Madge and Harold's
Beverly is checking up on Dan following his 'attack' on the street. She advises him to eat healthily and to keep on taking the tablets his doctor prescribed him. Dan is annoyed by the fact that he's being bossed around by Beverly who is female - and a Robinson! Madge asks Henry to stay home today to look after Dan. Henry agrees but says that he'll have to re-arrange another date for cleaning up Paul's garden. Dan is disgusted by all the Ramsays working for Robinsons. Beverly tells him that he must relax or it could make his condition worse.
Jim and Beverly's
Todd and Katie are rushing out the door when Lucy catches them, wanting to tag along because she's bored. Todd and Katie don't want Lucy to come however, as they're going to be doing something private. Lucy asks what the big mystery is but Todd and Katie are keeping their mouths shut. Before Todd and Katie can get out the door, Beverly catches them and wants to know where they're going. They tell her that they're going to the coffee shop. Beverly warns them not to get into any mischief. Beverly asks Lucy why she's not going to which Lucy replies, explaining that Todd and Katie are doing something private.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Todd and Katie are talking to some of Todd's friends. Todd wants to know if anyone of them are willing to ask Lucy if she'll go to Emma's party with them. One of them agrees, but only at a price - 5 dollars. Another one of the boys, Barry, thinks asking Todd for money is unfair, so is going to do it for free. He's new to the area so he thinks it'll be a good way to make some friends.
Madge and Harold's
Madge is giving Henry a sandwich, something that Dan wants, but Madge is making him vegetable soup instead. Dan and Henry start talking about Jack Ramsay again. Dan explains that Jack Ramsay used to dig/look for gold locally. Henry perks up and wonders if he ever found any. Apparently he did find a little. Charlene comes in through the kitchen and sits on the couch next to her Grand-dad. Charlene tells him that her and Scott want to accept his offer of a house in Brisbane, something that makes Dan very happy indeed. Madge doesn't seem overjoyed though, reminded her that moving so far away is going to be a big step and they'll have to find jobs. Charlene is convinced that her and Scott will be able to find jobs up there, and plus she wants to be near Dan more, as Scott told her about his condition meaning that he might only have a few years left.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Todd is telling Barry when to pick up Lucy tonight. Barry has to go, so Todd thanks him for helping out. When Charlene comes along, Todd and Katie apologise for what happened with Dan. Charlene says that she understands and that he's feeling better anyway. Todd and Katie explain to Charlene about the date they've got lined up for Lucy tonight. Charlene advises them to be careful though, if Lucy finds out, she'll chuck a mental.
The Garage
Scott is telling Jim that him and Charlene have decided that they've accepted Dan's offer. Jim isn't very happy, but understands as it would take them years to save up for a deposit to get a house. Charlene arrives and joyfully announces that she's told Dan about accepting his offer, and that he was really happy about it. Scott explains that he spoke to Sandra Lloyd about getting a job in Brisbane. She's got a few contacts that she's going to try for him, so hopefully they'll be something.
Jim and Beverly's
Beverly is making something in the kitchen when Lucy walks in announcing her boredom. Todd and Katie come in through the kitchen door and tell Lucy that they've found a date for her tonight - Barry. Lucy doesn't seem best pleased, despite Katie describing him as a 'hunk'. Lucy is infuriated and isn't going to as she isn't some charity case. Todd and Katie continue to persuade, but Lucy is having none of it.
LUCY: Forget it! I'm staying home and washing my hair!
Beverly advises her to go, as she's bored and blind dates can go well sometimes. Todd and Katie continue to plead. Lucy decides that she will go.
Ramsay Street
Henry is washing a car when Des drives up the street. Henry asks how Bronwyn is but Des doesn't know, and plus Henry has been seeing her more than he has! Henry reveals that he hasn't been getting very far with her so Des promises to put in a good word with her. Jim and Scott arrive up the street. Jim asks Henry if Dan is up for any visitors. Henry seems to think that would be OK so Jim goes on in. Scott reveals to Henry that him and Charlene are taken up the offer of the house. Henry wishes them luck, and is glad thinking that Scott won't be writing up the article about the Ramsays and Robinsons. Scott insists that he is though, as he's already done so much research. Henry is worried that it might give him and his family a bad name so tries to persuade him not to write the story. Scott says that the article will be completely unbiased, as he's just going to quote the diary and let the readers decide for themselves.
Madge and Harold's
Jim is apologising to Dan about Todd's behaviour. Dan says that Todd had absolutely no right changing the sign. Sensing his continued annoyance, Jim changes the subject. He thanks Dan for the offer they made Scott and Charlene and wants to chip in but Dan doesn't want any help from a Robinson. Henry and Scott who are continuing their argument come in through the door. Jim and Dan join in. Dan calls the Robinsons sore losers when Scott reiterates what the diary said about the 'usual four Jacks'. Henry thinks that the only way they're going to settle this, is to replay the poker game. It's Henry Vs Scott.
Des and Mike's
Henry and Scott are explaining their plan to Des. They are going to replay the poker game and they want Des to deal the cards. If Scott wins, he'll be able to publish the article, if he looses then he won't.
Madge and Harold's
Madge and Charlene are discussing the move up to Brisbane. Madge is upset as she thinks that Charlene is trying to get away from her but Charlene assures her that she's not. Dan joins them in the kitchen. Charlene asks Dan when he'll be leaving - Dan says that he might leave tomorrow. Charlene decides that she's going to travel up to Brisbane in about a week so that she can do some work on the house. Henry and Scott come in through the kitchen door and announce their plans to re-play the poker game. Dan is delighted as a Robinson has never beaten a Ramsay before. Charlene reminds him that it's all in the cards but Dan seems sure that the Ramsays will prevail.
Jim and Beverly's
Jim is just getting off the phone from Paul. Him and Gail won't be at Des's tonight as they're swamped with paperwork. Beverly thinks that the poker game is a cute idea but won't solve anything. A glamed up Todd, Katie and Lucy come out of their bedroom. Beverly and Jim tell them how great they look. The door knocks, it must be Barry. Lucy starts for the door, just so she can see what she's in for. She opens the door and Barry introduces himself. They're both completely smitten with each other, awwwww.
Scott and Charlene's bedroom
Madge comes in and asks Charlene if she can keep an eye on Dan tonight, as she knows how much is riding on this card game and she doesn't want him to have another attack. Charlene thinks he'd be better off just staying home and watching TV. Madge agrees but knows that he wouldn't miss the game even if World War Three broke out!
