The Robinsons are looking forward to Lucy coming home. Jim says Lucy sounded cranky on the phone. Scott is playing his guitar and generally annoying people with his strumming.
HELEN: Scott, I'll do you a deal. You bring in the garbage bin, and I won't tap-dance on your guitar!
Scott goes off to sort out the rubbish and then Madge comes in and tells them that the police have carted Henry away. She is very upset and Jim tells her not to worry. But Madge says she doesn't know where Henry was at the time, he had a phonecall and had to go out. Jim rings the police station to find out what's going on.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Jeremy and Gail are having coffee and chatting about the engagement to Paul. She has told him about the marriage of convenience. Jeremy says she's a hypocrite - she's always telling him to be open and honest. He says that he wants to be happy about them being together again and not sneak around. He wants her to break off the engagement with Paul. She says as soon as he's sold the car, she'll sort Paul out and they'll get away together. Jeremy says the car will need more work before he can sell her, but he promises to do it soon.
Paul comes up and calls Gail away to work. There is clear tension between him and Jeremy.
The police station told Jim that the robbery happened between 10pm and midnight - they think it was an inside job, but Henry's the only one with a criminal record. They suspect Henry because he hasn't got an alibi and won't say where he was or who he was with. Madge says Henry couldn't have done it - he promised her that he'd stay out of trouble.
Jeremy comes in to chat to Paul. He says he won't tolerate Gail being involved in the engagement thing with Paul. He tells him that he and Gail have had a reconciliation and he still needs funds for the car. He says unless Paul agrees to sponsor him, he'll get Gail to pull out of the engagement and tell Mr Udigawa what they've been up to.
Madge and Charlene are chatting about Henry. Madge can't understand what Henry's hiding. Charlene says that maybe Sue knows and runs off to call her.
Paul is throwing Jeremy out of the office saying that Jeremy is trying to blackmail him. He says he wants Jeremy out of the hotel as well.
When Jeremy has gone, Paul calls Gail at a convention.
Jim and Scott are just off to the airport to pick Lucy up.
Madge and Charlene answer the door to Sue. Sue doesn't know what's going on. Charlene suggests that she gives Henry an alibi herself but Madge forbids this. Sue tells Charlene quietly that she could give Henry an alibi.
Sue is walking down the road when Warren drives up. He offers Sue a lift and she says she's going to the police station to give Henry an alibi. Warren says that she can't do that - she'll get into trouble herself and then she'll lose her job as well. Warren says that Henry is still on parole and Sue doesn't know him all that well.
Gail comes in and Paul tells her what happened with Jeremy. Paul said if it wasn't for her he would have rung the police. He says that Jeremy is playing Gail for a fool but Gail tells him crossly that she'll make her own decisions for her own life.
Jim and Scott have missed Lucy at the airport, but Helen tells them that she's made her own way home by taxi.
Sue and Warren are telling Charlene that Sue didn't give Henry an alibi after all. Madge is pleased that Sue didn't go through with it but Charlene is furious. When Sue and Warren have gone, Madge starts to cry. She says it's her fault for not giving Henry the ideal homelife when he was growing up. Charlene reassures her that Henry loves her too much to let her down.
Jim and Scott have arrived home. Helen tries to talk to Jim about Lucy, but just them Lucy comes out. She is in a rotten mood and shouts at them that she didn't want to come home. She shouts that she hates Erinsborough and her family. Jim tells her to go to her room until she stops acting like a spoilt brat.
