Mike gets on his bike and drives off. Sally tries to stop him but fails. Jane asks where Mike has gone and Sally explains that Summers and Regan got off with no sentence. Jane and Sally decide they have to go after him.
Sally comes in and asks Des if she can borrow the car, as she needs to go shopping. Des asks where Mike is and Sally says he's busy. Des gives her the keys and Sally rushes off.
Jim and Beverly discuss the court case. None of them know the outcome yet. Todd and Katie are doing their homework and Todd asks if he can help Henry on his gardening round after school. Jim and Beverly agree it's a good idea but wonder who will look after Katie.
Jane and Sally are looking for Mike. Sally's worried something bad has happened and thinks they should all the police. Jane doesn't agree and keeps driving.
Outside Summers House
Mike drives at Summers and chases him around the roads on his bike. Summers is terrified and has nowhere to run when Mike catches up with him. Summers says its not his fault they were let off – they just got lucky with the judge.
Sally and Jane return to Des and decide to tell Des about Mike. Jane is positive Mike won't do anything stupid. Des wonders where the shopping bags are and Sally says she couldn't find the ingredients she wanted. Jane leaves and tells Sally she'll call if she hears anything.
Madge and Harold are trying to sort out the wedding invites. Harold is stressed out and doesn't feel anyone is taking the wedding seriously. Henry says it's not surprising given all the false starts. Harold is a bit miffed that he has no extra money for the honeymoon and Henry suggests her help him out on his gardening rounds!
Todd talks once more to Jim about the gardening job, he's desperate to earn some money of his own. Jim says he'll talk to Beverly but states that he's the best person to look after Katie. Todd goes to see Henry and Katie feels sad when he doesn't say goodnight to her. Jim tells Beverly the job is a good idea and asks Beverly to adjust her working hours so she can look after Katie; after all she said she would if they had a child. Beverly tells him to stop using the kids to score points and says as far as she's concerned the matter of their baby is far from resolved.
Madge asks if Harold wants to invite Kerry. Harold says as far as he knows she is in London but given that she didn't respond to his letter asking about the baby he doesn't think she wants to know him. Harold agrees to send her an invite and wonders if he is a grandfather yet.
Todd arrives and tells Henry he can't work for him because of Katie. Henry invites Todd in but when he sees Harold he goes back home. Henry reminds Harold that a while ago he never trusted him and asks that he give Todd a break. Henry says if he can't sort out the rosters Madge will have to help him mow the lawns!
Jane answers the door to Mike. He tells her he tried to make things even. He tells her he caught up with Summers and wanted to hit him. However he didn't and confronting him didn't make him feel better. He doesn't know if anything ever will.
Mike is shocked at how angry he got and now he's angry that he didn't hit Summers. Jane tells Mike she's proud of him and knows how hard it was for him to walk away. Jane assures him that Des will understand. Harold arrives back and tells Mike that Sally is waiting for him outside. He tells Mike that any man can throw a punch but says it takes a real man to walk away. Mike leaves and Jane asks Harold how he justifies his fight with Lou. Harold says he was merely defending himself.
Des and Sally are cleaning up after dinner when Mike comes home. He tells Des that he went after Summers but promises he didn't do anything. Des tells him he did the right thing and says he couldn't have done anything either – Jamie or no Jamie.
Henry drops in and suggests that Katie can tag along whilst Todd helps him with the lawns. Jim says no but Henry says it was worth a try. Todd is disappointed and Beverly says she'll try and work something out.
The Coffee Shop
Harold is in top spirits, he tells Sally that he and Madge have started planning the wedding and assures her that this time they will make it to the alter. Harold is sick of the jokes and asks what the world is coming too. He is insinuating that Mike acted violently towards Summers and Sally explains that he never caused them any harm. Harold realises he owes Mike an apology.
Madge is helping Des with Jamie when the police arrive. Summers has reported Mike for assault and they ask him to accompany them to the station. Des tells Madge he hopes Mike has been telling him the truth.
