Recap
- The art gallery owner is surprised that Helen's exhibition has been cancelled.
- Charles is suspicious that Terry and Daphne are up to something.
Ramsays
Shane and Max are watching TV, while Danny plays his guitar in his bedroom. Max asks him to keep the noise down a bit. Danny says his family should be supporting him more(!)
Ramsay Street
Jim is reversing the car out of the garden. Douglas has just arrived and Jim has a word with him. Jim says he doesn't want Douglas to feel that Helen is tied to them - Helen is entitled to a life of her own. He hopes she and Douglas will be able to make a go of things.
Robinsons
Douglas comes in and gives Helen a little kiss. Lucy asks Helen if she's going to move out and live somewhere else(!)
Ramsays
Max is in a good mood this morning and whistling "Frere Jacques". He warns Danny not to let his rock star ambitions interfere with his schoolwork. Danny tells Shane that he's changing his life as of today!
Des's
Terry has popped round for a cup of tea. Daphne encourages Des to go straight to the pub after work and he laughs.
When Des has gone, Daphne rolls her eyes. Terry says she'll get the tape to a solicitor on Monday. Daphne doesn't know how to play things with Charles tonight - she'll just have to play things by ear.
The Park
Helen and Douglas are on a slide(!) Douglas tells Helen about his conversation with Jim this morning.
The Bank
Des is interviewing a job applicant (Tom Hargreaves). He seems a bit odd. The next applicant is Danny!
A road
Max is tidying his hair in the wing mirror of his car. A woman comes along and Max talks to her in French - it's Danny's French teacher and they're going on a date. She's made a picnic for them.
Ramsays
Danny is playing his guitar when Scott and Lucy come in. Lucy wants to know what it's like to have a housekeeper. Danny says Eileen is a nightmare!
Scott wants to know why Danny wasn't at school, but he doesn't want to say.
Robinsons
Lucy is looking very worried. Jim comes in and she tells him that she thinks Helen is going to go off with Mr Blake. They talk about how nothing stays the same forever. Helen comes in and Lucy hugs her tightly.
When Lucy has gone to the park, Helen wants to know what Jim said to Douglas. She says he's making a mountain out of a molehill!
Ramsays
Danny and Scott are playing their song for Shane. It's not too bad and Shane seems quite impressed. Max comes in through the back door and is also quite impressed. However, he tells the boys that he doesn't want to hear constant guitar after a hard day at work, but soon changes his tune when he hears that the music has scared Eileen off. He tells Danny and Scott to play the song again(!)
Des's - evening
Daphne is dressed up and sees Charles's car headlights outside. She quickly phones Terry. Terry is to borrow Daphne's car.
No.30
Jim and Helen are visiting Terry and delaying her. She rushes off, saying that she wants to buy French champagne for Paul's party.
Des's
Daphne is shocked to see Des enter the house - it was him that arrived in the car, not Charles. Des has just popped home to change his shirt. Then Danny calls round to see Des! Daphne is getting quite jumpy now. Danny tells Des quietly not to mention his interview to anyone until the result is decided. Finally, Des decides to leave.
DAPHNE: Goodnight, Des.
DES: I hope you know I'm madly jealous!
DAPHNE: Goodnight!
Daphne closes the door and whispers to herself, "Where is he?"
Charles's flat
Terry lets herself in and recovers the tape - which is hidden in Charles's flat itself! But Charles is still there and catches her.
