Previously on Neighbours
- Libby being told to work with Geri on the council story.
Number 26
Lou comes over to chat with the Scullys about the fire - he promises to cover the costs but both Lyn and Joe reassure him that the insurance company will take care of that. Joe reminds Lou of his promise to sponsor the cricket team and agrees to organise some t-shirts for them... as long as he can have a logo on them!
Road somewhere
Geri and Libby are doing some cover surveillance outside Chas Hancock's house hoping they don't get caught! Lib isn't sure if Chas will be in but Geri is very confident he is, her source says so!
Joel does his best to scare the living daylights out of them when he's out jogging - they don't see him until he scares them as they are too busy bickering with each other!
Ramsay Street
Joel reaches the street but a couple of young girls have followed him home despite doing his best to lose them! He might wish he'd tried harder as they now know where he lives after they watch him head inside to #30.
Number 30
Toadie thinks he's found out why the girls didn't go for them in the nightclub - it's because girls apparently don't go for looks but on what the guy does for a living. Joel doesn't think anyone would fall for them being "Hollywood stars" but agrees to play along with Toadie's scheme.
Their dating chat is interrupted by a knock on the door. Nobody is there but they've left something - a copy of the Dominator Sport's calendar picture of Joel and it's covered in kisses!
The Coffee Shop
Steph and Drew get a good laugh at seeing Joel in the calendar - she came across it in the sports store earlier. Drew still hasn't taken any time off and Steph tries to rope Harold into persuading him to take some time off.
Geri and Libby enter still bickering with each other. Libby declares that from now on there are going to be no more so-called stake-outs!!
Cricket oval
The cricket practice gets underway and Harold tries to show Toadie how is done (he's been watching Shane Warne videos!) until Joel throws a wild pitch to him, apologising profusely for the wild pitch!
Joe gathers everyone in and explains how he's going to do things, the most important being that they must all show up to practise or they'll be out. Harold pipes up and says that the older members of the team, by tradition, have a permanent place but is told "that was then and this is now." Joe then sends the team out to do 3 laps of the oval to improve their physical fitness. Drew is exempt due to his injuries and earns the coach's commendation for turning up.
The Coffee Shop
Geri has managed to get hold of the Mayors itinerary for the week and Lib suggests avoiding the formal appointments and instead choosing one where he is more likely to have his guard down. The pair get a break when Lyn comes in wanting help drawing up a guest list for the salon's opening and Geri suggests inviting the Mayor and his wife too.
Cricket oval
The players look to be struggling with Joe's fitness training although Toadie seems to be enjoying winding Harold up! Joe tells them all that they've got no right to have fun when they're all half unfit themselves and adds if they can have so much fun losing, imagine how much fun they can have winning... except it turns out that they last won a game in 1994! Joe demands a new attitude and a secret weapon - Steph!
(Later)
The players take to the field and Steph is definitely showing the boys what she's made of! Some of the men don't seem to want her playing for them... probably because she'll show them up!
Lassiters Complex
Geri refuses to give Lib credit for their change of fortunes... well following her plan when they exit The Coffee Shop. Lib isn't so sure it was right to suggest the Mayor's wife but Geri can't wait for the wife and the girlfriend to be in the same room together!
Lib spots Chas entering Lou's Place and Geri thinks her day can't get any better but before they head over, Lib tells her colleague she is taking the lead in the questioning so he doesn't get defensive. Geri isn't taking that lying down, it's her story and she'll do it her way!
Lou's Place
The cricket team are in the pub and while Steph sits with her dad at the bar, the (talking) others sit at a table discussing whether Steph should be part of the team or not. Joel, Toadie and Drew are definitely for her playing but Harold and Jeff aren't especially when Jeff reminds them of the rule for the club's pie night - no chicks!
By the time Geri and Libby decide on how they are going to handle things, Chas has left the pub after ending his chat with Lou!
Lassiters Complex
The girls rush out of the pub to try and catch Chas but he's already left in his car.
Lassiters Park
The girls that were following Joel earlier are back following him and he does his best to lose them.... And the hordes of other girls that have suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
Lou's Place
Since they've missed their target, Geri and Lib try quizzing Lou instead. They ask if he's a happily married man but Lou goes on about what a great pillar of the community he is. Geri reiterates their question and Lou says that Chas and Miriam adore each other, they're like two peas in a pod. "That man's an example to all of us," he adds. Lou walks away and Geri thinks they are onto something since he is singing Chas' praises.
Ramsay Street
Joel barely makes it into the safety of #30 before the hordes of girls start banging on the door and he stands inside wondering what to do.
