Mike and Bronwyn kiss.
Outside the Bishops
Mike says that they should just go with their feelings. He thinks that Bronwyn wants something more serious than what she's got with Henry. Bronwyn says that's no reason to hurt Henry, but Mike says that she has to do what's best for her.
Harold is listening inside the front door and overhears this! Madge comes out and catches him listening!
Bronwyn comes in and tells them that dinner was nice. When Madge has gone to bed, Harold tells Bronwyn pointedly that she'd better not get too used to expensive restaurants - she and Henry are on a tight budget after all.
Clarkes, the following morning
Kerry comments that Mike is looking chirpy this morning. Mike says that he might be seeing Bronwyn again tonight.
The phone rings and it's the plastic surgery people. Apparently they can fit him in today - his operation will be at the hospital at 3.30pm!
Joe and Jane are having breakfast when Des comes in. He tells Jane that his "business trip" is going to be sooner than expected - he's leaving this afternoon. Jane can't understand why Des is being so mysterious but Des insists that he isn't! He says that he'll see Jane in a couple of days.
When Des has gone, Jane says that Des has been acting really strangely.
Madge tells Harold off for being so cheerful so early in the morning when she's been working so late. Harold tells Madge that he's worried about Bronwyn and Mike - he thinks they're getting involved. Madge pooh-poohs this.
When Harold has gone out, Madge tells Bronwyn that she's fed up of working late and she really misses Henry. Madge says Bronwyn probably misses him the most though.
The Coffee Shop
Harold is meeting Joe and Kerry to talk about their wedding. He's put together a lot of lists already and Kerry is overwhelmed. Kerry tells Harold that she only wants a celebrant but he won't hear of this. Kerry says that she wanted something intimate with close family and friends. She insists that she doesn't want to get married in white, she'd rather something different - a bit Eastern maybe. But Harold says that he wants Kerry to have the full works.
Beverly comes in to order a vegetable pie. Bronwyn tells Beverly that Harold has great plans for Kerry's wedding and Beverly says that it will cost a lot. Harold suddenly looks very worried!
Des has arrived and is very nervous. Beverly sees the plastic surgeon and chats to him. Des puts a newspaper over his head, but Beverly recognises him from a distance. The plastic surgeon says that she's right, Des is having surgery.
The Coffee Shop
Harold is on the phone to some wedding caterers telling them off for charging so much! Harold rants on that the wedding will be very expensive and starts crossing some people off the guestlist!
Mike comes in. Harold tells him off for hanging around Bronwyn but Mike tells him to mind his own business. Mike invites Bronwyn to go out with him again tonight.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Harold sees Madge cleaning some tables outside the Waterhole. He tells her again that he's worried about Bronwyn and Mike - he thinks there's something going on. Madge insists that Bronwyn loves Henry totally, but agrees to have a chat with her after work, just to satisfy Harold.
Mike is now sitting at a table and Jane sits with him. She thanks him for his understanding about her and Des' relationship.
Beverly comes in to pick up her vegetable pie. Beverly lets slip that she saw Des at the hospital and Jane is horrified to hear that Des is having his ears pinned back. Jane runs straight out to the hospital.
Kerry brings Joe some afternoon tea. Kerry asks if Mrs Mangel will be able to come to the wedding, but Joe isn't sure. Kerry says that she didn't have the heart to argue with Harold about the trimmings for the wedding, and it may just be better to let him have his way - it does mean a lot to him after all.
Jane begs Mike to give her a lift to the hospital on his bike. Mike isn't keen - he hasn't had a passenger on the back of his bike since Jenny's accident, but he agrees.
The Coffee Shop
Bronwyn asks Harold if she can go home early because she's going out tonight and wants to get ready.
Joe and Kerry come in. Kerry says that she's happy to do everything his way. However, Harold says that he's happy to do things Kerry's way and claims he's come around to her way of thinking. Kerry is very pleased and so is Joe.
Madge kicks off her shoes after a hard day's work. Bronwyn comes in and tells Madge that she's off to see a movie with Mike. Madge says that maybe two nights in a row is a bit much. She asks Bronwyn if she and Mike are just good friends. Bronwyn says they are, but looks very guilty. Madge is horrified. Bronwyn says nothing is going on, but that she's confused - and Henry hasn't even bothered to ring her since he's been away. Madge can't believe that Bronwyn has deceived them. She says it might be a good idea if Bronwyn packed her bags and left.
