Recap
Steph tells Lyn that Michelle has made a deal with Zack - if they pretend they don't know each other at school, he'll let her hang out with him after school. Neither Steph or Lyn are very impressed.
The police raid the pub.
Matt says he's never been busted before - Matt is worried at what Lou will say. Toadie has not sympathy - he warned Matt not to do it. Toadie says to wait until the morning to tell Lou - Lou has enough on in his life right now.
Ramsay Street
Toadie is looking for Bob and Lyn and Flick are looking for Harvey. Lyn wonders if they've run away because of the loud music.
Matt comes up. He asks Toadie if he'll come with him to confess to Lou. But Toadie says if he can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Bishops
Tad and Paul are playing incredibly loud music. They say they're celebrating because school's over. They chat about the school social. Paul hasn't go a date. He teases Flick and Tad that they could wear matching outfits and be the prom King and Queen!
The Pub
Toadie is telling Lou that Matt was just trying to cheer Steph up. Lou is coldly angry on the matter and says he asked them to take on extra responsibility, and they've just given him more work. Lou supposes he should expect a call from the police but Matt tells him that actually, the police are expecting him down at the station at 10am! Lou is very angry - he's got a very important meeting at 10am. He goes off to try to rearrange it. Matt thinks Lou will sack him. Toadie says he wouldn't blame him.
Scullys
Michelle is waiting for Zack to ring. She asks Flick not to use the phone in case someone rings about Harvey. She says Zack might ring too - he might ask her to the school social. Flick says to call him herself but Michelle refuses - she's playing things cool. She'll go to the social with or without him, but wants to look extra-good in case it's without. Lyn offers to do her hair.
The Pub
Tad and Paul come in. Paul says Tad should buy two beers and say they're both for him(!)
Lou comes in. He is mad with Matt - he's had to have a long interview and they're interested in Matt's mates being under eighteen. Lou then turns on Tad who insists he's 18 now. Lou sees that he's buying beer for Paul. Tad says Paul will be eighteen next week, but Lou snaps that he could put him out of business. He tells Tad and Paul to leave before he throws them out.
Scullys
Flick, Paul and Tad are playing video games. Michelle is still waiting for Zack to call. Flick says she should be more independent. Tad tells Michelle that if Zack insists on ignorning her at school, the romance can't be going all that well.
There's a knock on the door and it's Zack. Michelle lets him in.
Lou's Office
Matt tells Lou that he'll pay the fine. Lou says it's not about the fine - it's about his integrity being called into question - his business could go down the gurgler.
John Allen comes in.
Scullys
In the kitchen, Zack is about to invite Michelle to the dance when Paul comes through for a drink. When he's gone, Zack seems to have lost his nerve. Flick, Tad and Paul are spying on them from the living room. Finally Zack asks her if she wants to go. Michelle asks if he means as his girlfriend. Zack says he does, so Michelle agrees.
Lou's Office
John is cross that Lou called off the meeting - he says Louise should be his top priority. Lou says that she is, but his appointment at 10am was unavoidable. John asks if it was to do with Lou's narcotics problem(!) Lou tells him it was unrelated. He says missing the meeting was a one-off and it won't happen again.
Scullys
Zack is admiring the 80s decoration of the Scully house. Lyn comes in with some shopping and Michelle introduces her to Zack. Lyn asks if they're going to the social tonight. Michelle tells her to keep her nose out. She tells Zack that Harvey has gone missing and they've made some posters to put up about him. Lyn tells Michelle that she forgot to put one up in the salon, so could she take one there later. Zack is surprised to learn that Lyn is a hairdresser. He hopes she'll do Michelle's hair tonight.
As Zack leaves, he tells Michelle he won't be too full-on with her at the social because it's still a school event. He says no "PDA"s because he wants his friends to get used to the idea first. When he's gone, Tad and Paul mock his use of "PDA".
The Coffee Shop
Lou is telling Susan that things aren't going very well - a psychologist is coming to assess his interaction with Lolly.
Matt comes in and says he wants to pay the fine as a final gesture. Lou says he doesn't have to leave his job and Matt is pleased.
Toadie comes in. He is carrying some dry-cleaning because he's starting his internship. Susan says that it's an end to the wild Toadie(!). Toadie says it isn't - he'll be DJing at the school social tonight. They chat about Susan's job. Toadie tells her not to stress - she is a rocking principal. Susan says she'll remember his kind words when she's standing in the dole queue(!)
Scullys
Paul is still mocking Zack's use of "PDA". Tad asks him if he knows what PDA means and Paul admits that he doesn't!
Flick and Michelle are dressed for the social. Michelle asks Flick if she looks older and Flick says she looks at least two years older.
School Social
Michelle is waiting for Zack to arrive. Tad, Paul and Flick go on into the dance.
EVentually Zack turns up and tells Michelle that she looks really nice. He kisses her and she looks pleased.
Later at the School Social
Toadie is announcing the annual awards. He gives an award to Susan for stopping bullying at the school and gives her a sash. Everyone claps wildly.
Even later at the School Social
Everyone is dancing. Paul is asking Tad and Flick why they're not dancing. Tad asks Flick if she wants to dance, but she says, "Maybe later"
Michelle is on her own, mostly. Zack comes up to her eventually.
A slow dance starts and Tad and Flick get up to dance. Tad tells Flick nervously that a friend of his has a hotel room that is free and he's offered it to him. In fact, it's the penthouse suite. He asks Flick if she wants to join him there.
Paul asks Michelle where Zack is. She says they will be going public later when Zack introduces her to his friends.
Tad passes Paul and says he and Flick are off to a five-star hotel. Paul thinks the invitation includes him and is pleased. Tad tells him it's private and not to wait up. He tells Paul he'll see him tomorrow.
Ladies' Toilets
Two girls are bitching about Michelle's hair and clothes and saying that they can't believe that Zack brought her as his date. When they leave, a cubicle opens and Michelle is in there. She's overheard everything and is in tears about it. She runs out.
Posh Hotel
Tad and Flick take the lift to the penthouse. Tad opens the penthouse door to find a sumptuous room with all facilities included. They sit down and sip champagne. Tad plays about on a grand piano. Finally they go into the bedroom and Tad jumps on to the bed. He says it's comfy and Flick looks nervous.
