Recap
- Luke tells Ren that they should have an open relationship and not get too committed.
- Annalise is mad at Marlene for helping Danni out at No.32. Marlene gets cross and tells Annalise she never even told her she and Sam wanted to move out.
- Brook tells Phil he doesn't know how long he'll be in town for.
- Helen catches Hannah with an over-18 magazine and demands to know where it came from.

Hannah tells Helen that it's someone else's magazine and eventually confesses that it's Lucy's. Lucy comes in at that moment and is mad at Hannah for reading the magazine. Helen is surprised that Lucy has the magazine at all, but melts a bit and tells Lucy not to leave it lying around the house.
When Helen has gone, Hannah apologises for Lucy for taking the magazine out of her room.
No.24
Sam is mad that Annalise told Marlene that they might be moving out - he reckons Marlene hasn't spoken to him for two days. He doesn't want to hurt Marlene, but Annalise says it's time they moved on. Sam points out that Marlene is getting old and they should wait a bit longer.

Jen is pleased that Brook has decided to stay on for a bit. Ren tells Brook that he's very masculine and he needs an injection of femininity to balance him up! Jen decides to go to the library and Brook decides to go with her!
Coffee Shop
Marlene comes in to see Mark - her parish priest wants to develop a youth centre for kids with drug and alcohol problems and wonders if Mark would be interested in getting involved. He says he'd love to be a part of it. Sam comes in and he and Marlene head off home.

Karl is feeling tense and Susan is giving him a shoulder massage. Karl is a bit worried that their plan with Mal and Danni will backfire, but says they have to hold their nerve. Susan wonders what they should do for Mal's 18th birthday and Karl suggest buying a vacuum cleaner! Susan is looking forward to a family dinner tonight.
No.26
Lucy is making hot chocolate and offers one to Hannah. Hannah tells Lucy that she thinks Dayle posing for pictures and Lucy posing for pictures are different things - Dayle volunteered to do it whereas Lucy didn't. Lucy points out that she doesn't know that. Hannah has a lot to think about and thanks Lucy for the lesson.
Coffee Shop
Jen and Brook are having a coffee. Brook suggests that they go to see some art galleries together. He reckons that Jen has changed a lot and become really "settled". She's not sure she likes the sound of that.
JEN: It's not like Phil and I are married or anything.
No.24, the following morning
Marlene has found her gnome on No 30's front doorstep. Sam rolls his eyes and makes her a cup of coffee, while Marlene takes Annalise through the finer details of the gnome's whereabouts. Marlene is still upset that Sam and Annalise want to move out, but Sam says they've decided to stay until the gnome thing is sorted out. Marlene insists that she's not mad.
MARLENE: All you young people think you know everything. But grannies grow old and they "lose their marbles". Let me tell you one thing, young man. There is nothing wrong with my mind!
Mark is reading some leaflets about drug use when Brook staggers out. Apparently he and Jen went to Hypoxia nightclub last night. Mark is surprised to hear that Luke and Ren went off together after the nightclub. Just then, both Luke and Ren come out of Ren's bedroom and Mark asks Ren for a word.
Garden of No.30
Mark wants to know why Ren didn't tell him that she and Luke were a couple. She says she didn't tell him because she and Luke aren't *really* seeing each other - she wants a full-on relationship but Luke doesn't. She's not sure what's stopping Luke committing to her. Mark thinks housemates being a couple can be difficult and he's worried about her getting hurt.
No.30
Brook is sorry for landing Luke in it with Mark, but Luke says it's cool - he and Ren are just casual. He's not sure if she's getting keener on him - he needs a bit of thinking time.
Drug Group
Mark is having a meeting with some drop-out looking kids who don't look at all impressed with him. He invites them to introduce themselves but they don't look convinced.
Newagent
Jen comes in to see Phil and updates him on her night out with Brook. Phil doesn't look too chuffed and tells her that he can't see what Jen and Brook have in common anymore - he thinks Jen is leagues above Brook. He's realised that there's loads of things about Jen that he doesn't know and it makes him a bit uncomfortable. Jen isn't very impressed and tells Phil that he doesn't own her, and he's talking like he doesn't trust her. She storms off.
Drug Group
The drop-out kids are challenging Mark on his qualifications to be a counsellor. They're not impressed at the religious angle of his experience and tells him they can't relate to them - they reckon they can do better on their own! Mark tells them not to give up - they can meet up again tomorrow and try again.
Coffee Shop
Brook is probing Luke for details about Phil and how serious his relationship with Jen is. Brook reckons that Phil is totally wrong for Jen. Then he tells Luke that he's in love with Jen - nothing has changed for him since the split and he wants her back. He reckons he's going to tell Jen soon - and he also thinks she still loves him too.
