Des tells Mike he is planning to have a relaxing day. Daphne charges through the house and announces that Paul and Gail got married on Friday night. Daphne is furious and tells Des she thought Paul and Gail were their friends. She tells him they are going over to the house to give the happy couple their best wishes. Des is not impressed.
Jane arrives and asks Mike was the commotion is about. Mike tells her Paul and Gail got married and Jane says she knew something was going on as Paul was acting strange at the office. Jane tells Mike she's not sure how much longer she can continue lying to Mrs Mangel about Len. Jane wants to borrow some paintbrushes, as today is the day where she, Scott and Charlene try to fix the damage caused by Liquid Beauty. Mike offers to lend a hand.
Paul and Gail's
Des and Daphne arrive and Paul calls Gail down from the bedroom. (Don't get excited she's just doing housework). Daphne gives Paul the present and says she was hoping to give it to he and Gail at the wedding. Des realises that he won't be able to get his own back on Paul for what happened at his bucks party, and Daphne comments that many traditions have been missed out. Gail tells Daphne she is sorry and says she and Paul have realised that they have hurt some of their friends by not inviting them to the wedding. They announce that they will hold a party for all the people who missed out on the wedding.

Jane and Mike talk about Scott and Charlene's impending wedding. Mike is nervous about his best man speech and what he'll have to wear. Jane tells Mike that Henry got Charlene the dress she wanted. She tells Mike not to get any ideas just because there are so many weddings around them.
Ramsay Street
Harold and Mrs Mangel arrive home from church. She tells him she needs a little more time to decide whether or not she wants Harold to move back home. Harold says it's a pity Mrs Mangel didn't have her accident at Lassiters as she'd surely be entitled for some compensation. As Mrs Mangel heads home, Madge tells Harold the blow to her head has made her a nicer person! Harold asks Madge if they can talk about a rather sensitive subject that he doesn't want to talk to anyone else about.
Ramsays
Madge shows Harold the wedding dress and tells him how proud she is of Henry. Harold says she has ever right to be proud and says that he has always believed in Henry. Harold tells Madge that he received a letter from his daughter Kerry; she is pregnant. Harold is not impressed as the father is a fellow backpacker she met in Europe and they have no intention of getting married. Madge tells Harold if he doesn't stand by Kerry now he could lose her for good. Harold says he can't go against his morals and doesn't know what to say to Kerry.
Paul and Gail's
Gail is clearing away the plates and Des thanks her for lunch. They all retire to the sitting room where Des tells Paul about his birthing video experience. Des is very excited about becoming a Dad again and tells Paul his turn will come soon. Gail looks on thoughtfully. Daphne sees some sketches on the table and Paul tells her Scott did them. They are drawings of the complex that they hope to use for the business. Daphne asks if there is any news on the bone that Lucy found, Paul says they are waiting for the archaeologist to get back to them.
Daphne goes to the kitchen to help Gail make some coffee and Gail once again apologises for not having invited them to the wedding. Daphne says she was a bit disappointed but seeing she and Paul so happy together has made up for it. She tells Gail that Paul is a good friend and has been through a lot. Gail smiles as Daphne tells her she's the best thing that ever happened to Paul.
Ramsays
Madge and Harold are having lunch and Harold is still worried about Kerry. He doesn't know how to handle the situation. Madge tells him his feelings don't make him a bad father; they just make him human. Madge tells him about Sam. She says at first she was deeply hurt and didn't want anything to do with the baby, but as time went by she accepted Sam and Charlene as a mother. Harold asks where Sam is now and Madge explains that he wasn't Charlene's son. She tells Harold how much she had grown to love him and missed him when he went. Harold thanks her for sharing her story but feels that Kerry has betrayed him.
Paul and Gail's
Des and Daphne thank Paul and Gail for lunch, and Des says he hopes they can be as happy as he and Daphne are. When they leave, Paul comments what a great couple Des and Daphne are and Gail hopes Des and Daphne are saying the same about them. Paul sees that Gail is a bit down and tells her they are friends and that she can be honest with him. He asks her if she wants out of the marriage but she says no, they have a marriage contract to sign tomorrow and she will be there to sign it.

Daphne tells Des what he said to Paul and Gail was lovely. He tells her he's a lucky man. Daphne answers the door to Mrs Mangel and asks her how she's feeling. Mrs Mangel tells her it's nice of her to ask however this isn't a social call. She tells them not only has she lost the last two years of her life, but also she has suffered emotional anguish. She tells them she intends to sue them.
Des and Daphne are shocked but Mrs Mangel tells them she is very serious. Daphne comments that it was Mrs Mangel who insisted on going up the ladder but Mrs Mangel says it was their dog that caused her to lose her balance. Des says he could work out a loan for Mrs Mangel if she needs financial help but she says she can't afford the interest. Des asks her to reconsider but she says no, they have to understand that now that she's a widow she has to look after her interests.
Ramsays
Madge is seeing Harold out and he thanks her for her advice. He tells her she's a very special lady and has a gift of being able to see a problem from both sides. Harold says he will write to Kerry but still doesn't know what to say, however he will try and reassure Kerry that he is here for her. Harold kisses Madge on the cheek and says he's sorry things didn't work out better for them. After he leaves Madge says she's sorry too. *sob*
