Helen asks Laura if Grace had an affair with Bill.
Laura admits that Grace and Bill had a brief involvement, but it was nothing serious and it meant nothing. Helen becomes distressed and can't believe that Laura didn't tell her at the time.
HELEN: I'll never forgive you, ever.
Scott and Charlene are studying, but decide to take the day off tomorrow. Charlene suggests a cricket match.
Laura comes in and tells Nikki that she's had a row with Helen. Nikki says that Laura should be avoiding tension.
Scott and Charlene come in and tell them about the cricket match they're planning. Laura says they could use it as a fundraiser for the MS society. She says they could ask Paul and Ray to be sponsors with their businesses. Also Laura thinks they should make it Ramsays vs Robinsons. Charlene isn't sure though - there are hardly any Ramsays in sight at the moment!
Paul is on the phone to Rosemary - apparently some parts of the business are having a cash-flow problem, so he'll have to sell off some of their real estate.
Paul invites Susan to dinner, but she says they've decided to keep things strictly business. Paul says they can talk business over lunch!
The phone rings and it's Mrs Kirkwood the babysitter. Sam isn't very well, so Paul lets her have a bit of time off to go and check on him.
Scott, Charlene and Nikki have had some lunch and are still talking about the cricket match. Scott suggests getting Mrs Mangel to umpire!
Helen comes in and asks them all to go outside for a bit - she'd like some peace and quiet. Laura gives them some money to buy icecream.
When the kids have gone, Laura offers Helen a cup of tea. She refuses. She tells Laura that she wants her and Nikki to move to Lassiter's for a while - she needs time to think and she can't do that while they're there. Laura is worried about this because Nikki's exams are coming up, but Helen says it's the only way she can cope at the moment.
Mrs Mangel approaches Paul about a broken key and he gives her permission to get it replaced. Then she asks Paul what union she should join! Paul says she's only there for two weeks, but Mrs Mangel is insistent.
Paul sees Laura and she says she has a couple of favours to ask. First she asks him to sponsor the cricket match and he agrees. She offers to help serve behind the bar in return. Then Laura asks if he can get her and Nikki a room at Lassiters. Paul is confused and asks what's happened at home. Laura says everything's fine.
Helen is looking at some old photo albums. She tears up at the sight of her wedding picture.
Laura is serving behind the bar and is telling Jim what happened. Jim says he can't believe Helen has thrown Laura out - this is Grace's fault, not Laura's. But Laura asks Jim to be patient and understanding with Helen to give her time to get over the shock.
Mrs Mangel comes over and asks what Laura is doing behind the bar. Mrs Mangel moans that she can't keep track of the staffing arrangements.
JIM: Well, you only to worry about it until Madge gets back so I wouldn't take it too seriously!
Mrs Mangel is appalled to hear that Madge is taking over the housekeeper's position.
MRS MANGEL: Well I'd like to know how she'll manage. She can't even control her own daughter!
Charlene, Scott and Nikki are walking back up the street eating icecreams. They are trying to think of people they could ask to come in the cricket team. Scott suggests Des. Charlene and Nikki go to the Ramsay house to study, but Scott goes home to see what's going on.
Scott finds Helen crying over the old photos. He looks at the photos of Bill and smiles. Helen says they were good together - or that's what she always thought. She bursts into tears.
Just then Jim comes in and sits down with Helen. Helen says she trusted Bill so completely and doesn't know how he could turn to Grace. Jim says that he stayed with Helen all those years because he loved her, it was just a mistake. Helen can't bear to think that Laura and Grace have been pitying her all those years. She sobs in Jim's arms.
Laura drops a box and Paul tells her that she mustn't overdo things. Laura says that Shane has taken over behind the bar. Paul still doesn't understand why Laura and Nikki have moved out of the Robinson house. He says if she's had an argument with Helen, they should talk things through. Laura says it isn't possible and proceeds to explain the situation to Paul.
Scott has got Dave Turner to play in the street cricket game. Laura comes in to find Nikki - they've got to go home and pack. She tells them that Paul is going to put $200 in and apparently Ray is too. Laura wants to play on Scott's team, but Nikki isn't too pleased about this.
Laura and Nikki are leaving and saying goodbye to Jim. When they've gone, Helen comes out of the kitchen and goes to her bedroom without a word.
Susan comes back - apparently Sam has got colic. She apologises for missing work, but Paul says she can make it up to him by having dinner with him! Susan isn't sure, but Paul says they'll go straightaway and she can be back in time to look after Sam.
Later at the Robinsons
Scott is upset about Helen. Paul comes in and says he's going to talk to Helen. She's sitting in the lounge.
Paul tells Helen that she can't blame Laura - she only did what she thought was right. Helen is still very upset, but Paul says she's just feeling sorry for herself. Jim and Scott tell Paul to back off. But Paul persists and tells Helen she's being unreasonable - Laura's sick and she's turned her away from her own family. Two wrongs don't make a right and he thinks Helen knows that.
