Joel telling Dione about Darcy proposing to Tess.
No. 30
Sheena's mum calls round and gives him a cake for dessert and both are in agreement it was right not to tell Sheena that they'd met before. Mrs Wilson comments on the décor of the house making polite conversation with Toadie.
No. 26
Lyn is telling Joe she misses not chatting to the girls at the salon and Joe tells her that is the downside of being your own boss. After almost having a nasty accident with a carelessly placed hairdryer, tells her to hurry up and make her mind up soon over what she wants.
No. 30
There is a coffee emergency, so Mrs Wilson suggests they have coffee at her place but Toadie is a bit reluctant to go in case Sheena calls (she's working). She then increases her offer to include those fine Aussie biscuits Tim Tams as a way of tempting him.
No. 26
Michelle makes her poster for the demo and Joe is surprised to find Lyn watching the car racing on the TV. It must be to butter him up because she then tells them that she's made up her mind - she is going to go back and work at the salon. Joe asks if she is certain and Lyn explains her reasoning - she'd miss out on the latest trends and fashions if she worked at home. Joe accepts this and hopes that Gino backs it up with the pay offer.
Harold calls round and Michelle shows him the poster she has made before they confirm that the arrangements for attending the demo. Lyn tells him about going back to work at the salon and he seems pleased for her...well her business at TCS. Harold asks Michelle if her 'secret weapon' is ready and Joe wants to know what they are going on about but they refuse to say anything about it.
No. 30
Toadie is stalling Mrs Wilson's offer but Dione and Joel arriving home give him some relief. Dione heads to her room and Toadie does the introductions when Joel comes into the kitchen. Mrs Wilson says goodbye leaving Toadie looking mightily relieved.
No. 26
Lyn reminisces about protesting about the Dali Lama but Joe sends Michelle off to her room since Harold is calling first thing. Joe confesses to Lyn he doesn't want Michelle to be brainwashed at the demo but Lyn reassures him that Harold will be there too.
No. 30
Toadie is shocked when Joel tells him about Tess and Darcy. Toadie then tells Joel that he thinks Mrs Wilson made another pass at him but thankfully his and Dee's arrival diverted attention away from it. He also confirms that although he didn't say yes...he didn't say no either and wonders if he is as bad as Darcy for two-timing Sheena. Joel suggests that perhaps they aren't mean to be a couple just as Toadie announces he wants to tell Sheena because they promised to be honest with each other. Joel is aghast at this and firmly tells him not to but perhaps to...if it happens again. Toadie is having none of that though and wants to tell Sheena.
No. 26
Lyn debates if she should tell Gino she is coming but Joe says no. He also wonders where Michelle is when there is a knock on the door. Joe answers it to reveal Harold dressed up in a white bunny suit! They are both struggling to contain their laughter when Michelle now appears and she is dressed in a chicken suit! Lyn is more impressed with her costume and Joe wonders if they won't get embarrassed dressed in those costumes but Harold says nobody will recognise them (famous last words!) Harold and Michelle depart and Michelle tells Joe to look out for them on the telly and Harold adds that he'll have her back by lunchtime.
No. 30
Joel is surprised to see Dione up when he arrives in the kitchen (she replies that she couldn't sleep) with Toadie closely following in behind him. Toadie remembers they're out of coffee and Dione announces the tea is fine as she's had 3 cups of the stuff. Toadie tells her that he's heard about Tess and Darcy and Joel adds that she can feel angry if she wants but Dione says that is just a waste of time and emotion. Toadie tries to persuade Joel to get some coffee in case Sheena wants one after he's spilled the beans. Joel again tries to tell him not to tell Sheena and Dione thinks she is missing out on something. Once they tell her she isn't exactly impressed but that conversation is curtailed when Sheena arrives demanding coffee after a bad night.
Joel and Dione make a convenient exit as Sheena asks how it went with her mum last night. Toadie tells her that he thinks her mum likes him but she doesn't pick up on what he meant, so he replies that he thinks her mum put the hard on him or at least that is what he thinks she was doing. Sheena is having trouble believing this as we head into a commercial break.
No. 30
Toadie tells Sheena exactly what her mum said. Sheena still doesn't think there was anything to it because her mum is a flirt...indeed famous for it. Toadie then tells Sheena that this wasn't the first time her mum has flirted with him. She is a bit curious, so he tells her that it also happened in the pub and Sheena goes to call her mum to get the truth but he stops her and confesses that he didn't turn her mum down.
Demo
"Save god's creatures," shout the protestors as Harold and Michelle arrive and join in. Harold comments that the demo is properly organised as they take a breather from the chanting.
No. 30
Sheena is in shock at what Toadie just told her. She thought he was different from other guys. Toadie assures her nothing happened last night with her mum but she adds that was only due to Joel and Dione arriving home. Sheena decides she's had enough and departs telling Toadie to call her when he's figured things out. Toadie hopes that they don't break up over this and Sheena replies that she isn't making any promises.
Demo
The demo continues but things take a slightly different tact when one of the organisers gets out a pair of handcuffs and after securing one end to the railings leads a puzzled Harold up and puts the other end round his wrist! Michelle joins in as Harold protests that the demo is a peaceful one and the handcuffing isn't necessary. He demands the cuffs are removed but Michelle says it is just good publicity...as we hear the police arrive as well as a film crew! The organiser also chains herself to the railings just as the officers arrive at the fence as Harold begins to wish he was elsewhere.
No. 30 back yard
Joel wonders if it is safe to go inside now before telling her she can talk to him. As Joel comforts her, he tells her she shouldn't bottle it up, which finally she does. She tells him that she was in love with a mirage and now she knows what he really is like she feels glad it happened before she got in too deep. Joel asks what she feels about Tess and Dione replies that she lost a really good friend. As she starts to break down she admits that she is so alone and wonders how she ended up like this again. Breaking down completely, she asks Joel what she did wrong and Joel comforts her.
No. 30/32 back garden
While checking out the fence on behalf of Lou, Joe falls over into No. 30 and as he sits up, spots Joel and Dione hugging although from his perspective it looks like a lot more.
