Libby and Stephanie leave for their camping trip - Joel and Dione tells Toadfish that Bernie didn't show up to see Joel get his award
Joel and Toadie are very impressed with Bernie's basket of champagne and caviar, although Dione still has her reservations. He explains that he tried his best to get the ceremony but got caught in traffic and then went to the wrong building. He wants to see his award and tells him how proud of him he is. Joel still thinks he is a legend but senses that Dione doesn't like him, he probes her as to why and she says she thinks his story about getting lost is a bit convenient. Joel isn't convinced.
Harold arrives back from Hobart. Cue nice bit of advertising for Qantas. Madge is really pleased to have him back and Paul and Tad have made him nut loaf especially. Mmm!
Libby and Stephanie are enjoying their camping trip. Libby asks Steph to be her bridesmaid and she is more than pleased to accept.
The next day, Harold speaks to Lindsay from the Salvation Army and he's coming around to discuss Harold's predicament. Harold comes to the decision that he's going to hand back his uniform and bow out from the Salvo's. When Lindsay comes around, it turns out that the Salvation Army are going to stick by him and don't want him to leave. Madge and Harold are both shocked. Cue lovely Christian 'you're in our prayers' stuff.
Joel gets a call from his Mum. She mentions the awards ceremony and reveals that Bernie told her that he was there. Joel plays along but realises that Dione may be right about his Dad. Later, she comes over and tries to apologise about thinking bad of Bernie, but Joel tells her about the phone call from his Mum and figures that he might well be lying to him after all. Dione encourages him to talk to him.
Tad and Paul head down to the BMX track/allotment (which is suddenly bustling with activity) and Paul manages to do a 360 table top something or other. This means he is almost good enough for the Mud Master something apparently. Joy of joys. Oh, and some girl there waves at him and smiles - time will tell if that is significant.
Libby and Steph head for home on the bike. When they get to a crossroads, Steph stops and decides they should head to the Lilli Pilli Caves first as she's always wanted to go there. Libby says the weather's not looking too good (good enough for the UK I can tell you) but Steph talks her around.
At the Coffee Shop, Daniel (the reasonably good looking teacher that lived with Tess for a few weeks) is back (not that we're supposed to believe he went anywhere) and he and Tess are planning a night out at Foxy's, a club. Toadie joins them at the table and they invite him, but he tells them he can't go because he's got to study. They talk about Brendan and how he's due home any day now.
Joel talks to his Dad and is going to confront him about his mother's phone call when Toadie comes in and interrupts the moment. Bernie heads out and Joel tells Toadfish that he was going to talk to his Dad about something Dione said. Toadie assumes it was about him hitting on her and spills the beans to a shocked Joel.
Libby and Steph head back to their bikes. They talk a bit about Drew, Libby finally mentions that he's a particularly gorgeous bloke. About bloody time! The weather is starting to turn and Libby wonders if they should set up camp for another night. Steph thinks about it but decides they should just go straight home and she'll take it easy on the bike.
Joel meets Dione at the pub and asks her if Bernie tried to hit on her. She says she can't be sure, he might have been flirting but it doesn't mean anything. She says she didn't want to cause trouble. Joel tells her that she's just got to trust him and tell him things like that.
Brendan knocks at Number 30, carrying a bunch of flowers, and Toadfish invites him in. He asks him if he knows where Teresa is. It's a day for Toadie putting his foot in it as he tells Brendan that she's at Foxy's with Daniel. He heads off in a rage and chucks the flowers on the ground on his way. Toadie runs after him and tries to reason with him, but he's too late - Brendan is already in his car and speeding off to the club.
The rain pours down ferociously. Libby and Steph are still driving back. Meanwhile, Teresa and Daniel are dancing the night away at the club. Daniel has designs on a girl there and Tess decides that she'll make her own way back and he should go and try his luck.
Brendan, still in a jealous rage, is driving like a maniac. The rain continues to pour down obscuring his view. He speeds around a corner and pulls out from behind a bus straight into Libby and Stephanie's path. He hits them and the bike pulls away from underneath them, sending them both hard to the ground as the people on the bus watch in horror.
