Recap
Tad shows Paul the bottle of scotch he took from Toadie's for the school camp. Steph discovers Woody awake in the middle of the night but he won't tell her why.
Number 26
Woody tells Steph that he went to the garage to look for a key that he left hidden before going into the witness protection scheme. Steph asks him what it was for and he explains that it's for a lock-up and was given to him by his cellmate in prison who died of cancer a few months back. She worries that it's 'dirty money' but he tells her that although he went in for assisted robbery, he earned the money elsewhere and is probably only a grand or so, which they are to treat as inheritance. He tells Steph that their trouble is, when he went to look for the key, it wasn't where he left it.
Number 24
Paul and Tad finish watching a film. Paul realises that they've only got four hours before they have to leave for camp and wonders why Tad isn't worried about getting some sleep. Tad daydreams about how they will be spending the next few nights under the stars and he will be teaching them all about the constellations, including Venus the planet of love, and Alpha Centori the kissing star. Paul tells him he's delusional and asks where he gets them from. Tad tells him that he makes it up, but the girls don't mind. He asks Paul who he's going to 'hit on' at camp. Paul recons Monique, but Tad jokes he's not in her league, and that she would rather go for the 'Lion King' type like himself. Paul goes off to bed.
Number 26
Steph tells Woody that Drew found the key at the garage. Woody gets enthusiastic, and suggests going to get it then and there, but Steph tells him she will go in the morning, and that they've got nothing to hide about it. Flick wanders through and asks who's leaving, but Steph tells her no one is. Their commotion wakes up Joe and Lyn who come through to find out what was what. Joe notices that Woody is wearing day clothes, so Steph tells them he was going to go for a walk, but he isn't anymore. They go back to bed.
Number 32
Susan comes round to find out if Evan and Matt are ready. She asks Evan if he's got a route planned, or a stop for morning tea, but he tells her that there's two ways they could go and they'll play it by ear. Matt goes to round up Tad, Paul and Flick, so they can get moving. Evan admits to being quite excited about it all.
Number 26
Lyn runs around getting the last minute things to pack for Flick. Joe tells her to have a good time, and enjoy herself. Steph promises to Flick that she'll still be there when they get back. Matt arrives at the door, so Flick says her goodbyes, and Joe and Lyn return to bed.
Carpenter's Mechanics
Steph comes over to see Drew at the garage. He tells her that he's found her the perfect car, but that it's not nearly as sexy as her bike. She asks him another favour, that he's not to tell anyone, but Woody is leaving the witness protection programme and she's going with him, hence the car. She asks him if she could have the key.
Number 26
Joe tells Woody that he's not to put Steph's family at risk whilst he's staying with them. He tells her that both he and Lyn are worried about what Steph's future holds. He tells Joe, he loves Steph with all his heart and won't do anything to hurt her. Joe warns him that if anything were to happen to Steph, nothing would stop him from finding him.
Carpenter's Mechanics
Drew gives Steph the key, he warns Steph about Woody's enemies, but she promises that they will take care. She asks him not to mention it to anyone, not even Libby.
Lassiters
Darcy bumps into Tess, but tells her he's running late and Karl is stuck at the hospital so he hasn't got time for lunch. She asks if he's spoken to Karl yet, but he tells her not to worry and that her husband will be a very rich man when the deal goes through. She tells him she doesn't like hiding things from their friends, but Darcy tells her she won't need to for much longer.
Camp
The students arrive at camp and pile out of the bus. Susan tells them to start gathering their stuff and setting up the camp. Tad wakes Paul up by hitting him with a bag, and they climb off the bus. Flick advises them not to look, but tells them Monique is checking at least one of them out. Flick goes to get her bags, leaving Tad and Paul to try and work out who Monique is after. Matt bumps into Flick 'by mistake' as she gets her bag. Evan watches on.
Number 26
Drew helps Steph to carry the chest inside. He takes the key back to stop Lou from asking questions and leaves. They open the chest, but all it contains are Norman's life belongings. Woody tells Steph that Norman told him there was definitely a 'nest egg', but Steph recons that prehaps the belongings might have been worth something. Woody gets to the bottom of the box to find another panel. He lifts it, to discover a hoard of cash underneath.
$73,523. They sit and look at the cash. Steph tells him to put it away, as it is obviously 'dirty money' but Woody tells Steph that he sees a safe, secure and almost comfortable future for them. He tells Steph that he promised Joe, he'd look after he and it'd give them a good head start.
Camp
Paul and Tad argue over who gets to pitch their tent where. Evan comes to sort it out and tells Tad to move some logs so that he can pitch a bit further down. Flick and another girl ask Evan where the toilets are. He gives them some toilet paper and a shovel and tells them to find a bush somewhere. He says the boys'll dig a pit later. Susan comes over and suggests that perhaps the girls could use the toilets in the cabin, but Evan says there'll be no sexual discrimination.
Evan rounds up the troupes. He tells them to put their hiking boots on as once the tents are pitched they're going for a walk. They moan. Anyone that doesn't want to go can stay. They cheer. ... and dig the pit. They moan. Evan tells them there's nothing like country air.
Surgery
Tess comes around to tell Darcy that she's made plans for this evening for them. He has to go in with a patient, but she tells him that she thinks he'll be pleased.
Camp
Back around the campfire, Susan congratulates Evan on the hike, admitting that the views were great and the kids enjoyed it too. She congratulates Matt on his good work too. Over the other side of the campfire, Tad is trying to impress the girls by talking about the stars. Matt cuts in and corrects him. Susan tells them all to get on their backs so they can do it properly. Tad continues to come up with silly theories, but Paul reassures Monique that he's always like that. Susan points out Sirius, the Dog Star, a star from which the light takes nine years to reach earth. Monique takes Paul's hand.
Surgery
Darcy comes out with his patient, and asks Tess about the plan. She says she's organised dinner for them with Karl so that he can tell him the plan with Margus Teague. Darcy says no, but Tess tells him she'll sit with him for moral support. He asks her how much she's told him, but she says that only that he's got some good news. Darcy tells her that it's not going to happen that way, but Tess is unable to see what she's done wrong.
