went the once because she didn't like it and the other times it was just Karl and her mum.
No. 26
Steph comes off the phone from talking to Libby to go get the info Libby has about weddings from when they got married. Marc assures her he'll be able to cope being along when she leaves but he is only alone for a few seconds as when Steph goes out the front door, Flick comes in the back one. She is surprised to see him and enquires what he was doing and once he tells her, she tells him that there is no escaping now - he's tied to Ramsay Street.
Marc surprises Flick by thanking her for assessing his character last night. She brushes it off what she said but Marc tells her that she read him like a book and has put a lot of things into perspective for him. Flick then goes onto characterise him again and he wonders how she can do that and Flick innocently replies back that they are two of a kind.
No. 22
Rosie orders Harold to rest as he's struggling to keep going but is feeling guilty for not helping out more. Spotting Lou's comfy chair he decides to rest in it so he can be close if they have any problems. Lou isn't exactly pleased to see his friend in his chair.
No. 28
Liz is on the phone talking to Lars and Elly quietly creeps out of her room. As she listens to the conversation, Elly is shocked to find out that Lars is married.
No. 24
Harold snores away in Lou's chair as Rosie and Lou talk about what to get have for supper.
No. 26
Steph comes back from Libby's armed with wedding info. She mentions to Marc that she had to take a diverted route home but did happen to notice some nice flats in an area being developed. Joining Marc on the sofa, she asks Marc if they could go have a look and he seems somewhat surprised but goes along with just looking at it before saying that he needs to head to work. Marc asks what Steph will be up to while he is working and she tells him that she is going to visit the bank to see how they set up a joint bank account. This shocks Marc completely and Steph replies that is what happens when you get married. Marc stumbles for an answer and eventually comes up with "I suppose so" although he adds that he hadn't really thought about it. On the way out the door, he asks Steph if she *really* wants to open a joint account and Steph turns it into a joke, which he is mightily relieve about but as they hug goodbye you can see that Steph really did mean it.
Garage
Flick walks past the garage and spots a basketball lying on the ground and decides to shoot some hoops and as Leah Haywood's 'We think its love' starts up, Marc pulls up in his car and stops. Getting out, he takes the ball from her and the two of them play.
No. 28
Karl asks Liz if she's like some wine with their meal, she does so leaves to get some from the pub. Liz again takes the opportunity to talk about Sweden to Elly but when Liz mentions Lars, she is ready this time. Elly says that she is unlikely to ever meet Lars and why did Liz lie to her about him. Liz is playing dumb but Elly replies that she heard the phonecall to Lars and the fact he is married. She then asks her mum if she is having an affair but Liz doesn't answer that and instead chooses to say that Lars loves her. Liz is wondering why all the questions and Elly's change, so Elly asks her to answer one simple question - who is her real father?
