Lance receives a call from Joel and Toadie wanting to borrow money from him to pay off the restaurant bill, but he hasn't got $400 to give them.
Tad joins Paul and Harold in the livingroom and Harold picks up on his nervousness at his forthcoming meeting with the adoption agency but Tad says he cancelled it as it was freaking him out. Harold tells him to keep the initial appointment as he can change his mind later.
Lou has come to their rescue and paid the bill for them. He gives them a lecture for what they did and they ask if they can repay him back over a long period of time but Lou has other ideas.
Joel and Toadie are now Lou's slaves at the pub for the rest of the week. In return, they want their light repaired but Lou points out that they are not in a position to bargain.
Lance is still feeling sorry for himself looking at the picture montage he made for Amy. Finally, he can't stand it any more and smashes it against a wall.
Michelle is gloating on the phone to her friends about what she did to Paul. When she hangs up, flick gives her stick for trying to bribe her friends to remain friends.
Lance is cleaning up the broken glass when Joel and Toadie come home. He tells them that he's broken up with Amy. They treat it like a joke until they see he is upset.
Paul and Flick pass Michelle in the corridor bragging to her mates about Joel. He tells Flick that he can't pretend he's in love with Michelle any more and wants to tell her the truth. Flick says okay, as long as it is in private.
Harold is showing Lou the financial plan for buying Grease Monkey's, and Lou is impressed. Harold asks Lou to come with him for moral support when he meets the head of Grease Monkey's. Lou says he'll be okay on his own but changes his mind when he hears it is Mr McCredie that Harold will be meeting.
Anne calls round to see how Lance is but he is still bitter and upset especially after she didn't tell him, and that he'll never forget what she has done before showing her the front door.
Flick asks if Paul knows what is up with Tad as he left class early but he wants to order lunch. Whilst he is inside ordering it, Michelle joins her – she wants advice on how to ask Paul out! Flick tries to let her down gently but she isn't accepting it, so she is force tot ell her that it was all a set up. Paul, with impeccable bad timing comes back out and Michelle tells him that she hates him before storming off leaving Flick feeling guilty.
Tess sets the class assignment when Tad comes late into school. He refuses to tell Tess when she asks him where he has been; only saying it is personal.
Michelle is giving Paul a hard time about what he did. She then tells him not to talk to her in the future and as far as she is concerned, she doesn't even know him!
Tad ribs Paul about the clothes he is wearing (tracksuit & t-shirt) to go to judo with Harold. Harold comes out of the bedroom and Tad tells him that he needs Coral & Barry's permission to look for his real parents, which he thinks is crazy. Paul gives his thoughts and Tad goes off on one until Harold is forced to call a truce between them.
Michelle is giving Flick the silent treatment so she tries to justify what she did. Michelle accepts it but not at using Paul since she really does like him. Flick apologises again but Michelle breaks down as she can't make real friends by herself.
Paul and Harold arrive for their judo lesson. Paul wants to learn moves to get back at Tad but he tells him to go easy on Tad. As they watch someone training, Paul notices Tess arriving – she's signed up too.
Joel and Toadie come back from the pub and notice that Lance has cheered up. He tells them that he's off to Mildura tomorrow to see Julia. They apologise for their behaviour and ask what happened but he doesn't tell them the truth. Toadie hopes that Lance isn't going to see Julia on the rebound, but Lance snaps at him.
