Cheryl wants to buy the Lassiter's complex by mortgaging the house and Lou's car business.
Marlene lets the badminton team down by dropping the shuttlecock.
Susan and Karl come home to find their furniture rearrange. Sandy Morris is watching them through a window.
Outside the Kennedys
Billy thinks the furniture was moved by kids having fun. Mal says it could have been a mass murderer playing mind games(!)
Billy asks Mal if he thinks the murderer will come back(!)
Cody and Jen are going out, but Annalise wants to stay in. Marlene is ashamed at her badminton failure!
Lou and Cheryl's
Cheryl is making a plan to get Marlene to invest in the Lassiter's complex using a drawn piechart.
Marlene arrives and Cheryl sits her down (my god the room decor is appalling!!). Cheryl starts asking Marlene questions like where she wants to be in five years time.
Sam and Brett are planning their landscaping job. Annalise is getting a bit fed up waiting for Sam to come to bed. Cody is just heading out and Brett goes to walk her down the drive.
Annalise tells Sam that she doesn't feel very well - maybe a cold or something. Sam thinks it's something's troubling her, but she won't say. She admits she's worried about selling the shop, but she's pretty monosyllabic.
Lou and Cheryl's
Cheryl is blinding Marlene with science over the Lassiter's complex project. Marlene is looking on suspiciously.
At the end of the presentation, Marlene says she's very impressed, but Cheryl's putting all her eggs in one basket. If things go wrong, Cheryl will lose everything. Marlene won't invest a cent.
Mal is fed up that there's no icecream left, but Billy is freaking that the furniture-rearranging nutter will come back.
BILLY: We're the men of the house, we have to protect the family!
Billy suggests making a trap and Mal reluctantly humours him. He thinks Billy's gone mad though!
Lou and Cheryl's
Cheryl is crying that Marlene doesn't want to invest and Brett brings her a cup of tea. Lou agrees with Marlene about the "all the eggs in one basket" issue. He thinks it's a big gamble.
Marlene gets up and is surprised to find Annalise sitting in the living room. She sits down with her. Annalise says that's everything's going wrong - she doesn't want to lose Sam, but feels she has fewer and fewer choices every day. Now the shop is worrying her. Annalise says she feels trapped.
Lou and Cheryl's, the following morning
Brett is up early to help Sam with his landscaping job. He feels extremely tired though. Lou encourages him by talking about Brett being on the boat (and sounds of the sea play in the background for effect). This cheers up Brett very much and he heads off cheerfully to work.
Mark tells Annalise that he wants to buy the Coffee Shop. To his surprise, she gives him the books to have a look at.
Cheryl comes in and tells Annalise that she has decided against buying the arcade. Cheryl's surprised and pleased that Mark wants to buy the Coffee Shop, saying that it'll save Annalise advertising. Annalise clearly isn't too pleased to be selling to Mark, of all people!
MARK: Is it a deal?
ANNALISE:(unenthusiastically) I guess.
They shake hands.
Ren talks to Rhonda about some junk she has to sell but Rhonda is quite rude to her. Ren says she'll tell Marlene how unpleasant Rhonda is. Marlene comes in and Ren gives her the junk. Rhonda becomes quite a different person around Marlene and becomes whiter than white. Ren sees this and looks uneasy.
The guys are limbering up for their Badminton World Record attempt.
Cody asks Sam how Annalise is doing, but Sam is mystified as to what's wrong with her. Mark comes up and tells them he's buying the Coffee Shop. Oddly, Sam doesn't really react to this. Cody tells Sam that everything will be fine with him and Annalise.
Mark hits the shuttlecock on to the top of the gazebo!
Rhonda is shouting Marlene to lunch. She tells Marlene that she's a great person for helping people out. She suggests that Marlene could leave her in charge for a couple of days a week to let Marlene have a bit of time off. Marlene is shocked at first, but tells Rhonda that it would be nice. Rhonda says she'll work Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Cheryl and Lou are having a drink. Lou says he's been talking to Cheryl's bank manager - he's agreed to mortgage the car yard. Cheryl hugs him saying he's a wonderful man. Lou says he thinks they are on to a good thing, so they should go ahead with buying the complex.
Mal says that Billy's trap is dumb, but Billy says it'll buy time while they call the cops!
Brett comes up, but completely fails to set the trap off - it's a tripwire.
Brett and Mal chat about the school magazine. Brett pulls a stray wire and a net falls down on Billy!
Sam has brought Annalise some flowers. She is still distracted. Sam eventually drags what's wrong out of Annalise - she thinks she might be pregnant.
