A nurse telling Joel that there may be damage to his knee.
Joel sees a story about himself on the front page of the newpaper. He throws the paper across the room.
Joel is stressing that his sponsor will pull out. Karl says he could recovery fully but Joel says he feels like the medics are hiding things from him. Karl says they just have to wait and see – the most important thing is that Joel is still alive.
Another Hospital Room
Sarah is chatting to a patient called Deirdre. Karl comes in and shows Sarah the paper. Karl suggests that Sarah visits him. Deirdre wants Karl to autograph the paper for her(!). Deirdre suggests that Karl employ Sarah at the surgery(!) because all she does at the hospital is to empty bedpans.
Harold is reading the paper. Madge has put the wine away while Leo (Paul's father) is staying.
Sarah is visiting Joel. He is telling her about the terrible dreams he keeps having about the accident. She suggests that she tells the specialist when he comes in.
Joel tells Sarah that Sally might be interested in getting back with him (he is still delusional!)
The Coffee Shop
Harold has spilt water over a message pad. Madge is trying to read the messages. Eventually she realises it's about the Health Inspector coming tomorrow! Although the Coffee Shop is always clean, they decide to start cleaning just in case!
Mike comes in and asks Libby for a menu. Then he tells her he's got a new job for the Erinsborough News – he's going to be a consultant in revamping it. So he and Libby will be working together. Libby doesn't exactly look pleased.
The radio host comes to ask Joel to do an interview about the accident. Joel says he doesn't want any publicity. The man hassles him and Joel becomes very angry. Sarah comes in and tries to throw him out. He threatens her but eventually leaves. He tells Joel he'd better do the interview or he'll do some creative journalism(!).
Mike tells Libby that he's known about the job possibility for about 3 weeks. Libby isn't pleased that he didn't tell her (yet again!!) but he says it's only for a couple of months. Libby says it makes Mike sort of her boss, and she's already contending with having him as her lecturer. He asks her to be honest with him and she says that she'd rather he didn't take the position.
The radio host is hassling Karl. Karl reminds him that he's already lampooned Susan, his wife, on the radio and therefore he should get lost.
Libby and Karl are talking about the accident. Libby says that Karl was a true hero.
Sally comes in to see Joel. She brings him a book to read and then says she has to go even though she's only been in there 20 seconds! Sally says the radio host is at Uni FM because his station is merging with Uni FM. Joel kisses Sally but she pulls away. She leaves.
Drew bumps into Sally. She tells Drew that she's told Joel that it's over. Drew says she could have waited until he was better. Sally kisses Drew and Sarah walks past and sees. Drew tells her again that it isn't going to happen between them.
Joel tells Sarah that Sally has broken up with him for good. Drew comes in to see Joel and Sarah leaves.
Drew talks to Libby at the bar. Sarah comes in to talk to Drew. She wants to know what's going on between him and Sally – she saw them kissing. Drew tells her that he's not interested in Sally, it's just she keeps chasing him. They agree not to tell Joel.
The Coffee Shop
Madge and Harold are cleaning for the Health Inspector's visit. Sarah comes in. Harold asks after Joel.
As Sarah is leaving Sally comes in. Sarah tells her to go easy on Joel and to leave Drew out of things.
Harold comes out of the kitchen sneezing. It turns out that Lou's missing rat is under the fridge! Madge reminds Harold that the health inspector is coming.
Not Joel's hospital room
Sarah finds Deidre with staring eyes. She is apparently in cardiac arrest.
