Lassiter's Complex
Sadie comes out of the hotel and is engrossed in her phone. Max is in a suit and asks where the hotel is. He plays dumb when she points out the sign behind them!

MAX: I saw you and got all distracted.

He explains he's just moved to the area and wants to get a facial. He also mentions he's single. She tells him she's taken as Byron arrives and watches their exchange from a distance. She is doubtful over him wanting a facial and suggests a back wax.

MAX: Trying to get my shirt off?

He asks for her number, Byron arrives, and they both state Sadie is taken. Byron introduces Max and mentions that Max pushed Holly into the pond. Sadie realises Max is moving in. Max now clicks that this is Sadie. Byron points out that her name badge gives this fact away! Max realises Byron is wound up. Byron isn't impressed with Max's behaviour. Byron starts chatting about Wendy as they wander away.

Karl looks uncomfortable as Shane tells him things were going well in Puglia, they had oysters.

SHANE: Why can't you stay like that forever?

Karl is glad to be rescued by Susan arriving home! They go over to the kitchen. Susan thinks Shane would have finished talking about Izzy since the night before, Karl isn't so sure!

KARL: I'm the only one running out of material here.
SHANE: Do you fancy some oysters?
SUSAN: Not on his budget.

Susan is quietly sympathetic for men who dated Izzy but thinks this is going too far! Susan suggests that Shane talks to Paul instead.

KARL: If he gets another shoulder to cry on, he'll drown.

Karl decides he needs to help Shane get over Izzy.

No.30
Remi hopes that Aaron is ok about them suggesting him as a donor. Especially as Remi knows that Chloe has Huntington's. Cara thought they were just paying him a compliment by suggesting he would make a great donor. Remi keeps having to do double shifts and will be on call tonight. Cara suggests they cut back but Remi shrugs it off.

REMI: There's a point where adrenaline just kicks in.

Remi is looking forward to their family trip to New York. Remi has some ideas for them as JJ and Dex are currently on school camp! Cara unfortunately needs to head off to the Vineyard to do some work for Leo.

CARA: The wait will be worth it.

No.32
Sadie wants to know what the situation is with Byron and Max. Byron isn't impressed with him and that he's their new housemate. Sadie didn't have a problem with him

SADIE: I think you're the one being a bit extra.

She points out she doesn't need him to protect her. Andrew arrives with a mexi- lasagne for Sadie. He knows his cooking isn't as good as Wendy's, but Sadie appreciates him doing this. Sadie reminds him she's able to cook and can do that when not living at home. She had a good trip to see Wendy who was enthusiastic about her placement. Wendy was talking about graduation rings.

ANDREW: Murrayville is in for a treat.

Andrew had heard that Max moved in, but Sadie hasn't got to know him very well yet. Andrew reminds him she can come home for a break if there are too many people here. Sadie isn't overly impressed as Andrew heads off.

Lassiter's Reception
Paul introduces Max to Krista. Krista is stunned to find out Max is now the EA. Max tells them he appreciates being given the chance at Lassiter's which has a great reputation. He keeps on telling them he will work hard as Holly who is behind the desk doesn't look impressed. Paul asks Holly to give Max a tour. She is busy so suggests Katrina does it instead. Paul reminds her who's boss and she needs to do this. Max and Holly go over to the lift.

MAX: Nice workplace etiquette there.
HOLLY: I give that little spiel of yours five stars for desperation.

Krista is impressed but wishes Paul had consulted her first. He reminds her that she's done the same in the past. Krista concedes that but questions Max's experience. Paul is sure he'll be a great member of staff. Paul gets a call from Karl and wanders off to chat to him.

No.32
Byron mentions the place being crowded. Byron thinks Sadie thinks Sadie should officially go on the lease and move in. Sadie doesn't look so certain about this.

SADIE: You really know how to make a girl feel special.
BYRON: That came out wrong.
SADIE: Like an afterthought.

Sadie realises that Byron's plan is to get Max to leave. Byron admits to it, he winds Byron up and keeps flirting with Sadie. Sadie points out that Max knows they're a couple, but Byron isn't convinced.

SADIE: You sound… territorial. Earlier you cut in with this intense attitude and took control.

Byron tries to explain but she cuts him off and leaves.

Vineyard
Leo arrives and apologises being late for lunch, Krista is ok about it. They have a birthday event tonight and he was hustling with the group. They're after a champagne bar and caviar bar. Leo is pleased it will help boost the business. She tells him about her new EA, Leo guesses it's Max.

KRISTA: Just got a gut instinct he's not the right fit.

He was overly smooth despite his first impression was great. They know that Paul has got his heart set on it. Cara is here and Krista is impressed how quickly she puts the flat- pack furniture together. Cara needs to sort out the gutters before the special guests arrive. Leo offers to release Cara early, but Krista knows she will have time.

Ramsay Street
Byron stops his car on the drive to tell Sadie he's going to work for the birthday event. She is cool with him, he gets out of the car to talk to her. He wants to know if he's cut off her joining him in the house share permanently. She reminds him they decided the decision needs to be their decision, nobody else needs to be involved. Byron apologises and promises Max isn't behind his decision to ask her to move in.]

BYRON: I love that you're the first thing I get to see in the morning.

He wishes to return to how things were between them before this happened. He wants them to move in together and is sounding genuine this time. He also understands if she wants to return to No.26. Sadie doesn't say anything as Byron gets into the car.

Lassiter's Reception
Karl arrives, Max did a great job on his car. Karl admires Max's suit. Karl is pleased about Max's new job. He admires Max's work ethic at being able to start so soon. Karl wants to know if Max is seeing anyone.

MAX: I'm flattered but, er, you're not my type.

Karl laughs and explains that he's talking about his daughter who is bright and clever. Karl suggests they meet, and Max agrees. Karl continues to rave about Holly as she comes up behind him!

HOLLY: This better not be what I think it is.

Karl unwittingly introduces her to Max. She points out she doesn't need any help finding dates and ‘rather lick rust' than date Max!

Cara has come to ask for assistance in getting maintenance stuff to start on the guttering. Holly wants to talk to Karl, but Cara needs to get on with it. Cara decides not to cordon off the area as it's quiet.

Lassiter's Complex
Remi arrives and Cara comes down the ladder. Remi knows Cara is busy, Cara understands and will take a break. Remi has written a card for Aaron and wants to know if she's gone OTT. Cara reads through it and think she's got it just right. Remi wants to place emphasis that their donor is in full health, Cara agrees, she realises the donors are screened but things still happen.

REMI: Having the option to speak directly to them makes all the difference.

They agree the donor doesn't have to agree to get in contact with the child even though they agree for their details to be shared. They just want the option to be there.

REMI: It feels different this time.

Remi suggests it feels right to go for a known donor instead of an online donor this time, Cara is on board with this as well. Remi heads off and Cara heads back up the ladder.

The Waterhole
Karl tells Shane and Paul as he's playing darts, he is going on a bike tour Mike is doing. Shane tells them that Izzy wasn't interested on going on his motorbike.

SHANE: Hair issue. Izzy doesn't do frizzy.

Paul and Karl exchange looks. Karl realises that this isn't what Karl planned. They agree to talk about pickleball instead. Shane finds a way to link Izzy to pickleball! Shane realises he keeps talking about Izzy, Paul and Karl agree. They all agree it's time to change this. Shane decides to message Izzy, wanting to reunite. Paul and Karl don't think this is such a good idea.

KARL: You've got to block and roll, babes.

The others look at Karl in confusion, it's what Holly says! Karl advises Shane to stop contacting Izzy.

SHANE: Cos it worked so well for both of you.

Paul goes to get drinks. Shane goes to join Max and asks how things are going. Max tells Shane he's told everyone he's happy about the job and being in Erinsborough.

SHANE: You know we're only here for your safety.
MAX: You could have asked me what I wanted to do before hassling me into a job.

Shane thought he was helping Max as Krista unknown to them listens in. Max wants to have a say in his life.

Lassiter's Complex
Krista runs after Max as he leaves The Waterhole. She admits to overhearing their chat. She is sympathetic about him being forced into the job. She asks what kind of job he would prefer to be doing. He was training as an apprentice mechanic before Shane got rich quickly. Charlene helped Max get into mechanics. Since Shane started making money, he wants Max to make the most of his opportunities.

MAX: He wanted me to swap the overalls for a crisp white collar.

Krista tells him that it was an impossible task to impress her Dad. It seems to be about what Shane wants. Max moved to Ramsay Street as that's what Shane wanted. Krista points out the street is named after Max's Dad.

MAX: My Dad couldn't please him either.
KRISTA: So, it runs in the family?
MAX: Dad can't even see it.

Vineyard
Leo is putting the wine bottles out. Byron comes up to Leo and tells him he's been getting everything ready. Byron gets a call from Sadie, Leo agrees for him to take the call. Sadie apologises for calling him while he's working. She wanted to get it off her chest before he returned home. She tells him she's decided to move into No.32 permanently. He is pleased to hear that. Sadie wants Max to live there as well, Byron agrees to this condition.

SADIE: Glad I don't have to pack my things again.

Sadie realises she needs to break it to Andrew she's not moving home.

The Waterhole
Shane realises he needs to disconnect from Izzy.

SHANE: She has this hold on me.
KARL: She has a way of locking you up.
PAUL: Like a boa constrictor.

They all thought the feather boa move was unique to them! Krista comes in and tells them that the trial won't continue as they're not taking Max on. She points out that it's an unnecessary expense.

KRISTA: It's not what's in Max's best interests.
SHANE: How do you know what's best for my son?

Krista explains that she and Max have been chatting. She wants to know why Shane can't see that Max's heart isn't really in hospitality. Shane looks annoyed at this.

Lassiter's Complex
Cara has dropped some guttering on the floor and is about to head back up the ladder. Holly tells her that the VIPs will be there soon. Cara hadn't realised it would take this long. It's worse than she first thought. Cara climbs the ladder and gets the tape measure out of her bag. Karl has had a few drinks and comes over and is telling Holly the men are off to No.28. Karl plans to play his guitar! Holly isn't impressed at what happened with Max earlier. Karl thinks Max is a good guy

KARL: I really think you need a salt of the earth type.
HOLLY: You think I need a salty egg?

Karl heads off, Holly sees the VIPs and distractedly pushes the luggage trolley out of the way. The luggage trolley careers into Cara's ladder and Cara falls to the ground. Holly is horrified and shouts for somebody to call an ambulance. Holly has her hand to her mouth as she realises what she's done.

No.28
Karl is playing his guitar and realises his fingers aren't able to play after a few drinks. Shane starts talking about Izzy's fingers. Karl stops him as Susan comes out of the bedroom. Karl apologises if they've been too loud.

SUSAN: If?
Paul plans to delete Izzy's number, Shane knows it off by heart. Susan heavily hints for the men to leave. They don't take the hint as they plan on having more whisky. Paul realises from the looks on Karl and Susan's faces that it's time to go. Paul and Shane get excited about drinks at Paul's bar instead! Karl goes to follow them, but Susan stops him. He goes to hug her but she's not keen as he stinks of booze.

Erinsborough Hospital
Remi is giving instructions that the patient on the way is in a critical condition. Patient has a penetrating injury to her abdomen and possible injury to her head. As the patient arrives the paramedic reports the patient is stable. The paramedic continues to update as Remi looks at Cara in disbelief. Remi is now quite distressed as she tells the others that Cara is ‘bleeding out'.
