Recap
Libby is sure that she and Drew will receive their money back by the end of the week, but Drew isn't so sure.
Susan turns on the television to find Karl has linked it into CCTV on the dustbins. She watches as Karl talks to a lady by the bin.
Number 28
Susan watches as the lady puts a hand on Karl's shoulder, before Karl leaves and heads towards the drive. She quickly turns of the television set as he returns to the house. He comes inside and joins her for breakfast, informing her that Serena from the surgery was keen to get the keys early and start work.
Garage
Libby arrives in her VW bug, and Drew laughs at her as she tries to get out, commenting that pregnancy doesn't suit that car. He tells her the other car is fixed and so they swap keys. Drew tells her that his dad entered him for the Oakey Rodeo again, but Lib isn't sure if she could cope with him getting a broken leg with the baby on the way. As she climbs into the car, she feels a kick from the baby. Drew tells her to take care.
Number 26
Flick is busy making Tad and Paul some sandwiches, to keep their minds of the exam results! Joe comes through to wish them luck, and tells Lyn he's going to try and sort out the insurance policy at some point in the day as well. As he leaves, Susan arrives, she wishes the guys luck with their results as they head out to see if the post has arrived. She tells Paul he'll have done fine in English, as all they need is a pass. As the guys head out, Susan tells Lyn of Karl's new receptionist, and how it appears she already has a crush on the doctor!
Coffee Shop
Karl is impressed by Libby's first copy of her magazine and jokes about being the proud father when her name is splashed around New York. Libby comments on Karl's 'aroma', and Karl admits it's the new receptionist, Serena, spraying scents around the surgery. Libby wonders if the choice of spray is a sacking offence, and Karl agrees, though admits she's the most efficient at the job since Penny left.
Surgery
Karl arrives back to find Susan waiting in an empty waiting room. He asks if she's sick, but she tells him she was wondering if he wanted to have lunch with her. He mentions that he just had a bite to eat with Libby, so Susan tells him she'll see him at home, and heads off, leaving Karl a little confused.
Ramsay Street
Tad is sitting on the pavement fiddling with a camera, as Paul and Flick pass a football to one another. Zack and Michelle walk past and Tad asks if they'll take a picture of them. After the photo, Zack asks Michelle if she's going to come to the party, but she is unsure if she'll be allowed. He tells her to tell her parents she's going to a friend's as it's only half a lie, plus Tad'll be there DJing. He heads off and Michelle returns to see what the others are up to. Just as Flick tells her they're waiting for their results, the postie arrives.
Number 26
The guys walk in with their envelopes. Paul and Tad try to decide the best way of opening them, I find peeling back the flap and pulling the bit of paper out the envelope works best! Flick just sits and stares at hers.
TAD: Flick, it's less likely to explode if you loosen your grip on it!
They count to 3, before opening their results. 1, 2, 3
TAD: 79, you little beauty, I did OK! I did better than OK!
Yay for Tad!
PAUL: I got 41, and I passed English, so I guess I passed my VCE.
Tad congratulates him. But Flick still hasn't opened hers.
TAD: Flick, come on, it's like a band aid, the longer you leave it, the more painful it's going to be to rip it off.
He's got a point, but she's still not sure. Tad comments that they can't finish their school days until they get their results. Paul points out that he managed to do ok, so everyone must have passed. Flick, however, just sits looking at the envelope.
Coffee Shop
Joe is on the phone trying to get a credit company to loan him a grand. The company aren't listening so Joe begins to get a bit annoyed that he's caught the wrong end of an insurance company going 'belly up'. Over at another table, Drew is on the phone to Scotty, trying to get the money he owes them, back. He tries to explain that the situation has changed, but Scotty hangs up on him. At the same moment, Joe is also put on hold and the two catch eyes. They ask after each other, and both pretend that everything is fine, before returning to their individual aggravation.
Number 26
Tad and Paul continue to pester Flick about opening her results, telling her that they've shared theirs with her, so it's time for her to tell them hers. She tells them she'll tell them when she's opened them, but she's not ready to do it yet, and wants some space. As Flick pushes them out the door Lyn arrives. Tad wishes Lyn luck with getting Flick's results out of her.
MICHELLE: She's experiencing a little known syndrome called, inability to open the envelope.
Realising that Flick has her results, Lyn offers to open them for her, but Flick tells her no, so Lyn goes to put the shopping away. Michelle asks for Flick's advice r.e. Zack. Flick recons that if he keeps coming back that he must like her, but that she's going to have to sort out the rave problem herself. Lyn walks back through with a bottle of champagne, telling Flick it's some inspiration to open her results
Number 28
Susan is hoovering as Karl comes back with a bunch of flowers for her. Talking over the hoover, she asks what they're for, and he tells her there for her. She is surprised as he's never bought her flowers before, and returns to her cleaning. Karl goes to put them in a vase.
Number 26
Joe arrives back to find the champagne on the table. Lyn reminds him that it's Flicks results day but she hasn't opened them yet. She asks how it went with the bank, and Joe informs her that it didn't go well, but he's got another plan which he'll try tomorrow. He goes through to see Flick and announces that it's time to open the envelope. Flick though is sure she has failed, and opening the envelope will just give them proof to tell her that she shouldn't have been going out with Joel. She storms off to the bedroom.
Number 24
Paul passes the phone to Tad. He talks to Harold and tells him that his theory to remember stuff according to the tunes he was listening to paid off. Tad tells him that he's not planning to go to university as he's done too much studying, but will inform him of his plans when he's got them firmer in his mind. He jokes about getting Paul into the footie team so that he doesn't sit around watching sports shows on television all day, and it appears that Harold is proud of Paul's exam results. Once Tad's hung up, Paul tells him he wanted to do a bit better for Harold than just pass, but Tad tells him he has faith in him making it in the footie world.
Coffee Shop
Libby is keen to try and get the money back of Scotty, but Drew tries to advise her against the idea, telling her that he'll sort it. She wonders about going to the rodeo as that way they can get it back in person, and it's more likely to work. Drew mentions that Ron has put a bet on him in the rodeo, and didn't mention the price, so it's likely to be high. Drew tells her he'll only be gone a few days, but Libby tells him she wants to come too. They agree that they'll both go.
Number 28
Karl goes to put his jacket back on, but Susan comments on the scent of perfume still coming from it. He asks her what's wrong as she's been edgy all day. He asks if it's got anything to do with the new receptionist, but Susan laughs it off, asking why it would. She asks if he'd like to go for lunch the following day, but Karl mentions that he's working an extra shift at the hospital. They get ready to leave.
Lou's Place
Tad, Paul, Flick, Lyn and Joe have all gathered in the pub to celebrate their exam results. Flick still hasn't opened hers, so Lyn tells them of the time that she held onto a letter from George Michael for so long because she was worried it wasn't the marriage proposal she was after. Lyn continues to tease her, so Flick decides to open her results. She got 71, but isn't happy as she won't be able to get onto the PR course that she was after. Lyn reminds her that there is always the interview stage. Joe calls a toast and asks what they all have planned. Paul is keen to find his way into the footie league somehow, while Tad mentions that he's weighing up a few options. Joe offers Tad a job on the building site, which Tad says he'll think about. Flick decides that she's going to join Lyn and become a hairdresser!
Some Dark Alley!
Michelle has finished spray painting her message of 'Meat is Murder!' on the wall. Zack isn't that impressed as it doesn't match traditional graffiti art, but Michelle claims that she wants ordinary people to read her message too. Zack goes up to the wall to have a go.
Lou's Place
Lyn and Joe leave Tad, Paul and Flick to enjoy a night out. As they leave they pass an arriving Karl and Susan. It appears Libby and Drew have already been celebrating so they go to grab another bottle from the bar. While they have a moment to themselves, Libby asks Drew what is really going on between him and Scotty, as she knows he is hiding something. Drew admits that he owes Scotty big time, as he shot him in the leg. It's why Scotty has a limp.
