Recap
Harold collapses with a heart-attack at the Coffee Shop.
Robinsons
Helen is pleased to have sorted out the Matron of Honour question out, but more trouble is in store when Jim starts angling to give Helen away. Helen has to explain that she's already asked Paul to give her away, so he'll feel like part of the family again. Jim is rather miffed, so thinking quickly, Helen says she wants him to be Master of Ceremonies. Jim is chuffed! He goes off straightaway to jot down some ideas!
Coffee Shop
Harold is lying prone in the store-room when Dorothy comes in to the shop. She calls out to Harold and Madge but there's no answer. She is about to leave, but feels something is wrong. She finally goes into the kitchen and discovered Harold. He doesn't have a pulse so she starts CPR.
DOROTHY: Come on, Harold! Come on!
Number 32
Glen comes round and Toby is still mad with him about Sarah. He reckons Glen is all Sarah talks about! Glen says he's not interested, anyway, Sarah is too young! Toby is not convinced and shuts the door in his face.
Robinsons
Madge is moaning to Jim and Helen about Harold's attitude to Lou. Glen and Michael come in. Jim immediately tackles Michael about the planning of the wedding - he's already been looking up reception places.
GLEN: Er...you don't need me, do you? I'm going to do some work on the car.
HELEN: Go! While you have the chance(!)
Jim is planning on 75+ people for the wedding and Helen looks rather taken-aback.
Ramsay Street
Glen is working on his car when Sarah comes up.
SARAH: Hello! I was just passing on my way back from the shops, so I thought I'd say hello.
GLEN: Just passing? Sarah, this is a dead-end street!
She starts quizzing him about his house and his car but Glen fobs her off. When Sarah has gone, Madge comes out and tells Glen how nice Michael is.
MADGE: Makes me wish I could get a trade-in!
GLEN: Oh come on, Madge, you don't mean that!
MADGE: Don't I just!
Lassiter's
The ambulance men are loading Harold into an ambulance, telling Dorothy that she's done well, and if Harold survives, it'll be because of her.
Robinsons
Helen and Michael are rather glazed over at Jim's suggestions for the wedding. When he's gone to make a cup of tea, Michael and Helen wonder what they're going to do - they only want a small wedding with a few close friends and family. Also, they want to get married as soon as possible.
HELEN: Perhaps we should elope!
MICHAEL: That's sounding very attractive!
Sarah knocks on the door and asks to come in and talk to Glen. Glen is rather shocked to see her and Sarah tells him that her parents need more gardening work done. He rolls his eyes.
No.24
Dorothy has come to tell Madge about Harold.
DOROTHY: Madge, he's been taken to hospital, he's had a heart attack.
Madge is shocked and very upset. Dorothy says she thinks the heart attack is severe and they must get to the hospital as soon as possible.
DOROTHY: I don't know what his chances are.
A park
Glen is explaining to Sarah that she shouldn't be in too much of a hurry to grow up. She should hang out with boys her own age - Glen is too old for her.
Robinsons
Michael offers Jim a loan of his car to go to the shops. He's chuffed and heads off. Michael tells Helen that Jim will be in a good mood when he gets back, so it will be a good time to tell him that they only want a small wedding. But Michael isn't happy when Helen mentions getting married in a church - he wants a simple garden wedding with a celebrant. He's not an atheist, but he'd prefer a relaxed affair. He offers her to toss a coin!
Number 32
Glen and Sarah have come to see Toby. Sarah apologises to Toby for being in love with Glen and asks Toby out to the pizza shop tonight. He agrees, very coolly, but when she's gone, he's tells Glen he's really chuffed. He asks him for advice on how to talk to girls(!)
TOBY: Please, Glen, it's an emergency!
Hospital
Dorothy and Madge are waiting for news about Harold. Madge is very upset, especially as she and Harold have been on bad terms. Apparently Dorothy saved Harold's life with the CPR.
MADGE: Oh, thank God it was you who came along!
DOROTHY: I only did what anyone would have done.
MADGE: A lot of people wouldn't have known what to do. I would have panicked. Harold wouldn't have stood a chance. Not that he's got much of a chance now...
Dorothy offers to stay with Madge for a bit until they get some news. Madge thanks her and they hug.
DOROTHY: He'll pull through. I know he will.
Number 32
Toby is all dressed up to go to the pizza shop. Glen tells him not to be nervous and just to be himself. He gives him $10 so that he can pay for Sarah too and make a good impression.
Robinsons
Jim is still banging on about quotes for the wedding. Michael and Helen break the news that they've found a church available for next week and they want to go ahead. They don't want the rest of the family spending the money to come to Melbourne, so it's only going to be a small one. Jim takes the news quite well - it is their wedding, and they should have it how they want it.
Harold's hospital room
Madge has been let in to see Harold. He's still unconscious. She sits by his bed and tells him it's all her fault - she should never have argued with Harold like that.
MADGE: Oh, love, I'm so sorry. You know I didn't mean those things I said, don't you? You know I love you. Harold, please don't leave me. Please don't die!
She starts to sob.
