Recap
Evan and Maggie are talking to Debra Maloney of the school council and she thinks the school needs a change.
Susan says that she loves the school and their scores are some of the best in the district. But Susan's tenure won't be renewed. She can reapply, but the post will be open to competition.
Football Pitch
Leo tries to join in with a couple of boys who are kicking a ball about, but they won't let him. Some girls tell Leo he's a teacher's pet. He walks off dejectedly.
The Coffee Shop
Susan tells Karl that she's being punished for arguing with the school council. Debra Maloney thinks Susan is blind to "what's really going on". Karl says that's silly - Susan is a good principal with an excellent track record - she has nothing to prove. Susan can't believe she's an outcast in her own school.
Evan comes in and Susan tells him frostily that the school council want her out.
Scullys
Lolly is looking for Harvey, but he's still missing. Lou tells Joe that Bob is missing too. Lou sits down at the table with Joe and says his mate needs someone to drive a lorry for a one-off job. Joe says he'll have to think about it, but Lou tells him the job is worth $2000!
The Coffee Shop
Susan is ranting at Evan.
SUSAN: This is not a blind accusation! Time and time again you've undermined me on this, and then I find you conspiring with Virginia behind my back!
KARL: Susan...
SUSAN: (angrily) No, he did.
Evan protests that he didn't undermine Susan, but she shouts that his ridiculous accusations have ruined her career. Evan says he's entitled to his opinion but Susan counters that he isn't when his opinion is a load of rubbish. Evan gets up and says that they still live in a democracy and walks out. (God, how I hate him!!!)
The Pub
Matt and Steph are talking about the barmaid of the year competition - she thinks Matt should enter! Matt says that Steph is blind to boys' affections and he thinks she's gorgeous. Steph looks embarrassed.
Kennedys
Susan is still ranting about Evan, but Karl says they don't know for sure that Evan wants her out.
Darcy calls round with some notes about a patient. He tries to make smalltalk with Karl, but Karl is frosty and shows him to the door.
The Coffee Shop
Evan takes a cigarette of a student. The student protests that they're not at school now, but Evan says when she's wearing a school uniform, she'll obey school rules.
Leo witnesses this and is humiliated still further by his father's actions.
The Pub
Darcy comes in and greets Steph. He's on a date. Steph is shocked and tells Matt quietly that five seconds ago Darcy was heartbroken over Tess! Matt says everyone has to get back in the game sometime, but Steph says Tess's side of the bed is still warm!
MATT: How long do you intend to wait before your next relationship?
STEPH: Oh, don't hold back will you! Just come right out with it!
Steph laughs and says she doesn't know - her man radar isn't on at the moment and she might never meet again. Matt says that the perfect guy might come into her life, but Steph thinks the only way will be via flying pig! Matt says she's gorgeous, sweet and funny.
MATT: The love of your life could be right under you nose and you just don't know it yet.
Scullys
Lyn is cooking spare ribs and Joe is helping her by reading out the ingredients. Lyn says that the lorry-driving is a really good offer, but he doesn't think he can take more time off the taxis. He's still thinking about it though.
Kennedys
Karl is going through some rubbish bags looking for clues(!). Susan is still ranting about Evan. Just then he finds a perfume bottle.
KARL: Ha! I will find you if I have to sniff every woman in Erinsborough!
Lou calls in at that moment to ask them a favour - he asks them to be character witnesses for him at the court hearing. Susan and Karl both agree and Lou is very relieved. Lou tells them that he'd like to buy a dog for Lolly and asks their advice. They overwhelm him with suggestions!
The Pub
Matt asks Steph what she likes in a guy. She says it depends - he has to ride really or it would be a bit difficult, but other than that she doesn't really care. She tells Matt he's sounding like a teenage magazine and he ought to get out more. Matt suggests that they go to a Classics Bikes Exhibition. Steph says she'll let him know and makes a pretty sharp exit.
Darcy's date goes home. When she's gone, Darcy calls another girl on his mobile and arranges a date with her!
The Coffee Shop
Leo is sitting alone at a table. Evan and Emily come in. He suggests going to the movies as a family, but Leo doesn't want to - it's just not cool. Emily tells Leo not to be mean to Evan. Leo says it's hard having a parent as a teacher.
Scullys
Steph is telling Lyn about her conversation with Matt tonight - she doesn't know what to do. Joe says he could give him some of the "Joe Scully Treatment"! Joe says at least Matt has taste! She doesn't know what to do - she's not used to breaking hearts. Lyn tells her to let Matt down gently.
STEPH: Why me?!
JOE: Well, you've got your old man's problem, darling.
STEPH: What's that?
JOE: Irresistible.
The Coffee Shop
Karl tells Evan that he's right to voice his opinion, but he should try to bury the hatchet with Susan. Karl suggests a simple apology, but Evan gets angry and says he's got nothing to apologise for. Karl asks him to think about it.
Evan asks Leo if he wants to play football with him at lunchtime, but Leo doesn't want to.
Kennedys
Susan answers the door to Evan. She doesn't really want to speak to him but he wants to clear the air. He says he's not to blame and he'd improve her situation if he could. Susan tells him that she's willing to concede his observations about bullying IF Evan can prove them. She wants names, how the kids feel about it and testimonials. Evan says he's started on that already. Susan shows him out, shutting the door firmly.
The Pub
Darcy is interviewing a girl on the phone.
KARL:(dryly) Good to see you getting back in the game.
Darcy says that it's got nothing to do with Tess - he's just interviewing. He asks Karl to give him a break, but Karl says he's given Darcy enough breaks!
At a table Steph and Matt are having lunch.
MATT: If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were making a play for my affections!
Steph awkwardly tells Matt that she thinks he's a really attractive guy, and really sweet and funny too. But she doesn't want to go out with him. Matt says he only came to lunch because Steph asked him. He gets embarrassed and says they've had a major communication breakdown - he doesn't want to go out with her either. He says all the dating talk was just getting to know a mate - Flick's the one he's after. Steph is embarrassed too. Then she tells Matt that Flick has broken up with Tad.
Scullys
Lou has lined up an interview for Joe for the lorry-driving job and Joe agrees to give it a go. Lou has also been looking through the classifieds for a dog for Lolly. He's found an advert for two dogs that fit the description of Harvey and Bob being sold together!
LOU: What do you think?
JOE: What do I think? I think Harvey and Bob have been dog-napped!
