The Garage
Rob and Jim are working on a car and chatting. Beverly is apparently on her way home - she's in Adelaide at the moment visiting Todd and Katie's parents. Rob says he's in the same boat as Jim - Gloria is on strike over her job, no cooking, cleaning or "fringe benefits"(!) Just then, Gloria comes in with an empty lunchbox for Rob - to remind him what he's missing out on(!) He isn't pleased.

Paul and Gail's house
Joe is banging madly with his hammer much to Bronwyn's distress as Jamie is asleep. He starts telling Bronwyn about Kerry but then says he doesn't want to talk about it. Then he starts again and says that now he's given her the flick.
BRONWYN: And they say women are hard to understand!

Robinsons
Scott and Madeleine are discussing a newspaper clipping when Jim comes in. Madeleine tells him she's tracked down an old friend of her father's and has invited him round this afternoon. Madeleine is confident that they're getting there on the case, but Scott does not look convinced.

The Office
A Greek guy has come to pay the bill for the reception room for his daughter's wedding tomorrow night. Unfortunately there is a double-booking and the Greek guy becomes very upset and starts ranting in Greek. He tells Jane that all their relatives are coming and it's the first marriage in their family. Jane says she can't see what she can do. The Greek guy says he's not leaving until Jane sorts things out. He sits down to wait!

The Garage
Rob is fixing Henry's car and chatting to Henry about Gloria. Henry says Gloria is just trying to get a rise out of him - all women are like that. Henry advises him to ignore her and pretend he's not interested.

The Office
The Greek guy (Mr Scuros) is still sitting there as Jane continues to work. Henry comes in and sees the Greek guy. It turns out that they know each other - Henry does Mr Scuros's garden. Jane explains the situation and Henry tells Mr Scuros that it's not Jane's fault. Henry says he'd better go home and think of something. Mr Scuros agrees.

Robinsons
The friend of Madeleine's father (Mac) has arrived and Madeleine hugs him. Madeleine unfortunately has been called away to see the publisher, so she leaves Mac with Scott.
When Madeleine has gone, Scott and Mac sit down for a chat.

The Office
Gloria comes in to see Jane to ask how things stand with her job. Jane says she's keeping the job open for her but she can't do it forever. Jane suggests that Gloria should try a different tack - a reminder of what he's been missing out on.

Paul and Gail's house
Bronwyn is reading some pamphlets about night school but Joe thinks life experience is worth more. Bronwyn turns on the kettle and the garbage disposal starts going(!) Joe says he's got some wires crossed, but he'll fix it. Joe says there's a lot more damage to the plaster than he thought - he'll have to do the whole ceiling. Bronwyn is appalled.

Robinsons
Mac is boring Scott with stories from the war. Scott asks him how Madeleine's father (Andrew) felt about killing. Mac said Andrew was a peaceful bloke unless he "got his dander up" and he had a bit of a temper. He relates a fight in a bar where Andrew went a bit mental. Mac goes on to say that Andrew was his best mate but not the type of bloke you want as an enemy. But he also says Andrew wasn't the sort of bloke to kill - he was a top bloke.

The Garage
Gloria is apologising to Rob for the lunchbox and coming on a bit fruity with him. But Rob ignores her and gets on with fixing the car. Gloria becomes angry and stalks off. Jim suggests to Rob that they just sit down and talk things out.

The Office
Henry is just getting his pay from Jane when Mr Scuros come in. He apologises to Jane saying that his wife made a mistake - her English is not too good and when Gail said, "It's booked", his wife thought the room was booked for them. He is a desperate man as a huge wedding has been organised. Henry says he might have an idea - he knows someone with quite a large house.

Robinsons
Scott is relating to Madeleine what Mac said about Andrew's temper. Madeleine brushes it off saying Mac is a silly old fool. She crosses out all the bad bits from the notepad. Scott gets angry and accuses her of being biased, but Madeleine says she knows what she's doing.

Paul and Gail's house
Henry tells Joe just to patch the ceiling and the money is taken care of. He tells Bronwyn that he's putting on a Greek wedding reception. Bronwyn is appalled to hear he's invited dozens of people to Paul and Gail's house!
