Paul and Gail's
Paul is fed up with Hilary being unreasonable. He's worried that the whole Corporation will go up the spout. He suggests that they make contingency plans - look for another investor.
Mike comes in and has a go at Jane for judging Bronwyn. Jane says that Mike should leave Bronwyn alone - she's taken. Mike tells Jane to butt out. He says that he and Bronwyn are together now and that's the way it is.
Mangels, the following morning
Jane is making breakfast for Toby while Mary is resting. Toby is filling a fountain pen with disappearing ink. Jane asks Toby if he'll be pageboy for the wedding. Toby says he's not sure he wants Joe and Kerry to get married in case Kerry turns mean! Jane explains that things were different with Nolene and his stepfather - Kerry will do her best to be a good mum to him.
Joe comes in and tells them that he'll be glad when Henry gets back - he's worn out from doing all the work on his own.
Henry arrives home and gives Madge a hug. He asks after Bronwyn, but she's already at work in the Coffee Shop. Henry says that he's missed her very much. Madge doesn't say a word.
Henry says that he's thought about Bronwyn a lot while he's been away - he took a casual bar job while he was away so he could save up for something special for Bronwyn. Madge says delicately that he shouldn't do anything rash until he and Bronwyn have had a chat. But Henry says that he's going to do something that he should have done ages ago.
Joe is having a swift beer (in the morning??) when Jane comes up. She says that Amanda has rung her from Hong Kong to say that they can't make it to her wedding. Joe says it's typical of Amanda and offers Jane his support.
When Jane has gone, Joe's mate Keg comes up about the money Joe owes him. Joe says he'll write him a cheque.
Hilary still hasn't come round about the investment. Des comes in and offers to take Paul to lunch. Paul only has time for a cup of coffee. Des tells Paul that Jane's parents can't chip in for the wedding. Des wants Jane to have everything for the wedding, he doesn't want her to have to have something on the cheap. Des is thinking about getting a loan, but Paul says the debt isn't worth it.
Joe and Keg are having a beer. Joe goes to the drawer to get his cheque book. He writes with the fountain pen that Toby was using and Keg is very pleased. He tells Joe that the cheque had better not bounce!
Coffee Shop Kitchen
Bronwyn is being evasive with Henry. He asks her to get away early so they can talk.
When Henry has gone, Mike comes in. Bronwyn says that she couldn't tell Henry. Mike says she'd better do it soon.
A new computer is being installed. Paul tells Jane that he and Gail would like to give them a wedding present - to have their wedding reception at Lassiter's. Jane is surprised, but tells Paul that she'd feel strange coming back to Lassiters. Paul admits that Des is worried about the money for the wedding and says that he's talking about getting a bank loan.
Toby is playing with the fountain pen again. He gets some ink on Jane's blouse. Kerry is cross, but Toby explains that it's disappearing ink - it's already disappearing!
There's a knock at the door and it's Keg. He shows Joe the blank cheque and he is bemused. They put it down to too many beers and go off to the cash point! Toby and Kerry laugh quietly.
Henry has put together a romantic meal for two for him and Bronwyn. He is in a very good mood. Madge looks worried, but doesn't say anything.
Henry goes off for a shower and then Bronwyn comes in. She is surprised to see the table setting. Madge tells Bronwyn to get things sorted.
Jane tells Paul that she's just had some good news - she's rung the cosmetics company about getting some extra work. She told them she was getting married and they offered to pay most of the costs in return for filming the entire wedding! Jane asks Paul if she can leave early to tell Des and he agrees.
Gail comes in and shows Paul the figures for the gift shop - they're quite good. Gail is dreading her day in court on Monday - she wants to plead guilty. Paul says she must plead not guilty.
Henry is enthusiastically pouring out wine for himself and Bronwyn. Henry tells Bronwyn that he really missed her while he was away. Bronwyn goes all quiet and says that she needs to talk to Henry about Mike. She tells Henry that Mike thinks the same way she does - at first it was just study, but now it's more.
HENRY: Do you love him?
Bronwyn says she'll move her things into No.30.
HENRY: So that's it for us then.
BRONWYN: I'm sorry.
Bronwyn goes off to pack. Henry starts to cry, alone at the table.
