Shane's medical record is clear.
Daphne's grandfather beats someone up.
Shane doesn't get the job with the airlinr - they say he's a health risk.
Danny feels responsible for the accident.
When Harry has left Harry's house, Margaret Haywood calls for Harry.
Daphne tells Margaret Haywood that Harry isn't there - he's just popped out for a while and she's get him to call her back. She takes Margaret's number on the QE2! Margaret is very insistent that Harry gets her message.
Daphne tells Des excitedly that *the* Margarent Haywood has rung up. Des doesn't believe her at first, but it does seem to be true. Daphne says that maybe they've been wrong about Harry. She says they have to contact Harry urgently before the QE2 sails. Des says Harry has probably gone to Yvette's house. All they have to go on is that she works at a topless bar in the city. Des says he'd better go and look without Daphne. He moans a lot and says he's only doing it for Margaret Haywood. Des asks Daphne if they could meet Margaret Haywood? Daphne says Des had better find Harry.
Max, Danny and Shane are off to court. Terri comes in and Max asks her if she can handle this afternoon's job on her own. She can. They all head off.
Maria offers Terri a cup of coffee. She says she's been dreading the court case for weeks. Maria says that Shane was a wonderful diver, but it's in the past now. She hopes that man who did it will be put in prison.
Des has come back, but hasn't been able to find Harry. Daphne hopes that Harry is alright. Just then there's a knock at the door and it's Margaret Haywood. They are stunned, especially Des. Margaret Haywood says that Harry insisted on stopping off to say goodbye to them both. It seems that Harry is waiting in the limo outside.
It's true - Harry is outside standing by the limo. Margaret is taking Harry off on the QE2 for a couple of weeks - he's travelling back to Florida with her first class. Harry kisses Daphne goodbye and shakes Des's hand. Des says it's been a real honour to meet Margaret.
MARGARET: He really is the only man I've ever totally cared about.
They get in the limo and drive off.
Then the limo reverses.
DES: Oh God, he's changed his mind.
But he gives Daphne his "most treasured possession". The parrot. She takes it silently as he drives off again.
Daphne is telling Helen what happened with her grandfather and Margaret Haywood. She is showing Helen some recipes because Paul has requested a cuisine nouvelle night tonight. Daphne asks what Paul's girlfriend is like. Apparently Paul is very anxious to impress her with a formal dinner party. Helen's not sure how to convince the kids that jeans won't be an appropriate dress code!
Danny comes in - Miller was sentenced to ten years for Shane's accident.
Max is ranting.
MAX: Ten years! I mean, ten years only! I mean he should have got twenty!
Shane points out that you don't get twenty years for robbing a bank. Max is angry that the bloke will be out in six years. Shane tells Max to drop it - it won't change anything and he's had enough. He goes out for a walk.
Helen is setting the table and tells Lucy to go and put her dress on and stop arguing. Paul comes in with a couple of bottles of French champagne. Jim says he hopes the girl is worth it! Paul says that Basil will have to spend the evening outside(!)
Helen suggest that Paul goes and gets changed. Paul thanks her for going to so much trouble.
Max is having a beer and Maria offers Terri a glass of wine. Max is hoping that Miller will get his throat cut in jail(!)
Paul has come to pick Gloria up. She's waiting for him outside a mansion. For some reason, Paul is wearing jeans(!)
Lucy is wearing a pink dress and Julie tells Scott to turn the television off. Paul and Gloria come in and Paul introduces her to everyone. Lucy immediately asks her if she likes dogs(!)
They all sit down and Lucy says she prefers wearing jeans to a dress. Just then Basil barks and Lucy asks if Gloria wants to meet Basil. Gloria agrees. And I've just noticed that Gloria is Kerry Bishop!!
Everyone is having dinner. Helen is serving up her "cuisine nouvelle". Gloria is asking Julie about her work at the bank and Lucy tells her that the bank was held up a few months ago. Then Gloria asks what Scott wants to do. He says he'd like to be a beach bum but his old man won't let him(!) so he'll have to go to Uni instead. He doesn't know what he wants to do yet though. Paul tells Gloria that he was going to become an engineer like Jim. Gloria says that her father's an engineer too. Suddenly Jim realises that she's referring Charlie Slater.
Helen asks Jim why he doesn't like Gloria. He says she's a bit pretentious, but Helen says she's not at all, she's lovely. Jim won't tell her why he's grumpy.
Shane and Danny are hanging out. Danny has been thinking about the court case. He can't understand why Max is always so overbearing about everything. Shane says Max isn't that bad. He says Max is only looking out for their best interests.
Scott, Gloria, Paul, Julie and Lucy are playing poker. Lucy wins several times! Gloria is enjoying her time with the Robinsons. Lucy says that Paul and Gloria are sitting too close together - they can see each other's cards.
In the kitchen, Jim is still sulky. Helen thinks Jim is wrong about Gloria - Paul is really into Gloria. Eventually Jim admits that he doesn't like his son taking out Charlie Slater's daughter.
JIM: I don't want her in my house!
