Bronwyn tells Madge that she's confused about her feelings for Mike. Madge is very annoyed and tells Bronwyn to move out.
Des is being prepped for his operation. Apparently he's next in the operating theatre. Des is worried about having the anaesthetic!
Bronwyn has packed most of her bags. Harold comes in and tells Madge that he's looking forward to the concert with Robyn. Harold is very surprised to hear that Bronwyn is moving out. He says that Mike is more to blame than Bronwyn - he's been pressuring her. He says she's been a steadying influence on Henry but Madge doesn't think that Henry will forgive Bronwyn. Harold says that after all, he forgave Madge for being swept off by Fred. Madge says it's not the same thing, but Harold says that it is.
Melissa sees Todd on the street - she's having piano lessons with Hilary. Hilary comes out and drags Melissa into the house. Melissa invites Todd to walk her home after her lesson, but he says that he's got too much homework(!)
The nurse is giving Des an injection in his behind!
Jane runs in looking for Des. She rushes into Des's room and tells him that she loves him just the way he is. Des says he looks like Mr Spock(!) Jane tells the nurse that Des is cancelling his operation - she loves him, ears and all!
Paul and Gail's
Paul tells Helen that he's got a book on stress management techniques for when the babies arrive! Gail says that he has to come to antenatal class tonight, but Paul refuses - his bit of the pregnancy is done(!) Gail says that he has to come to the classes and they start to argue so Helen leaves them to it - she's off to a classical music concert.
Paul says that he can't attend the antenatal clases because he has too much paperwork to do but Gail says Paul promised that he'd always put their family before work! Finally he agrees under protest.
Des has come round from the anaethetic and Jane brings him a cup of tea. He's disappointed that he's still "Big-Ears"! Des is all groggy and wants pizza!
Melissa is playing scales under Hilary's tutorage. When Hilary isn't looking, Melissa gets out a note that she's written to Todd:
I think you are real cute, I'll be waiting outside your house tomorrow so we can walk to school together. Melissa."
Melissa gets up to go and suggests that she could have lessons every day if Hilary could take her - especially as Todd Landers lives just across the road!
Bronwyn tells Madge that she wouldn't hurt Henry for the world, but she feels like she's unimportant to Henry these days. Mike was just someone to talk to. She starts to cry as she gets to the door. Madge calls her back and says she wouldn't wish the fate of staying with Hilary on anyone! She says Bronwyn can stay - but she has to make her decision before Henry gets back. She says she won't hold Bronwyn's decision against her whatever she decides - Madge too knows what it's like to be attracted to two men at the same time. Bronwyn promises to make her decision soon.
Paul and Gail's
Gail has been eating beetroot and has now got indigestion (what a surprise!) She says she'll give the class a miss tonight, but Paul could go on his own! Paul doesn't want to. Gail says it's the least he can do after her morning sickness and stretch marks etc. Paul says he'll go, but he's not joining in if they start practising breastfeeding(!)
Outside the Coffee Shop
Harold is pleased to see Robyn looking all dressed up. He tells her that she looks quite lovely. Harold invites her to a little vegetarian place around the corner from the concert hall before they go to the concert.
Bronwyn has made dinner for herself and Madge, but Madge doesn't have time to eat it - she has to go and see Helen before her shift. Madge tells Bronwyn to have a hard think and to make up her mind quickly.
When Madge has gone, Bronwyn looks at a grinning photo of Henry.
Madge tells Helen that she and Harold never seem to talk anymore. She tells Helen that Harold is taking Robyn Taylor to the concert - "that bloke he's been walking with". Helen is just leaving for the same concert and offers Madge a lift to Lassiters.
As they leave, Helen sees Melissa note which has been pushed under the door. Helen asks Todd if he knows a Melissa because she isn't sure which member of the family "Dear Spunk" referred to!
Des and Jane come in with two large pizzas. Des tucks in hungrily.
There's a knock at the door and it's Hilary. She wants to sign her tax form, but Des says he's still waiting for a statement from her. Hilary says her previous accountant never wanted that statement, but Des says it's dishonest not to have it. Hilary says that she contributes her fair share of tax, but won't declare her savings because she's already paid tax on them. Des says he won't take the chance - Hilary could have a jail sentence for not declaring her savings. Hilary stalks off.
After the concert
From a distance, Helen sees Harold getting into a car with a woman (Robyn).
Harold tells Robyn that he's had a wonderful evening. He reaches over to help Robyn with her seatbelt but suddenly realises that he's invaded her personal space and apologises.
