Number 28
Pam is trying to get Brad to admit he'd like to get back together with Beth. Doug has got an interview with a big building company this afternoon but he hasn't had an interview in 25 years and doesn't even have a CV. Pam says they'll put together a CV that will knock 'em dead.
Coffee Shop
Rick is getting in Annalise's way in the kitchen, asking lots of questions, as he's quit school and is going to be the new manager. Annalise asks what Cathy thinks about this and Rick says she wasn't rapt but wants to keep the business in the family.
ANNALISE: So you're my new boss?
RICK: Yep, so you'd better start doing what I say girlie!
ANNALISE: If you want to live past your teens, don't ever, ever call me girlie!
Lucy is waiting at the counter and asks Annalise if she was too busy looking in the mirror! She orders a sandwich for Mark and boasts that she is going out for dinner with him tonight. Annalise says he wouldn't but Lucy says he's outside so why doesn't she ask him.
Coffee Shop exterior
Mark is talking to Brad who says Lou hasn't heard from Lauren. Annalise comes out and asks if it's true that he's taking Lucy out tonight. Mark tells her if she's going to start getting possessive he'll have to re- think their situation. Annalise says she doesn't understand his poor taste and goes back inside. Mark thought going out with Lucy would get Gaby and Annalise off his back. Brad doesn't know how he does it and Mark says treat them mean to keep them keen. Brad warns him that he used to go out with Lucy and treating her mean won't work; she's a challenge!
Coffee Shop
Back in the kitchen, Rick tells Annalise she could have any guy she wants and shouldn't let Mark treat her like dirt. Pam comes into the shop and talks to Lucy about Doug's interview. Annalise delivers Lucy's sandwich.
ANNALISE: Hope you choke on it!
PAM: Ah, service with a smile!
Lucy explains about the date with Mark. Pam warns her that Mark gets around but says it wouldn't hurt Brad to take charge with Beth. Lucy thinks Beth is just scared of getting hurt again. Pam says Brad would love to try again. They plan to give them a "gentle shove in the right direction".
Number 28
Pam and Doug are working on Doug's CV and Pam is stretching the truth a little. Annalise arrives as she overheard Pam talking about Doug's CV at the coffee shop. She asks her for some help with her CV so she can try and get the job with Jeffrey Hockney.
DOUG: I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. If you reckon my CV was a challenge, imagine what it's going to be like trying to make Annalise sound employable!
Ramsay Street
Beth and Lucy leave No.30 and Lucy persuades Beth to come along on her date with Mark to protect her.
Number 28
Pam tells Brad that Lucy wants him to meet her at the Waterhole this evening because she's called off her date with Mark. Doug leaves for his interview.
Number 26
Lucy is on the phone but can't get hold of her agent. Annalise says he's probably found someone to replace her and insults her outfit. Lucy rubs in the fact that she's the one Mark is taking out tonight. Mark arrives to pick her up.
Number 28
Brad gives in to Pam's nagging and leaves to meet Lucy. Doug comes home from his interview. The managing director is an old colleague called Barry, which made Doug feel inferior, but he's confident about the job.
Waterhole
Beth arrives and is surprised Mark was expecting her. Brad arrives and is confused as Lucy and Mark have apparently made up. Lucy insists he stay and he does so reluctantly.
Coffee Shop
Mark asks Annalise why she doesn't go out and stop pining over Mark but Annalise tells him he should spend more time concentrating on his job; her meal was lukewarm and tasteless. Cathy will have to pay her more money if she has to train him. Rick doesn't want Cathy to think he can't cope. Annalise tells him he's on his own and leaves. Rick offers to close up for Kristy who also leaves. Rick opens the till and looks at all the cash.
RICK: Be strong, Rick, be strong!
Waterhole
Lucy is talking about how she knew Brad and Beth would end up together. She gets the two of them reminiscing about old times and Mark can't get a word in.
Number 28
Pam and Annalise are working on Annalise's CV.
PAM: Have you done anything that vaguely resembles a personal assistant's job?
ANNALISE: Ah, yes I've managed to assist a number of business men personally!
Doug is surprised to learn that Annalise speaks French and Pam thinks she has a good chance of getting the job.
Coffee Shop
Rick has finished cleaning up. He opens the till and starts dividing the cash between the bag for the night safe and himself!
Waterhole
Beth says there's not much work out there for a female labourer but if she gets desperate she can sell her wedding dress. Brad apologises about it going to waste and tells her she looked beautiful. The two of them head to the bar and Lucy is excited that things are going well. Mark complains that she has been neglecting him and Lucy says she'll make it up to him.
Number 26
Annalise opens the door to David Kazalian. He has just flown in from Singapore and is looking for Lucy. Annalise gets excited and asks if he's in Australia looking for new talent. David says he's just here to see Lucy and Annalise asks if they've got a thing going.
DAVID: Hasn't she told you? I'm her husband!
